Much better than it was the first time I had tried it. A nicely hopped IPA that defines the style beautifully.
Burnt orange in colour with a light to moderate head. Nice lace.
The aroma is that of orange with grassy undertones. the taste is strong of grapefruit, grass, and orange.
A very easy to drink beer that is almost session drinkable.

45 ibus. Dark creamy orange/amber with a nice creamy head of slightly-tinted off-white. Aromas are fresh floral and citrusy hops with a candied malt backbone. Taste is not as hoppy as one might expect, malty in the middle with a unique honey, and buttered biscuit taste to it. The finish is where the hops shine in their bitter, drying glory. Mouthfeel is creamy and spot on. Drinkability is again, very good. Another solid and impressive brew from this "all 4's" brewpub in Rochester.

I got this lighter than normal IPA--in a 4 oz portion--as part of the Four City Sampler; it poured a rather light copper color; fairly cloudy too. The aroma was a tad nutty, with some hops evident, though not dominating. The taste revealed the nuttiness only at the outset, then it blended into a more traditional IPA citrus taste with a slightly yeasty finish--lots going on here. The mouthfeel was on the thin side, but the carbonation seemed appropriate. Worth a try if you get to Rochester.

Had a preview. Think they are still experimenting. More convention IPA and a bit watered down version of the Magnum 44 Double IPA. I think this detracts rather than adds. They want to bottle but bottle your supermodel not your more acceptable. Appearance somewhat murky as yet unfiltered and may stay that way. Aroma there and may improve.
