This is the place to go if you're looking for an off-the-wall beer. They stock tons of beers from tons of countries and it is where I go when I see a beer on this site that I's like to try. The shelves are full of beers divided by country, then subdivided by style. The pirce per bottle, price per 4/6/12-pack, and price per case are all listed and, yes, if you only want one bottle of something, just grab it out of a case and you can buy it.
The only bad thing about this store is sometimes you'll see a beer that isn't in high demand sitting on the shelf, and you know it has been there for much too long. So be careful not to get something skunky if you are looking for a rare one.

Stopped into this place when I was in Batavia on business. First time to New York, and this place definitely softened the initial blow of the cold, gray snow.
When I found out I was going to Batavia, I looked this place up on BA.com, and am glad I found out that there is a market in the town for decent beer. I stopped in looking for brews I can't get in Atlanta and walked out with some Stone IPA, Smoked Porter, Arrogant Bastard, Weyerbacher Insanity, and Southern Tier Oatmeal Imperial Stout. The selection was pretty good considering the small town setting. I spotted some Smuttynose, a large Saranac selection, and a good amount of local brew growlers. Belgian & German beer selection was pretty average. Nothing really jumped out at me.
They did have an entire section devoted to home-brewing, which I thought was pretty cool.
The place was clean and well-ordered. Selection was geared more toward beer opposed to wine/liquor. Service was almost non-existent. They were almost surprised when I walked in. Decent prices & value. If I were ever in this town again (God forbid), I would definitely stop in to sneak some more brews back to Atlanta.

Angotti is apparently connectd to Beers of the World. It is sometimes easier in travelling the shortcut trough the 63 to New York and New Jersey to pass by here, and get gas across the street. One problem is neither will let you use their bathroom, which makes choosing beer a bit of a strain. It is a clean store devoted primarily to beer, with a lower selection than Beers of the World but still a very good one. Singles bottles of everything allowed, yes! Belgium is OK, US micros well above average selection. Glasses and steins selection excellent.

Angotti is the brother store of beers of the world. They have an excellent selection of beers from all over the world including many hard to find beers that you might not find anywhere else. There is a lot of thought to the set up. Like Beers of the World, it is arranged by country, so you will find what you're looking for pretty easily. I left with a sixer of Rogue Mocha Porter and some Lake Placid UBU. I'm going to stop here every time I go to the res. The best stop between Rochester and Buffalo.
