Just the other day, I was in the liqour store, (Woodman's in Green Bay, WI) and I was in the mood for something different. I didn't have a lot of money for beer, so I was looking for both quantity and price. As I was eyeing the various products, I saw this one, it stuck out like a sore thumb. A poop brown bottle, with a little label on it, saying REGIA extra. Then I saw the price, and I knew I had to pick it up. Seeing that I am an advertious individual, meaning I try numerous beers often, I was intrigued by this one, because I have never heard of it. I couldn't wait to dive into this one. At first taste, I was like "WOW, this is actually pretty tasty." And the rest went down smooth. Everything about it was pleasant, from the smell to the drinkability. So if you have never had this one, dive right in and you will be pleased with this beer. CHEERS!

Look It pour straw, almost pale straw with a white head. Head retention is good.
Smell: There is a bit of grainy sweetness with grass in the aroma. There is also a touch of honey.
Taste: It has some grainy sweetness with flavors of corn and a touch of honey. There is a bit of vinous like flavor at the end of the finish.
Feel: It has a medium light body and is smooth.
Overall, it is better than a lot of other pale lagers out there.

Clear yellow appearance with a large white head and decent lacing. Muted, grassy aroma with a distinct corny, vegetal edge. A little sweet at first but the taste soon turns thin and cardboard-like. Light bodied, well carbonated mouthfeel with a short lived finish.

Bright pale gold, ample foam, spotty lace here and there. Aroma is clean, mostly white bread and some minerality. Taste is a bit bland, apple juice and crackers soaked in well water. A very light bitterness or astringency present. Thin and light bodied, thankfully pretty supple and not overly carbonated. Basic and utilitarian, but that's the style. I'm not getting any flaws like DMS. Overall it's not a bad option to wash down some food with, what better than Salvadorean pupusas with curtido.

Clear straw, nice white head, good retention, spotty lace
Sweet corn aroma, a little bit of earthy hops
Sweet corn, that's about it
Light, good carbonation
Not as bad as I thought it would be

Simple but great beer, walked into a liquor store and wanted something new. I saw this beer grabbed it and took it home. I recommend it for those hot summer days, put it in the freezer and you’ll get the best taste out of it. Simple great taste and will get you a good buzz after two. I like how they make it 32oz to make you feel good early after a long work day. Thank You El Salvador!

First time seeing anything from El Salvador. From a 1 quart bottle. Pours a pale golden color with fluffy white head. Sweet grain smell. Medium feel with soft carbonation. Sweet corn flavors with a crisp finish. An unremarkable AAL, really too sweet for my liking.

I guess Central Market in Austin, TX just started carrying this since I'd never seen it there before. A 32oz brown glass bottle with a pry-off cap ran me all of $3.29. Okay, El Salavador, let's have a go at it...
"Smooth lager beer."
HEAD: ~9cm in height. White. Slightly frothy. A bit thin and weak, but it hangs around a good ~8+ minutes, which is impressive. Sticky coating lines the glass as it recedes.
BODY: Clear yellow-copper. Weak looking; lacks vibrance.
Appears well-carbonated. Not unique or special in appearance.
AROMA: Dry starchy pilsner malt. 6-row barley. Maybe a bit overattenuated judging by its scintilla of cardboard.
Generally appealing. I don't detect overt adjunct. Has no hoppy or yeasty notes.
Suggests a neutral drinkable lager free of off-flavours.
TASTE: Pale malt syrup. 6-row. A hint of corn/maize. No off-flavours.
Neutral and insipid. There's nothing to really balance; this just flatlines with cheap malts and adjunct.
TEXTURE: Too syrupy and thick. Well-carbonated. Smooth. Wet. Slightly refreshing. Overcarbonated.
OVERALL: I've had cheap swill the world round, and this ain't no different than its compatriots. I can't knock the price and I'm glad it's locally available, but El Salvador's La Constancia will fail to dazzle those Americans buying this as an import. Many would sooner buy Trader Joe's' Simpler Times.
Pairs well with day old Dominos and subpar career prospects.

World's Best Pizza in Escondido (which had the best El Salvadorean food) had this lager that i always had with my pizza. Found it years later in an Ideal Market in Gretna LA. Great micheladas with this one! Tastier than other American lagers and good price for 32 oz.

Big bottle poured into a pint glass
Pours a very light and clear pale straw color with no head or lacing, good amount of carbonation, looks really light. Hint of sweet corn and grain along with lots of lemongrass and hay, light touch of honey, smells drier as compared to other adjunct lagers. Hay, lemon peel, honey, light touch of spice, finish has lots of grainy, sweet corn flavors along with a touch of honey sweetness, the corn and grain are the dominant notes in this beer. Finish is very dry with a crisp, clean, smooth finish, very easy to drink.
Overall, a very dry lager, lots of hay, corn, and grain, probably wouldn't reach for this again as I just wanted to taste it.

Poured from the quart bottle into an English pub glass
Light straw color, clear as day, fizzy head which dissipates quickly
Smell is very sweet, it is an adjunct lager but the corn does not stand out right away
Taste is crisp, refreshing, although watery but has a pleasant corn aftertaste
It goes down real smooth but because it's still an AAL it's hard to drink the whole thing on its own, I need some pupusas with this one!
