Served in a Chicago Bears shaker pint glass.
And thus shall the Kvass Kick begin. From my experience, the look is typical kvass: clear cola-like garnet-brown with pretty much no head to speak of, only a tiny, short-lived conglomeration of tan bubbles. The nose comprises pumpernickel, light cocoa, rye crust, and a hint of potting soil. The taste is similar to a Coke mixed with root beer, nutmeg, cocoa powder, and maple syrup. It's a strange, cola-bread-dark spice kinda flavoring. The body is a weak medium, with a mild carbonation and a light syrupy feel. Overall, nothing to write home about, but exceedingly drinkable and undeniably sessionable, though it may be a thoroughly acquired taste.
