This brew combines 2-Row Pilsen malt, a hint of Crystal malt, and of course, plenty of malted wheat. A hint of blackberry at the finish makes this beer a real thirst quencher! For the health conscious, Blackbeary Wheat has less than 6 grams of carbs and only 110 calories per bottle!

This is a beer to drink when you're really hot and thirsty, and you don't really care what it tastes like. It's a clear yellow color with a small head. Aroma is minimal, some malt and wheat. It had a sweet, fruity taste, was also a little bit bread-like. Nothing very exciting, and not a particularly good example of a fruit beer.

The blacker the berry, the sweeter the noose.

Poured from 12oz can to weizen glass. Looks light gold with white head that falls to a cap. Very active carbonation in the glass. Smell is blackberry pie. Taste is blackberry pie too with cream. Feel is light, well-carbonated. Overall, nothing great, but tasty beer that's very drinkable.

Pours pale yellow with a 1" white head, which fades to a wisp. Light lacing.

Aroma is blackberry, citrus, that's it.

Taste is blackberry, caramel, citrus. Tart.

Light bodied, light carbonation. Tart finish.

Very fruity beer. A nice summer thirst quencher.

My cousin who attends college in Vermont brought back this beer when she was home for her Christmas vacation and gave some to me. Poured out of a 12 oz can into one of my pint glasses, this beer pours a mostly clear, just slightly cloudy/hazy medium golden colo with a nice white head that's about an inch thick when first poured. Head eventually settles to a nice film layer of big cluster swirls of foam on the beer's surface along with a medium sized ring lining the inside of the glass along with good lacing. Aromas of some bready malt and wheat and certainly blackbeery and not else, but that's okay. The aromas is striht tot eh point I suppose. Much like the flavor, with a crisp bready malt and shreat presence that vices way to a nice blackberry sweetness. This is all rounded out with an herbal hop note that adds just a slight bitterness. A simple, but very well constructed flavor profile that's pretty tasty for what this beer is trying, and succceeding, to be. Has a mainly crisp, also smooth. light to medium bodied motuhfeel with moderate carbonation. Has a clean finish and s nice sweet and wheary aftertaste that linger on my palate nicely after each sip. This is a crisp, light, refreshing beer that's exactly what it is suppossed to be.

A light summertime beer with (as the description says) a hint of blackberry flavor. It's not objectionable - not too sweet or artificial-tasting, which is about the best I can say. Meh.

Grew up with this beer in the summer time so I may be biased, but the smell of blackberry wheat just brings great memories, I get excited every time I see it on the shelf. This is a must try for any beer advocate member, it looks are not the best but it’s taste and smell are one of a kind.
