A: Pours a crystal clear light to medium yellow in color with some golden yellow highlights and moderate amounts of visible carbonation. The beer has a two finger tall fizzy white head that reduces to a patchy thin film covering about three quarters of the surface of the beer with a slightly thicker ring at the edges of the glass. Light to moderate amounts of lacing are observed.
S: Moderate aromas of corn and grain adjunct malts with a light amount of sweetness.
T: Upfront this beer is all adjunct malt with moderate amounts of sweetness - I get quite a bit of corn with a slightly lesser amount of grain. Light hints of bitterness in the finish which fades fairly quickly.
M: Just shy of medium bodied with moderate amounts of carbonation.
O: This is one of the better American Adjunct Lagers that I have had from the Caribbean and would probably be really refreshing on a hot day by the beach (unfortunately it is cold and windy here today).

Packaging: 12 oz. clear bottle, pry-cap
Glassware: Perfect pint
Purchased: Single from Publix, Huntsville
Appearance is a very light blond and clear beer. The head is white and about 3 fingers, with good retention but no lacing.
Smells consist of hay and grassy hops, plus light pilsner malts.
The taste is lightly bitter and has the same grassy quality as in the nose. Also has some spiciness and a touch of unpleasant vegetable notes. Overall not very flavorful.
Mouthfeel is crisp with a high level of carbonation. The body is light and aftertastes are lightly sweet and slightly bitter.
All around, this is a simple and average lager, but makes for a refreshing drink on a hot summer day.

A: single finger white foam head, lots of bubbles on a bright clear golden body.
S: very skunky and pungent grains and malts. one of the more offensive aromas of these caribbean american adjunct lagers.
T: I really waited for this one to offend and it never really did. grains, pale malts with light lemon and sweet corn notes. Aftertaste isnt terrible.
M: light body and high carbonation.
Overall: Smells terrible, tastes barely drinkable but not in large quantities.

Huh. This beer surprised me. Much different than I expected. I was thinking Red Stripe. But it's way different. The smell is typical of an adjunct lager at first, but then there's this oddity that sort of throws you off. It's a little darker than an American adjunct. By the way, I poured it into a pint glass. That oddity in the smell hits you on the taste. I swear I'm getting hints of prunes or figs. A pleasant surprise. The mouth feel reflects this as well. While there's the typical lager crispness and sharpness from carbonation is there but there's also a slickness left behind. Maybe from the fruit? I had this with a shot of rum. So whenever I drink some Sailor Jerry's again, I'm gonna want one of these with it. Went perfect with the rum.

A - pale golden yellow; thin layer of soft, loose, white head; little retention
S - musty, grainy, grassy
T - grainy, grassy, straw, a bit musty, lagery
M - smooth, well carbonated, smooth, light bodied
It's easily drinkable and smooth, but it doesn't offer much flavor-wise. It's better than most in this style, but it still leaves much to be desired.

Pours a clear light yellow color with a bone-white finger of head. Dissipates fast. The aroma...pleasant. Biscuity malts, light sweetness and a breadiness. Nothing wonderful but for the style, it's actually rather nice. The taste doesn't measure up imo. Sweet malts, bready, biscuity, but overly sweet. Is this an adjunct, or a pale Euro lager?
Crisp, light and clean. Good overall.

undated but coded clear 12oz bottle poured into a Unibroue (sorry Unibroue) snifter.
A: Poured a pale golden color with less a fingers of head that was surprisingly creamy but short-lived. Some lacing left on glass.
S: Corn, light malt and a tiny hint of hops.
T: Light toasted grain with a heavy corn component and a bit of spicy hops. Sweet/bitter components are balanced.
M: Crisp; light-bodied with medium+ carbonation.
O: A light, corny beer that would be more enjoyable on a hot day in the Bahamas.

Bottle: Poured a super bright golden yellow color lager with a pure white foamy head with light retention and light lacing. Aroma is dominated by corn adjunct notes with very little else to report. Taste is also dominated by sweet corn notes with some adjunct clearly coming through. Body is light with medium carbonation. This one is probably best left to drink ion the beach under on a hot sunny day.

Served in a chilled flute glass
This beer pours like a light champagne. There is lots of fizzy bubbles that fade quickly and there is little to no color to the body of this beer. The smell is nothing, but in the pantheon of beer smells that's not too bad. The flavor is like beer flavored water. I honestly believe that someone took stock beer, and mixed it with water to make it cheap. If I didn't pour the bottle into the glass myself I would have assumed that I was I was being cheated. The mouthfeel was all sorts of really thin, it was bothersomely watered down. Overall this was drinkable, but since mineral water has more flavor than this it's hard to say it's even average.

Enjoyed this on my vacation in The Bahamas. Consumed straight from a cold bottle (wrapped with a paper bag no less) while walking around Nassau. Extremely light in color like a Corona, but not as light as the glorified bottled water Corona Light. Taste is non offensive. A perfect beer for people that dislike beer, or only consume macros. There's a little sweetness and a slight grainy taste that I did enjoy, but I wouldn't seek this beer out unless I'm back in The Bahamas. Typical hot weather beer that is refreshing and tastes "good" when you're enjoying island culture.

It is what it is, an American adjunct lager that is fairly narrow on purpose, that purpose being the frequent refreshment choice of those visiting an island or hoping to reminisce on a trip. Why else would you grab this pale yellow headless beer? The aroma carries with it a little lightstruck quality that does peek out a little in the flavor. Speaking of flavor, this one has a ton of barley with little else. Finish is flat and watery despite the high carbonation. Aftertaste is fleeting, but there long enough to realize a touch of bitterness. With all that said, this buries Corona and is quite similar to Tusker.

[Best served in a Lager glass]
The pour was a pale yellow with a large (2-3 finger) fizzy white head that diminished quickly and had poor lacing.
The aroma was almost non-existent but did have a mild scent of a grain malt, a weak grassy hop and a moldy yeast with just a hint of caramel.
The taste was very lightly sweet and just a tad malty with a hint of caramel from the beginning to end and not much else. The flavor lasted a very short time with any aftertaste fading very quickly.
Mouthfeel was extremely light in body with the texture being rather watery and having a fizzy carbonation.
Overall a super light beer that did not have a lot of flavor.

Poured from a 12oz bottle into pint glass.
A: Poured a pale yellow with less than a fingers worth of head that settled to nothing with no lacing at all.
S: I'm getting skunk.... Strong pungent malts, adjuncts, grain, corn and a tiny bit of hops.
T: Taste, very adjunct lager... some grain, malt breadiness and some corny sweetness. There's a very mild hops mid palette, but it is very light. The aftertaste is pretty clean.
M: Crisp, light with pretty heavy carbonation.
D: It is what it is... ABV feels pretty light so you could drink a bunch but why would you.... There is nothing here or maybe I need to be drinking this in the Caribbean...

Poured from a 12 oz. Bottle into a pint glass, it's a clear bubbly gold color with a minimal head.
It has a typical grassy aroma with a bit of funk and not much hop profile at all. Its a bit sweet as well.
The flavor is more of the same, sweet, earthy, a little funky and not bitter at all.
I could see this being good on a hot beach but it's not as appealing on a November night, even a warm November night.

Another world common lager. With an aggressive pour I got a medium sized white head and no lace. Color is a clear yellow with lots of bubble trails. At first the only aromas I picked up were the beery hop and then I picked up more malt and wet grain. Flavor is similar to nose but with some additional big floral qualities and plenty of carbonic tang. Body is a little thin and carbonation very prominant. Finish also has major tang and some ot the above flavors and is on the short side.

I'm not a fan of the clear glass bottle- particularly in the tropics. Nothing much to say here- a typical adjunct lager, a bit cleaner than some. Pours the standard piss yellow with a slight head, and a constant stream of bubbles. Some grain and corn in the nose, as well as hint of bitterness. Fairly clean. Similar taste, but with a slight acridness as well. A bit grainy feeling in the mouth, not quite as crisp as I'd like for this style of beer. There is a slight edge of bitterness, which is nice. Basically, a throw-away beer good only for mowing the lawn or sweating on a tropical island.

Kalik has a medium, fizzy, white head and a clear, yellow-golden appearance, with very little lacing left behind. There are a few bubbles streaming up, but not a lot. Aroma is of lightly-roasted barley malt and dash of hops. The flavor is not much different, except that sweetness is also present. Mouthfeel is light and watery, and Kalik finishes crisp, clean, refreshing, and mostly dry. This is an enjoyable and round beer. I really think you should try it! RJT

Cruise to the Bahamas, and was served in a bottle at a local restaraunt in Lacaya, Bahamas. The beer is a very pale, crystal clear, vibrant yellow color with no head. The nose is heavy toasted aromas, with slight floral and corn highlights. Flavors are toasty and slightly sour, but light. The beer is very crisp and light, but carbonation stays low enough to keep from being sharp. Slightly sour malt and roasted aftertaste, with a clean, crisp finish.

Less than a finger head of white foam, little lace and little cling. Color is a 4 on the SRM beer color chart. Smells of cereal grains and malt. Taste is bland, with flavors of wheat, corn, malt and lime. Mouthfeel is bland and watery, but better than water. Had to try one while I was in the Bahamas, but not likely to look for it anywhere else.

Ordered this at the Hyatt Resort poolside bar in Key West. They had some interesting crafts on tap (which were all eventually tried by me), but there were alot of people drinking this, so I inquired. Me to Bartender;"Is Kalik any good?"- Bartender; "Hell yeah, it's my favorite" - Me;"Really?!, then I'm going to try it" - Bartender;"Ok dude, you're gonna love it!"...I should have know better, especially after he called me "dude"...and he's saying this in front of some really yummy taps. But it's from the Bahamas and all good things come from there, like...well, like....Atlantis, I guess. All I can say is, give it a shot at poolside, say you've been there, brag about the fact you drank a beer brewed in the Bahamas of "Export Quality", and move on. I have.

Bottle care of my brother, thanks dude. Poured from a clear glass bottle into a "brutus" glass. This is not your typical glassware but then again there isnt anything typical about this experience for me. It appears in the glass with a clear golden yellow color that is light with tiny particulate floating all through the body. A thin fizzy white head with constantly rising bubbles has a hard time staying afloat here. Let me side track for a moment and say that in a strange coincidental side by side comparison with miller high life, the champagne of beers actually looks sexy with a crest of white froth where this Kalik is naked with no head even after some swirls.
This brew smells quite sweet, like excessively sweet for an adjunct lager. In a failed attempt to try and get more aroma from this brew, I suspect I imagined a faint scent of bready grains and a touch of sulfur. The overall dominating sweetness of this beer has a hint of something reminiscent of candy sweetness almost like original flavored bubblegum.
The taste is no surprise given what the aroma would warn you is forth coming. It wrecks the palate with a taste of sweetness and a touch of bubblegum with faint, light bready grain. A touch of sulfur is evident as well. By this point I feel like I am just reiterating everything I described in the aroma but honestly this beer remarkably tastes the way it smells. It has a lasting lingering minor sweetness that hangs inside your mouth.
This is a light bodied brew with a moderate amount of carbonation. It is prickly on the tongue even though it hardly gives any visual signs of bubbly. There is no indication of the alcohol content in this brew which is awesome because I imagine a flavor of alcohol included here would have turned this experience into an absolute train wreck. All things considered, even under the most optimal conditions, I still would not want to drink this beer again. To be fair, it is an average adjunct lager. There are others out there for the style that are better.

Received as a gift in a box marked Beers of the World. Poured into standard beer pint glass.
A) Pours with light head that dissipates very quickly. Light golden yellow and very clear.
S) Malt and light citrus smell .
T) Sweet, malt and grain.
M) Medium light body and good carbonation. With a slight linger of sweetness
D) Average lager. I could drink one or two on a hot day on the beach. A lager is not first choice but it was a nice change of pace.

A: Poured from a bottle to a pilsner glass. Had a golden yellow color and a clear consistency. There was an inch of foamy, fairly long-lasting head. Very little lacing.
S: Not a particularly strong nose here, but some traces of malt and citrus.
T: Tasted of malt, lemon, a grassy quality and some grain. A not particularly interesting flavor that leaves an unpleasant aftertaste in your mouth.
M: An average amount of carbonation with a slick finish. Light-bodied.
D: Not an especially drinkable beer.

I poured this average beer into my tumbler at 45 degrees. The beer was a bubbly golden colored concoction that had no head after a minute. The beer was a bit sweet tasting for me. I think it was pretty refreshing. It might be really good on tap, but for me I will not buy again.

Appearance: Straw yellow, small head, and a little lacing.
Smell: Malty, skunky grains.
Taste: Malts, grains, slight barley, and a subtle honey.
Mouthfeel: Medium-light and a fair amount of carbonation.
Bottom line:
Not a bad lager. It is almost syrup like, but not thick. While not complex, it is full flavored with a slight bitterness.
