Strong, strong citrus flavor and smell, orange and lemon, so I guess you have to like that sort of thing. Over the summer, I can enjoy such things. There's a earthy underlying smoke here as well. The appearance isn't great, a hazy pale yellow. It's one of the better beers I've had from Long Trail.

Served on tap in a pint glass

Appearance – Served a hazy light golden yellow color with an almost non-existent tiny white head.

Smell – The aroma is heaviest of a lemon citrus smell. This lemon is mixed with some yeasty and slightly floral smells as well.

Taste – The taste is upfront of light wheat. A lemon and orange flavor quickly follows the wheat. The taste of the these flavors create quite a crisp and refreshing flavor. As the taste advances more the lemon gets a bit stronger and some light yeast and floral flavors come to the tongue. At the end the lemon and wheat fade slightly with some more bitter hop flavors coming to the tongue, leaving a crisp and clean feeling on the tongue.

Mouthfeel – The body of the beer is quite light with the carbonation level being rather normal. Both are good for the lighter and fruitier flavors of the beer.

Overall – It is easy to drink and has a good flavor profile. A pretty decent session wit.

Hazy, straw colored beer fills the glass. Dense, foamy white head builds quickly then falls. Good lacing.

Floral coriander up front on the nose followed by a bit of tart citrus. Cracker like malt aroma underneath.

Light hop bitterness with the first sip followed with a bit of an orange citrus bite and then finally smoothed out with the coriander. The medium body is crisp but present. Leaves a bit of a soapy aftertaste.

Refreshing but a little heavy on the coriander.

A: Pours a light, hazy orange color with a relatively small, soapy white head. No lacing but does leave some small bubbles on top.

S: I get some orange on the top of the nose, followed by coriander, wheat and a hint of spice.

T: A lot of strong wheat flavor comes right at the top, followed by some grassy notes, orange, and coriander. A little bit of honey and spice on the aftertaste.

M: Crisp, earthy beer. Good carbonation, very light and drinkable.

O: This is a nice wheat beer. I assumed that it would be dominated by citrus or an orange peel, but that flavor is faint behind all the wheat. Good looking beer, but I wish it has a little more head, but hey, give me six of these any day!

A - Cloudy, golden color. Two to three finger light and fluffy head.
S - Lemons and cloves. Wild yeasty kind of smell, but appropriate for style.
T - Great mild wheat taste, with the hint of lemons. Has a great balance of flavors, and none are overpowering or competing. Nice that this beer is not overdoing it with any of the Belgian white characteristics.
M - The flavor coats your tongue nicely and the smell almost pops up to your nose. Good amount of carbonation. It does finish a little odd, almost sits at the back of throat a little too much.
O - Pleasantly surprising Belgian white that is great to drink on a hot day. Definitely has a unique taste within the style.

Appearance: Definitely blonde... nice carbonation.

Smell: Hints of lemon and other citrus. Very clean.

Taste: Quite refreshing. Very easy on the palate. I don't understand why there are so many moderate reviews. I don't mind putting down a few of these on hot summer day at all!

Mouthfeel: Enjoyable. Can sense the citrus notes as the brew leaves for the mouth for the phase completing it's original mission!

Overall: Excellent brew! One of the many good reasons for enjoying the summer.

Appearance: Hazy, yellow color with a thin cap of head that fades quickly to a ring.

Aroma: A mild spice aroma over lemon and phenolic notes. It kind of reminds me of the smell of someone getting a perm.

Taste: Pretty clean and thin on the front end, with some orange rind bitterness and a hint of banana. The finish is right behind, and is fairly fast and clean with some residual phenolic notes.

The Rest: This one is just Ok. Pretty thin even for a Belgian white with some off notes that really detract from the beer.

Poured into a Sam Adams White Ale glass.

Pours a cloudy pale yellow. Initially a nice sized one finger thick white head that settles to a lace sheen layer. No lace or head remains.

Brew smells of wheat and coriander, pale malts. Not much else. Average nose.

Brew is thinner than other wits I have had. Decent orange and spice, lacking on the yeasty thickness that you should expect. A easy mellow drinker that finishes uneventful. A thin feel really hurts. The flavors are a little flat as well; orange and almost a lemon zest at the end. Meh.

Not a go to brew for wits by any stretch. An OK brew, but not much going on with it. Good price point, who knows maybe I got a bad bottle. I suspect it is just average at best on its freshest date though. Average at best.

In a pint glass:

A: cloudy, light yellow colored body wth about a half finger of white foamy head that lasted about one minute. The lacing that was left was lightly foamy and had some unbroken rings that were uneven around the glass.

S: centered around the citrus and wheat. Some light spices were in the background and some coriander in the back.

T: citrus and the wheat, nicely blended. It had a tangy aftertaste.

M: medium with a fair amount of carbonation hitting the mouth.

O: this was a lot better than I thought it was going to be. I'm glad I got a six pack of this.

One of the best witbiers I've had.

Great on a summer day; A a fews step up from a Bluemoon, but not as heavy as a Franziskaner or other hefeweizens.

Clean wheat taste that lasts after you drink it and has a good smell as well.

I always choose it as a solid, moderately priced witbier and Long Trail is a great company as well.

Appearance: 12oz bottle poured into a pint glass. Colour is a pale, hazy orange-wheat. Head is half-finger in height and fades to a thin, wispy layer on top. Small amounts of visible carbonation.

Smell: Aromas of coriander, orange zest, wheat, and yeast are mild but blend together very nicely.

Taste: Acidic and bitter. This reminds me of something along the lines of mandarin-flavoured seltzer. All of the pleasant aromas crashed into one another and formed one confused and noisy flavour.

Mouthfeel: Light body, lots of carbonation, finishes a little sticky.

Overall: This brew leaves something to be desired. While everything about this beer is nice and light, the taste is just not pleasing. It is uninteresting and best left for those days where you need a beer to bring to a BBQ in the summer.

From a bottle into a standard drinking glass. Oh, the difficulties of being at the parents' house.

A: A very cloudy yellow/orange, like light orange juice. 1 finger head dissipates quickly, but lacing stays true throughout.

S: An easy wheat smell, but with definite oranges upon closer inspection. Very satisfying and easy going.

T: Lots of orange, slowly dissolving into lots of wheaty malt on the back.

M: Sits rather heavy, feels a little full, especially at the end. Very carbonated.

O: A solid 3.5; good, but there are better witbiers. I think the heaviness is what does it for me; it kind of gets stuck in my throat. Still, tasty and smells good. An overall pleasant experience. And the bear on the bottle is cute.

This one poured out as a cloudy looking yellow color with a thin fizzy white head on top. The smell of the beer gives off a light citrus aroma on the nose along with the malted wheat. The taste of the beer was fairly refreshing with some lemony orange flavors popping through with a grainy finish. The mouthfeel was watery and had a low carbonation. Overall this beer wasn't the best Wit out there.

A- Right off the start this beer seems overly carbonated with a pop at the opening and a huge head that slowly fades and leaves no lacing. Clearer and more yellow than I expect of the style as well.

S- Very strong lemon and orange citrus notes with a bit of offputting spice. Not awful but the spiciness seems a bit off for the style.

T- Very prickly from the high carbonation, light spiciness and heavy orange rind notes. It isn't particularly bad as far as taste, but combined with the thinness and carbonation its barely drinkable.

M- As already stated this is the aspect that completely kills this beer. The carbonation pricks the mouth and makes the already high citrus character and weird spice seem abrupt and unpleasant on the tongue. bleh.

D- It's not the worst beer out there but its not very good. There are so many better examples of the style, this doesn't even deserve a try.

Appearance - Pours a cloudy, light yellow color (almost looks like orange juice) with an inch and a half thick head that last about 2 minutes. I don't see foam like this very often.. it looks nice.

Smell - Citrus, lemon zest, wheat, and some spices. I'm pretty sure coriander is present.

Taste - The strongest flavor that stands out is the lemon zest, along with citrus.. There's definitely a few spices in there but I can only point out the coriander. Has a tangy aftertaste.

Mouthfeel - I like the zing it gives your tongue on contact. Has a medium to mild body with plenty of carbonation.

Overall - This is a really great beer. I would drink it on a regular basis if I didn't have acid reflux aha

A-Pours a cloudy, orangey-yellow color with a big fluffy white head. Decent looking brew.

S-Spice, lemon grass, herb comes to mind first. Subdued orange, lemon, and other citrus fruits. Very mild hops as well. I like this smell. Pretty complex.

T-Very citrusy (lemon is the most distinctive fruit that comes out). Really sweet, almost tastes like an alcohol infused sour patch kid. I like this a lot.

M-Really sweet, citrusy in the mouth. Nice and smooth going down.

O-Overall this is a solid offering from Long Trail. A real solid take on the style. A nice reminder of summer as fall slowly creeps in on us.

Enjoyed in a pint glass

A: pours a light straw color that is entirely hazy with a large number of carbonation bubbles and a solid two finger head that is beautifully white and is quite frothy in character, leaves little lacing
S: nice lemon zest and a slight bit of pepper and a nice bready wheat scent
T: nice gentle lemon in the beginning, disappears in the middle, and then slides back a bit more mellowed at the end, not entirely complex but it is absolutely refreshing, kind of reminiscent of lemon muerang pie
M: a bit strong on the carbonation in the beginning, leaves a nice refreshed taste on the palate
O: a great brew, especially during the summer on a very hot day, makes for a great lawnmower beer, nicely refreshing and enjoyable

A-Pours a very hazy pale yellow color. Smaller head that is bleach white and retains quite well. Laces decently well.

S-Light citrus. Coriander. has the Fruit Loop smell too. Light, sweet, and refreshing. I enjoy the conventional Witbier aroma. Therefore I enjoy the smell of this beer.

T-Very light flavor. A nice and easy Witbier. Flavor dies off quite quickly. Not intense or unique, but still mildly enjoyable.

M-Light body. Heaps of carbonation. A bit watery. Not much else besides the ample amounts of bubbles.

O/D-I have noticed that I enjoy this style more than I would have ever expected. This is a decent example of the style. Good for hot weather. Also nice because I got a case for $14. Not bad.

Pours a nice hazy light orange with a decent head which retains slightly. Smells subtly of citrus and orange. Medium to light bodied with some citrus sweetness but nothing to bold and a good deal of carbonation.

Honestly I thought this was a great summer wit beer that went down easy with a nice summer taste. I drank quite a few of these this summer and probably will drink more next summer. It also did a good job of standing out amongst the crowd of other wit beers by displaying a wide variety of citrus like flavors yet having none of them be too overpowering.

Poured from a freshly tapped 1/6th keg at the basement bar into a standard pint glass. Weyerbacher Verboten on the other side of the dual tap kegerator.

Appearance: A moderate 1/4" white frothy head that reduced to a thin white ring. Average lacing as my glass emptied. Nice cloudy yellow exhibition.

Smell: The aroma reminded me of a citrus perfume. I get orange peel and lemon grass in the nose.

Taste: Lemon citrus tartness, with a moderate sweet finish. Definitely different than a Blue Moon, which is much sweeter with a generous coriander bite. This beer lacked the coriander and spice I generally enjoy in a Witbier, but had a crisp summer finish.

Mouthfeel: Lively carbonation for the style, which was light to moderate in body.

Overall: A great light and refreshing summer session beer that certainly would quench your thirst. I could easily have a few of these in a sitting and would commit to another 1/6th keg next summer. Not the best Witbier, but a different take on the style. Very nice Long Trail...

A: Pale yellow and hazy. Very little head. No lacing.

S: Fruity sweet, mostly lemon and orange. Spicy coriander and floral hints.

T: Taste is sweet and fruity, mostly lemon. The sweet overpowers the wheat a little too much, not exactly what I was expecting. I like sweet though, so it still tastes pretty good.

O: Overall, this beer is pretty good tasting and goes down easy. Not the best example of the style, but it is decent and tasty.

Pale lightly cloudy yellow with a 2 finger white head that dissipates to a ring around the glass and a partial light film over the beer. Light lacing. Occasional huge bubbles of carbonation.

Somewhat earthy Belgian aroma reminiscent of a Saisson without the funkiness. Light citrus and noticably spicy. Every now and then, some toasted wheat.

Tangy wheat, tart citrus and bold coriander. Some light bitterness in the middle. Tasty.

Light bodied with a bit of stickiness. A sting of carbonation on the tongue, and a burn in the throat.

A great summer beer. Light, tasty, and very easy to drik.
