When compared to other Caribbean or South of the Border "vacation destination" style beers, Kalik stands alone. This is a well-made lager. Golden in color with medium bodied, herbal malt. Amply hopped with tea-like and citrus bitterness. A light taste of lime blends well with a bit of sweetness. The aroma is mild but quite pleasant. The very white head lasts long enough to admire. Surprisingly nice beer!
BTW – Kalik is one of the happy sounds heard in the festive “Junkanoo” parades/celebrations of the Bahamas. It’s best to enjoy a Junkanoo celebration with a Kalik beer in hand

A: Pours a crystal clear light to medium yellow in color with some golden yellow highlights and moderate amounts of visible carbonation. The beer has a two finger tall fizzy white head that reduces to a patchy thin film covering about three quarters of the surface of the beer with a slightly thicker ring at the edges of the glass. Light to moderate amounts of lacing are observed.

S: Moderate aromas of corn and grain adjunct malts with a light amount of sweetness.

T: Upfront this beer is all adjunct malt with moderate amounts of sweetness - I get quite a bit of corn with a slightly lesser amount of grain. Light hints of bitterness in the finish which fades fairly quickly.

M: Just shy of medium bodied with moderate amounts of carbonation.

O: This is one of the better American Adjunct Lagers that I have had from the Caribbean and would probably be really refreshing on a hot day by the beach (unfortunately it is cold and windy here today).
