The atmosphere is nice and relaxed. Everyone there is very friendly and helpful. It definitely is a great local spot to hit. I stop by everytime I am in the area.

The last reviewer mentioned the yaki wings and I must agree they are superb. Great wings. The food in general is very good.

The selection is a bit limited food and beer wise, but what they have is great. I look forward to them widening their brewing and food menu.

After a nice day skiing or enjoying the mountain air this is a must stop location. Relax have some wings and a couple pints (the Double Bag is my favorite).

This was one of the first breweries the wife and I stopped at on our on year road tripping around the US. The location is stellar, tucked in the beautiful VT rolling hills with greenery in every direction. The selection of beer included just about every distributed LT beer, but the quality is a bit lacking, only slightly above average for many of their brews. Service was great, these folks are super friendly. You can do a self guided tour of the brewery upstairs and be sure to place a pin on their map for your home town.

This was the third stop on our VT brewery tour. We arrived starving and in desperate need of a bathroom in the middle of a rain storm. We were soon put in a good mood. We ordered the sampler that had Blackbeary Wheat, Belgian White, Long Trail Ale, Pale Ale, IPA. I ordered the pulled pork. Everything was amazing. The service was a little slow but we pulled in right behind a big tour bus so we understood. The three of us fell in love with the Blackbeary Wheat and we ended up getting a 6 pack to go. This brewery is in a beautiful area and if you have time to drive up the moutain it is worth the visit.

A great brewery/ pub tucked into the Green Mountains of Vermont! Very laid back and friendly! A great place to spend an afternoon for lunch or an early dinner. It is the kind of place made to stop in after a day of skiing or leaf peeping! Or just to spend a lazy afternoon tasting a few of your favorite beverages!

Long Trail make some great beers and they have many of their selections on tap for your enjoyment.

They also have a decent pub menu to go along with their fine beer selections.

Very rustic but also very clean and family friendly. Definitely worth your time to stop in, if you are in the area.

I go to Vermont every year for vacation and my family and I finally took the hour and half drive to Long Trail. When I got there I was worried because it didn't look open, the parking lot was empty but a few motorcycles. When I walked in I was welcomed by the staff and asked if I needed help or a table. We took a self guided tour of the factory. At the time they were bottling their long trail ale. After we were finished checking that out we went down stairs where they had awesome fireplaces and huge deer heads on the walls, very Vermont! We went outside to their deck which is right on the river and ordered food and beers! The fish and chips were probably the best I've tried! The sample beers come out in a muffin pan which was very unique and a cool way to serve them. The prices were good not too much. Overall I really enjoyed myself and would take the trip for the food! We will be returning for a day at Long Trail!

Long Trail brewing almost seems very touristy on first looks. The place was packed on a saturday afternoon with a stiff wait to go with it.

Eating wasn’t happening, so I’ll more comment on the beer and service. The selection was very good when it came to their own beers. They offered up plenty of their year round beers to drink+buy along with being able to get some of their more special releases very easily too.

The service was great and fast. Everyone was extremely nice there and very friendly.

The only real downside was the lack of a real brewery tour. It’s just a open walk around which is nice, but it would’ve been better to have someone give us more info than just walking around.

I went to Long Trail BC in February 2011 and was somewhat disappointed. While the beer is probably the best marketed beer from VT, the tour was nonexistent, consisting only of a platform from which you could look down into the brewery. Other than the tour, it was a cool visitor's center, with a great selection of Long Trail ales and souvenirs and some pretty decent food. It was even pretty crowded. Word is that Long Trail was working on developing an actual tour program, although they may have been set back by an unfortunate hurricane this summer (2011).

They had a good deal of beer on tap, and typical American fare of slightly above mediocre quality. If you're on your way to a real brewery tour (try Harpoon, such 30 mins away) or trying to knock off all 21 Vermont breweries, then stop by. But if you're just looking for a good tour, this is a waste of time.

I visited this place on a trip to Vermont. It's kind of tucked away in the middle of nowhere.

Food is good and the beer was great. What I really like about this place is the atmosphere. It's kind of rustic. Two things I love. First, the wall of old antique beer cans. I love sitting in a place that's filled will antique crap.

Second, they have a catwalk that hovers over their entire operation. You can stand up there and stair at the fermenters or watch the bottling line run.

It's a fun place to eat and have some great beers. I had my kids with me that day, and they seemed more than willing to accommodate them too.

First stop of our unofficial 2011 new england beer tour. Stopped in for lunch after a drive through mid Vermont and a stop at Killington's gondola ride. Had to wait for 15 minutes for a table so we go to check out the interior as we were waiting for a seat on their great deck. Entrance from the parking lot is straight into a seating area that is split by the bar, with a gift stand opposite of the bar. Atmosphere was great for a mid afternoon saturday, nicely packed, good wait, everyone excited to try some brews. The bar is horseshoe shaped with a tap setup in the middle. All year round and selected brews for the season were available on draft. Once we were seated outside it was nice to experience their deck. One of the most unique setups for a brewery, as the deck has the location of their sourcewater well, in addition to being right along the creek. Most of the area is covered by umbrellas and a large tent, great for the summer months. We sat a high pub table, which was nice, but a seat right along the creek would have been great.

Quality was good, food was prepared pretty timely and decent, drinks were all served well, no off flavors from serving equipment.

Selection was good, all year round ales, plus the dipa, tripel and summer. My favorite was the tripel and summer wheat.

Food was decent, standard pub fare prepared well.

Value was great, the sampler was 6 for for 6 4 oz samples, and pints were 4ish, more for the brewmaster series.

Overall, a great start to a new england brew tour, from a brewery that does well in promotion; a great, unique location.

Cool German looking brewhaus. Sat at the bar to check out the bar, see the bottling line going, and look at the cool map. This really paid off as the bartender could tell I was interested in a few beers and he was free and open with the samples and they were nice sized. Described the beer very well and had good suggestions.

Beer was good to great, really enjoyed the DIPA and 3 Bag which are only available there I believe.

Food was good, standard pub fare done well. The prices were right for both beer and food and I will definitely be back when in the area.
