Poured from a bottle into a pint glass.

A - Not really impressive. Looks like extremely low carbonation. I even show the last half inch in the bottle to make sure it was carbonated. After that there was a 1/4 inch caramel head. Other than that it's normal for what one expects a stout to look like. I found myself sometimes shaking the glass a bit to see if there was still carbonation there ...

S - Oh, nice. The sweetness comes straight out followed by a bit of a cream feel (sounds weird I know). I also get a bit of a chocolate milk vibe from it.

T - Very slight coffee, strong chocolate and a soda like finish. After a few sips it starts to muddle a bit.

M - It's a bit light but that is to be expected.

O - Overall it's a nice milk stout. I wouldn't recommend this for a first time milk stout drinker but I will have it again for sure.

Dark brown, almost black with a very small tan head, that does stick around despite it's small size. Leaves some nice lacing.

Sweet milk chocolate, a little bit of roast, and even some alcohol. Not super complex, but tasty smelling for the most part.

The flavor is right in line with the smell, with everything coming in around the same order. Plenty of sweet chocolate, some nice roasty malts, and very little bitterness. I'm not really getting the alcohol I was getting from the nose, thankfully. This is a pretty tasty one.

Super creamy and smooth as it should be, with a moderately heavy feel and very little carbonation. I think maybe a tad more of a bite would be good, but not bad.

I thought this one was pretty decent overall. Not my favorite of the style, but very drinkable, tasty, and I'd totally have this one again.

I bought a six pack of this when visiting Estes Park, CO. I had it cold, but not too cold.

A: Poured a nice, dark brown, almost black. Nice head but not too big.
S: Slight coffee, very pleasant.
T: Smooth and sweet. Tastes very similar to Left Hand Milk Stout but maybe slightly sweeter.
M: Very pleasant. Full.
O: Very nice beer. Very smooth and tasty. Perhaps slightly too sweet.

A 355ml bottle with a BB of June 2012, so it's well out of date. Picked up a while back from Trembling Madness in York. Aside from cursing the distributor, what can I do? Hope it hasn't deteriorated...

Poured into a tulip pint glass. A dark reddish-brown hue that appears black in the glass. Some sediment upon pouring. Produces a huge head of creamy light-brown foam with decent retention; it slowly reduces to a thick surface layer. Aroma of rich roasted malt with notes of burnt grain, coffee, chocolate, molasses, brown sugar and mild earthy yeast. A subtle sweetness in the background. Nice.

Tastes of roasted malt with a restrained bitter finish. Notes of burnt grain, coffee, chocolate, molasses, brown sugar, mild lactose, a hint of earthy yeast and faint stewed hops. Slightly sweet, yet dry with a touch of cardboard. A subtle bitterness upon swallowing. Mouthfeel is smooth and tingly, with well-judged carbonation but a rather thin body for the style. Slightly astringent, followed by an aftertaste of bitter roasted malt and faint lactose.

Tasty - a decent milk stout that goes down a treat. Looks the part, with a superb aroma of roasted malt and a good flavour that possesses a delicate sweetness. The body could use improvement; thicker and more velvety is the way to go. Overall though, a nice brew that hits the spot. I'd have one again - worth sampling if you come across it.

12oz bottle poured into a nonic pint.

S - Sweet milk chocolate, layers of caramel, complex dark chocolate.

A - Dark brown but not quite opaque. Small tan head from a vigorous pour. Holds a small cap of foam. Left little lacing.

T - Picked up on the sweetness right away but is just the right amount. Has a nice graininess along with some caramel and smooth chocolate. Has some bitterness late with a mild roasted character. Little fruity near the end.

M - Medium body, light to medium-light carbonation, sweet.

O - Really nice sweet stout. Usually a style I stay away from but this one was big on flavor and kept the sweetness modest. Very drinkable and not too much body. Carbonation was spot on. Great example of the style.
