Notes:
This brew combines 2-Row Pilsen malt, a hint of Crystal malt, and of course, plenty of malted wheat. A hint of blackberry at the finish makes this beer a real thirst quencher! For the health conscious, Blackbeary Wheat has less than 6 grams of carbs and only 110 calories per bottle!

When I first poured this beer into my glass I was a bit confused. The beer is crystal clear (filtered wheat beer booo!) and smelled just like any lager. The taste was just completely unremarkable. The blackberry flavor was barely discernible and the beer actually tasted more like a lager than any ale I've ever had. Another reviewer described it pretty well, it tastes like a lager with an off metallic taste in the end. Would highly recommend avoiding this one.

12 oz bottle poured into a shaker pint.
A - doesn't look very good. completely clear, extremely light body with a finger or two of poofy white head, basically no lace. looks like a BMC adjunct lager, honestly. wish this one had been left unfiltered.
S - blackberries, slightly metallic. that's about it. not too horrible.
T - blackberries, some (a little bit) of wheatiness, metallic twang. blackberry flavor starts off good and then abruptly begins to taste really artificial. nothing else in the body.
M - like a Corona, except without the skunk and with a really bright nasty metallic flavor. on the other hand, i could drink a case of this about as easily as water. too carbonated for me.

Picked up a six-pack of this in 12 oz. bottles, poured one bottle into a standard pint glass.
Appearance: Pours a golden yellow with a one finger head that quickly dissipates into almost nothing. There is no lacing to be found on the glass.
Smell: Smells like wheat and a bit of a metallic odor, it reminds me of Budweiser, with the only difference being an extremely light hint of blackberry on the finish.
Taste: Tastes pretty much like what it smells like, with the blackberry being a bit more noticeable. You can only taste the blackberry very faintly, however, and only as it goes down. The forefront is wheat, a bit of metallicness. Overall, pretty watery, but not anything horrible. Just average.
Mouthfeel: Very light and crisp, I could see how this would be refreshing on a hot summer day.
Overall: This is just an average beer, really. I would have it again, for sure though. It reminds me of an adjunct lager, but more crisp and better overall. However, it's nothing amazing either, but worth a shot.

I drank this straight from the bottle. Sorry. I didn't get much of an appearance due to my method of consumption. Soft blackberry aroma and a bit of wheat. Flavor was soft with less blackberry than the nose would suggest. Veeery easy drinking and refreshing. Will try again on a hot summer day.

Enjoyed in a pint glass
A: pours a very light hay color that is crystal clear with a finger of foamy white head that lingers nicely and leaves a small amount of lacing
S: nice blackberry scent and also slight floral notes, sweet and slightly tart
T: blackberry starts gentle but really hits in the middle, disappears quickly, really not much more to the taste here, just blackberries and also has a little bit of a taste like 7UP i guess
M: Intense on the carbonation at the beginning and really doesn't go away til the beginning, leaves a slightly funky taste on the palate
O: a sessionable fruit beer, not too sweet but nice, not all that great in any way but decent as it goes

A-Clear yellow, one finger head and not much lacing, any more of a pale yellow one would think it was an AAL
S-Wheat, some blackberry but it smells a little artificial, and even some skunyness as well.
T-Starts with some wheat and a little bit of blackberry, however like the nose the blackberry is slightly artificial.
M-Light, very light and not much carbonation.
O-A disappointing blackberry beer. I love Sam Adams, gave it a B+ and it is one of my highest rDev's, but this beer just way too light and artificial.

A - Very pale yellow with a slight white head.
Smell - Smells pretty much just like berries and wheat
Taste - Very light, the blackberry seems artificial.
Mouthfeel - watery, light carbonation
Overall, good lawnmower beer, but not my favorite in this style Sea Dog Blue Paw Wheat Ale
is a much better example.

Thin pale yellow with a pure white head that dissipates quickly leaving no lacing. Slight carbonation.
Very fruity in the nose, approaching the aroma of bubblegum. Maybe a hint of tartness.
Tartness is much more pronounced in the taste, the berries less so, Some light bitterness in the middle.
Light bodied, Crisp peppery feel.
A good, light summer brew. An easy drinker. You can really knock 'em back.

A: Poured from the bottle into a pint glass. Body is surprisingly clear (this is a wheat beer, after all), and pale, pale yellow in color - perhaps the lightest-colored body I've ever seen on a craft beer (and this from someone who's up to nearly 775 reviews at this point). Small whitish head is gone quickly, leaves behind no lace.
S: Fruit - berries. Without the power of suggestion I wouldn't be able to identify the berries as blackberries, however, but there are clearly berries evident in the nose. No wheat twang at all.
T: Again, fruitiness dominates. Something sweet too, perhaps honey-like? Finishes clean, at least - though I wouldn't call it crisp or dry - with a slightly sweet lingering aftertaste.
M: Light all around, carbonation is appropriate. OK for the style.
O: I'm not a big fan of the fruit-flavored wheat beers to begin with, but this one reminds me why: too much fruit, not enough beer.

A: Clear straw pour. Small fizzy head that dissipates fast. No lacing or retention to speak of.
S: Smells like a light wheat ale with a little bit of blackberry.
T: Taste follows the nose. It's a light sessionable wheat with a hint of tart blackberry. It's simple, unoffensive.
M: Very thin and light. Given the ABV this is not surprising. This is bud light, light.
O: Not much to really say. This is a session beer with a wheat base and a bit of blackberry. It delivers this role just fine. Very light, crisp and plain.

12 oz bottle poured into a pint glass
A: Light, crystal clear blonde with a scanty head that disappears quickly after the pour.
S: Tart blackberry, pale malt and a faint whiff of grassy hops.
T: Pale malt swirled with , you guessed it, a touch of blackberry. Berry flavor was a little weak. Finishes with a pleasant but mild touch of wheat.
M: Light with lots of carbonation.
O: Eh. There's nothing really remarkable about Blackbeary Wheat. Probably a good summer afternoon beer with its low ABV and light body, but there are better fruit/wheat beers out there.

Tasted on 7/19 at the brewery.
A - Pours a pale, clear yellow with a moderate white head. Kind of unattractive.
S - Smells pretty much just like berries and wheat
T - Clean and simple. Light and refreshing with just a hint of blackberry.
M - thin, with light carbonation
D - This is a session if I've ever seen one.
Ok, so there isn't too much to this beer, but I really do love it. It's totally simple and really tasty. It's awesome for a hot summer day. And it's low calorie...yay!

Poured into a standard pint glass: presents as clear straw with white head that dissipates quickly but leaves a bit of a lacing on the glass. As a wheat beer i think a bit more wheat type appearance would be appreciated, similar to their belgian white.
Smell is mainly a clean, mild blackberry with hints of pale and wheat malt scents.
Taste is very mild in both blackberry and wheat, malt flavors. I remember the taste of this beer very differently at the brewery, more umph from the wheat/malt and fruit.
MOuthfeell is pretty well balanced, the sweetness is cleaned up nicely by the mild bitterness.
Overall, I just remember this beer differently on tap, more defined and intense flavors. Its still nicely made, but just a little clean for my preference.

Poured a 3/4" white head. Clear straw yellow. Smell has the slightest hint of a fruit danish. Taste is actually much more subtle on the fruit than I expected, and in fact if I hadn't seen the label said blackberry I'm not sure I would have guessed that was the fruit. Taste has a slight edge on BMC mass-produced beers and the fruit addition is comparable to pretty much a blueberry beer. There's a mild bitter finish.

A- Extremely pale yellow, not much of a head to it, reminded me of an adjunct lager
S- Blackberry and caramel dominate, not much else to the nose.
T- A light blackberry flavor, very strong malt.
M- Crisp, light, a gentle bite.
O- Works as a simple session beer. Besides its blackberry note, it doesn't provide too much else tastewise. But if you like blackberry, like I do, it's simple and enjoyable.

A: pours a crystal clear yellow into an American shaker with a finger of white head that dissipates rather quickly and leaves a few bubbles on the glass.
S: you can smell a healthy does of blackberry with some light wheat and malt character.
T: the blackberry is right there but it taste a bit like an extract, but its not horrible. Wheat and white bread are there as is grassy notes.
MF: light body, clean, smooth, refreshing. A bit too light perhaps.
O: I could see my bmc friends drinking this in the summer and calling it "extravagant" and "exotic" but there is just not enough here for me. Too watery, extract blackberry/soda flavor, lacking in even a minor hop profile. Not a re-buy for me.

Basically a beery blackberry soda. Light and refreshing, tastes better than it smells but doesn't really bring the blackberry flavor out nearly enough for my taste. Fairly bland overall. Not much yeasty wheat character at all. Quenching picnic fare for a hot day, nothing all that interesting in the end though. Pretty average. Watery body, clean finish. As another reviewer said, not likely to appeal to the BA crowd very much. Just too boring!

A - Very clear hay yellow with a low almost whispy white
S - Some blue berries but not as much as you might think. More like the berries at the bottom of the barrel.
T - some slightly sweet sour berry aftertastes but more or less the main taste is just a generic APA or AAL. Overall neither fruity or distinctive
M - slightly fizzy slightly frothy. Not watery fortunately. Overall average
D - Mostly chose the beer to tick Vermont off my list of states I've tried beer from. I've had a few blackberry beers that I thought were good in the past. This sadly wasn't one of them.

Clear golden straw colored body with a moderate effervescent pure white head that faded all too quickly. Is this really even a wheat beer? Where is my cloudy body and big fluffy white head?
Plenty of blackberry on the aroma and light hints of honey. Fruitiness disguises any other aromas.
Taste is definitely not as fruity as expected which presents a problem. Normally I like my fruit/vegetable/pumpkin etc... beers to be well balanced with the fruit being just part of complex body of flavors but this one should use more fruit to coverup a rather bland malt profile. I'm enjoying the blackberry flavors that are present but there just isn't enough. Grainy and bland malt flavors and a lack of any traditional wheat beer flavors really make this a disappointment. As expected hops are making a no show and the yeast fails to produce much flavor as well.
Mouthfeel is crisp with a slightly dry finish and a light bodied feel. Overall, I expect better from Long Trail. I really enjoy most of their beers but Blackbeary Wheat clearly is not made to appeal to dedicated craft beer crowd (the geeks if that's the term you like). Could be so much better but it just isn't.

A- pours soft yellow with a quickly dissipating white head
S- Pretty weak aroma, you get average malt aroma with some blackberry and maybe a hint of citrus
T- pretty clean crisp taste with blackberry more noticable in the finish. Not alot going on in complexity here
M- pretty light bodied, definitely meant to be a session beer
O- Pretty average fruit beer. Honestly I was most impressed that the blackberry wasn't overwhelming. I didn't hate it, but I wouldn't seek it out

A - Pours a clear golden-yellow color with a thin finger of white head and lots of visible carbonation. The head fades quickly leaving no lace behind.
S - The aroma is full of blackberry sweetness. There is just a touch of wheat in the background, but the blackberry dominates.
T - Starts off with lots of sweet blackberry flavor, and a bit of tartness. Just a bit sugary. Through the middle, just a hint of wheat comes through, but again, the blackberry dominates. The finish is again full of blackberry with just a bit of tartness that lingers.
M - Light bodied with moderate carbonation. Very smooth, but also quite watery and thin. The finish is pretty empty with just a touch of tartness.
D - Very drinkable, though very empty. There is not much going on other than some blackberry flavor. There is almost no wheat that comes through, or any other flavor.

A: The beer is clear light yellow in color and has a moderate amount of visible carbonation. It poured with a finger high white head that quickly died down and eventually completely faded away.
S: There are moderately strong aromas of blackberries in the nose.
T: Like the smell, the taste is filled by flavors of blackberries, which seem a bit artificial and are slightly tart (and not sweet). There are some hints of wheat.
M: It feels very light-bodied on the palate and has a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: The beer is extremely easy to drink and makes for a good selection on a hot summer day.

A - Pours a very light gold. Thin white head.
S - Appealing natural berry aroma. Perhaps a light trace of bisquity malts and wheat.
T - Watery berry taste that is not as strong as the aroma would suggest. Wheat and malt make up the body. They presence of tartness gives off a hint of hop bitterness but I am fairly certain it is but an illusion.
M - Light, i.e. water. Strong carbonation that dies quickly.
O - Very light and boring beer. I suppose it would quench thirst on a hot summer's day.
