This is a big place that sells wine/liquor/beer. In Tennessee, the "bigger" beers cannot be sold in a 'beer' store (supermarket, etc.), but they can be sold in Liquor stores. This establishment primarily sells wine and liquor, but they do have a small section of beer. I was able to find some Skullsplitter, Chimay, Westmalle, Aventinus, Traquair House, and a variety of Dogfish. This was more than I expected, so I was very pleased. The prices were GREAT. I was able to get the House Ale for about 5 bucks. The staff was very helpful as well, one of them even carried a box out for me. If you're in this area, definitely worth stopping in.

McScrooge is just down the road from Leaf and Ale. In fact it was recommended by the owner for the higher alcohol beers since in TN they must be sold in a liquor store.

I walked in not expecting much based upon other experiences in Nashville, but was pleasantly surprized. The selection was small just like everywhere else, but more varied than any of the other liquor stores I visited on the trip.

They had several Dogfish beers and Belgians that most other stores had overlooked. The store is clean and well laid out and the staff was helpful and knew something about the beer they carried. Well worth a visit if you happen to be in the area.
