Awesome beer store right in my backyard. Well, actually in the city next to me, but hands-down the best place on the East Side of Cleveland. Warehouse Beverage and Whole Foods are nice too, but Chuck's takes the cake for their quality, charm, selection, and awesome service.
As others have noted, you'll need to ask to see the back cooler if you're looking for the good stuff. I remember my first trip and being blown away that they had some things you don't normally find in this state. Mike, the Swami of Suds, is knowledgeable and really just a great guy. He's even reserved stuff for me and special ordered. He rocks!
Brands like Founders, Alesmith, Ithaca, Cantillon, Fantome, Dark Horse, the list goes on and on. If it's available in Ohio (and sometimes even if it's not) they have it.
Chuck's can be a dollar more than some other stores for a $15-ish 750ml, but I love the place, the people, it's creeky floors, and, of course, the back cooler.
Cheers to great beers from one of the best stores I've ever been to!

This place is great. I just recently moved to Ohio from the DC area and I am always looking for a great store to supply my addiction to good beer. I found this place here and based on other reviews, I had to check it out. As you walk in the first thing you notice is that this is a really old building, possibly a house at one point? Great atmosphere, I was greeted immedietly after walking through the door. As soon as i mentioned BA the whole staff got excited. The main room you enter is mostly wine but has some beer. After walking through this room you move to the left into a beer haven. It's a little tight in area's but no real beer fanatic would ever complain about being squeezed in between tight isles of great beer. There are a lot of hard to find beers in supply here. Most of these are in low quantities but they have them. After talking to one associate i was offered a tour of the beer "Vault" as he refered to it. He took me into the cooler and showed me the selection of beer in there. The back wall of the cooler is full of nice 6-pack, 750's and really hard to find singles. I left with a great selection of the following; (2) 2003 Aventinus still in the white wrappers with purple lettering, a 12oz. Mephistopheles stout from Avery, a Stone 07' Vertical Epic, Stone Imperial Russian Stout, Unibrou Chambly Noire, AleSmith Speedway Stout, and a 6-pack of Paulaner Salvator. The best part of the visit is that when I asked if they had Unibrou Quelque Chose they offered to order a case and hold a couple for me. This is a hard to find Cherry beer. My wife loves this as it is not a typical beer and tastes like drinking warm cherry pie. This is so important because most beer stores make you deal with what they have. I would recomend this place to anyone. There was also a couple of people there for the wine and cheese selection. I don't care for either but they supposedly have a great selection of these also. I have to finish the review with talking about the staff and how great they are. This is my new favorite store, period.

I've always been a fan of this place, the only problem is there are so many great places that are closer to me. I'm not saying this is a far drive for me, maybe I just don't utilize this place like I should. Great location in a fun little town. Creeky wooden floors. Smells like cheese or whatever's baking. Service is top-notch. They definitely know and appreciate craft beer, and are extremely friendly. They will do their best to make the customer happy. They have a very nice selection, it's almost typical. But there's a special backroom w/ some goodies that take this place to another level. The pricing is reasonable, maybe a dollar extra here and there.
Great store, great people. Definitely one of the better stores in Northeast Ohio. If you're in or from the area, this is a must!

Located in a beautiful area of Chagrin Falls. Very friendly staff with a great knowlege of beer. You can head into the back into the cooler and take a peak at things that may not be out on the shelves. Prices are what you would expect. Very good selection. Have been able to find a few gems every now and then. One of the few locations in Ohio where I was able to find Terrapin Brewing beers. My wife and I make an evening of it, by heading to Chucks, then enjoying dinner at one of Chagrins cozy little spots.

A great find on the east side of Cleveland, in a pretty little town called Chagrin Falls (lots of rich people here, kind of reflects, the style and prices at the local stores). They carried anything I could think of looking for at the time. Lots of glassware, as well as Belgian, and domestic micros as well. Picked up: Two Hearted, Stone 7th Anniversary, Great Lakes Anniversary, Buckeye76(!), Delirium Tremens, and a nice Duvel Tulip in one stop. Great selection and they carry your stuff out to your car for ya. Lots of wine too (for those who care).

All Hail Chuck's Fine Wines!
Located in the cozy and scenic little town of Chagrin Falls.
As Chuck's namesake implies wine is the name of their game but to my surprise their beer stock was quite impressive. American brewers such as Rogue,Stone,Victory,Bell's,Founder's, and quite a few California brewers such as AleSmith and Anderson Valley to name a few. Imports from all over the world are also well represented. They also have a separate shelf for single bottle purchases. Chuck's offers plenty of glassware along with free coasters. Beer tastings seem to occur twice a month from many quality brewers. Service is top notch as everyone knows their beers and they are accommodating to your every need.
If in the Greater Cleveland area Chuck's is a must stop for those in need of a breath of fresh air and top notch brews!

Chuck's is the home of fine drink. As with the town, Chuck's is a great old 19th century building that is warmly lit, and the creaks in the floor are free. Shelves & stacks of wine (2500+ bottles) and beer (400+) that occupy the 2000sq/ft floor keep the eyes dancing.
Mike, the Swami of Suds, without-a-doubt knows his stuff. He loves to talk beer, down to how to pair it with food. Everything you need, that is available to Ohio, can be got here. What ever they don't have can be ordered and received within days, at no obligation.
The staff know their trade, and they walk your purchase to your car even if it's little more than a sixer.
Plus they have books, glasses, coasters - enough swag to swing a stick at. They also keep a nice selection of cheese and food stuffs.
It's a place not to be missed. In short, it's a place for a guy to go to feel like a kid again.
Plus, they usually have monthly beer tastings @ only $5 a pop.

Forget Rosi's, this is the best beer store in the Cleveland area. The selection is excellent, the knowledge is excellent, and Chagrin Falls is a really attractive place. The only place in Cleveland I was able to find Rogue Imperial Pils, and they also make runs out west to get hard-to-find beers. Recommended!
They have regular visits by local breweries, tastings, and other cool gatherings. I travel to this store every chance I get (I live about 20 minutes away). If you live in the Cleveland area or are visiting, and have never been to this store it is a must see.

This is a must go if you are in the Chagrin Falls area. Let me restate that, it is a must go if you are anywhere within 100 miles of Chagrin Falls. The store has a great selection of imports and micros. My favorite micros include Bells, Founders, and Great Divide. Just moved here from Colorado and have found micros from Oskar Blues, Ska, ODells, and Avery.
The "beer guy" Mike is also very knowledgeable and a conversation with this guy is a must. He will introduce you to beers that are spectacular, many of which I had not heard of before. One of the best places I have found since I have moved to Cleveland 3 months ago.

After reading about Chuck's on here decided to make the drive down to check it out. I have never been to Chagrin Falls and have to say it is a really nice area. Bring the wife (or husband) and send them off shopping while you visit Chuck's. Atmosphere is really nice in the store, staff is friendly and helpful. Was a little disappointed with the selection of singles. Expected a bit more than what they had. Prices on a singles are a bit marked up compared to other shops. Imports are the draw for Chuck's, unfortunately I didn't get to check out the vault and will have to do that on another visit.
