Notes:
Our Belgian White Ale is modeled after the original Belgian Witbiers brewed in monasteries during the early 14th century. The soft notes of citrus and spice are topped with a light, fluffy head that finishes clean and crisp. This fresh and natural ale is our summer seasonal brew, perfect for lounging lake-side or celebrating trail’s end…ENJOY!

Served on tap in a pint glass

Appearance – Served a hazy light golden yellow color with an almost non-existent tiny white head.

Smell – The aroma is heaviest of a lemon citrus smell. This lemon is mixed with some yeasty and slightly floral smells as well.

Taste – The taste is upfront of light wheat. A lemon and orange flavor quickly follows the wheat. The taste of the these flavors create quite a crisp and refreshing flavor. As the taste advances more the lemon gets a bit stronger and some light yeast and floral flavors come to the tongue. At the end the lemon and wheat fade slightly with some more bitter hop flavors coming to the tongue, leaving a crisp and clean feeling on the tongue.

Mouthfeel – The body of the beer is quite light with the carbonation level being rather normal. Both are good for the lighter and fruitier flavors of the beer.

Overall – It is easy to drink and has a good flavor profile. A pretty decent session wit.

Strong, strong citrus flavor and smell, orange and lemon, so I guess you have to like that sort of thing. Over the summer, I can enjoy such things. There's a earthy underlying smoke here as well. The appearance isn't great, a hazy pale yellow. It's one of the better beers I've had from Long Trail.
