A cloudy copper offering, thin white natural-looking head with decent stay. Very aromatic with fruity esters, grain, yeast, biscuit and floral in the nose.
Ultra-smooth, thin, light-bodied. Rindy melon (real mellow) flavours, and sweet, but not overpowering. Floral hops and more yeast in the finish.
A solid session beer. Its consistency is of water with flavour, making it dangerously easy to drink. Nice job on this cask ...

I had this on-tap in a big pint glass at the Beer Works in Logan airport.
Appearance: medium golden hue with a haze-free body and a light effervescence. Head is a thin layer of white foam.
Smell: malty with a slightly sour grainy character. Overall it's a bit muted; OK but not great.
Taste: quite sweet malt with a very light fruity character and just a hint of graininess. Hop presence is minimal but there's a little balancing bitterness at the end. Not too bad.
Mouthfeel: medium body with a light, prickly effervescence. Refreshing enough!
Overall: this is a straight middle of the road California common; maybe not a destination beer but it will do in a pinch.

On-tap at Beer Works Fenway
A: This one pours amber in color with a smallish off-white head.
S: Sweet malt in the form of toffee and bread to begin with. There's a bit of yeast and very faint hops. A few mild fruit esters and some straw and grass notes.
T: Bready malt along with some toast and toffee. Like the aroma, the hops are fairly mild, though there is a bit of grass and straw, maybe a few floral notes. Just a light bitterness to it.
M: Medium in both body and carbonation.
O: The more steam beers I try, the less I like them.

Wow...A East Coast intepretation of the California Common...High Expectations Here!
Wow...Disappointed! I am not sure if the brewmasters have ever tried a Steam Beer because they totally missed on this beer...
Nice golden amber color with no head whatsoever...I think the problem with the head derived from the fact that the beer was poured into a glass that was just washed and still had warm dish water on it...
Lots of carbonation here...That was a bad sign...Smelled alot of hop character also...Another bad sign...What are we brewing here? I tried it and then asked if I was poured an IPA or an ESB...Got a wierd look from the bartender...Extremely bitter and dry with no maltiness body with too much carbonation
Not a Steam Beer at all...Being that I have shared many Anchor Steam beers and brewed a common homebrew I was so upset at how far this beer really missed the mark...

On tap @ Beer Works Terminal C
Clear mahogany body, tight head with decent lacing-nothin' special but not bad.
Grassy hop texture with bitter malt-pretty tame
Malt comes forward with a sweeter taste than aroma-hops become a little more piney.
Nice mouthfeel - strong malt depth, backbone and finish.
Definitely sessionable but hopefully not here since it's an airport

Pours a fully hazed amber brown. Nice white head. Nose is slight hops anda touch of wood. Flavor is smooth with a slight wood tone and somewhat firm hops. Feel is a bit thin on the liquid aspect, but it starts off pretty silky. Heavily drinkable at first. My first sip turned out to be a few seconds long and became a long swig. But as time went on, it seemed to lose its luster and I had a hard time finishing it. I had to force the latter bit down.

Served a medium amber colored beer with modest off-white head.
Semll is so light as to be almost non-existant. Some very subtle tones of caramel can be found.
Taste is pleasant. Some rich caramel notes are present along with a litlle bitterness.
A nice easy drinking beer, would be a good session beer.

i think this is my favorite of the 4 i tried, though its score may not be the highest. it came to my table a tall 16 oz. dull copper color. the head was short but consistent. aromas fight a tough battle to free themselves from the slim head
prominent pilsner malt flavor, with a Euro hop flavor. more lively, fruity flavors come from the brewevidence of higher fermentation temps (actually, sometimes big wafts of fruitiness meet my tongue (and my nose))

sitting right @ the bar here, writing the review. about 100 ft. from home plate of Fenway. Anyway, this is on cask tonight. $4.50 a pint. Creamy head & mouthfeel. Amber color, little bit of hoppy smell and aftertaste. Set at room temp. but it's a bit hot for this tonight. Wish I could try other choices,

Appearance: clear dark amber in color with a one finger head. Light lacing developed. Carbonation levels were low.
Aroma: most disappointing as nothing was discernable by the nose.
Taste: caramel, mild fruit sweetness, and soft bitterness. Simple and straight forward but nothing overly exciting.
Mouthfeel: smooth throughout. Medium bodied. Very brief caramel aftertaste. Lightly refreshing.
Drinkability: easy to quaff and could be a session beer. Nothing to right home about, but this beer is one of those you drink and don't over-analyze it.

Poured an orange brown and was extremely hazy. Just a thin head which would form spotted lace around the glass. The nose was malts and lemon. The flavor was a bit disappointing. It was really sweet and I could not find the hops. The malts were very present and their sweetness was mellowed thanks to a nice woody background. The overall flavor of this beer is best described as iced tea. The mouthfeel was very watery. Shadowy body: At first is was pleasantly full, but it finished quite thin. The iced tea flavor detracted from the experience and did not leave me wanting a second beer.

Pours a clear amber, topped with a one finger off-white to tan head, leaves webs of lacing.
Fruity and creamy aroma, a touch of snappy lemons and citrus.
Butterscotch taste, tea, herb, lots of citrus and flowers. Malty with a good hop balance, almost like bread with some hops thrown in.
Medium bodied, to the light side, its a very good session beer, it's not hard to drink a few of these.
