Brewed to celebrate 100 years of the oldest hiking trail in North America, the Long Trail. This ale features a slightly sweet malt flavor delicately balanced by the use of centennial hops. This bigger beer goes down smooth, please indulge with moderation.

Our Imperial Red Ale has the traditional characteristics of a red ale with the addition of an ample amount of hops and a higher grain bill that yields more sugars during the brewing process; resulting in a higher ABV.

Pours a fine copper color. Has a 2 fingers width of heavy white head with very sticky lacing on the glass.

Slight piney hops are the majority here on the nose. A very slight offering of a malty sweetness.

Lots of hops running about in the flavor. It's primarily piney/earthy hops, but a bit of floral and citrus hints in there too. A nice sweet malt backing rounds out the beer very well.

CLean finish, medium to heavy body, slightly sticky.

Very enjoyable beer. It's psuedo IPAish, but not overwhelming. Not too much alcohol, which would have totally killed it.

Nice deep red/copper color and light creamy head (nice retention). Smell a bit like strawberry sweetness with a hint of sour milk. Nice level of carbonation. Also, a nice mild bitterness from start to finish.

EDIT: Now that I am enjoying this and its warming up, I am getting some chocolate notes.
