Pale golden yellow body, resembling straw with a thin, feather white head that leaves only traces of lacing.

Aroma is quite bitter and bordering skunky, certainly some hops that are straw like or grassy.

The flavor is similar, again quite bitter and funky with more hop character.

Medium to light in body with medium carbonation and a bit of a bitter bite to the otherwise crisp finish.

This is an ok example of the style, perhaps lacking some of the malt backbone to counter the bitterness.

330ml Bottle from The Cave, Glasgow (£1):
Clear, pale straw colour with a foamy, quite thin white head on top that holds pretty well.

Corn and lager malt aroma that has a touch of grassy hops and a skunky bitterness to follow this up. There was some grain too and a very small hint of sweetness but other than that there wasn't a whole lot going on really.

Bland with some corn and cheap malts. There is some grain and a hint of sweetness with some grassy hops that makes it come out a lot like the nose but other than that there isn't anything to say about this one. Not offensive just bland and basic.

Light, smooth and clean taste. The beer is pretty bland with some touches of sweetness and as a result of this the beer is quite easy to drink. There is some bitterness in the crisp, dry finish.

As expected to be honest, a basic and cheap lager that isn't quite as bad as some of the mass produced ones I've tried over the years. It's not great but it is by no means the worst and it was pretty easy to drink. Definitely not one worth picking up but not quite drain pour either thankfully.

Had this a few times in Canada but decided to pick up a 750mL since it was cheap. From notes.

A - Poured very light golden straw with good carbonation, a two finger white head that was gone fast, and bright. Weak lace was left with a film of retention.

S - Grain, corn, sugar.

T - Sugar, grain, plain and inoffensive, yet not overly tasty.

M - Good carbonation, light to medium body, sweet then slightly dry in the finish.

O/D - Pretty clean and strandard for a macro lager. Lacks the corny grossness that alot carry with them. Cheap and inoffensive.

A small white head quickly dies leaving barely a lacing at all above a clear golden colored beer.

This beer has a big sour lemony citrus aroma.

Sour citrus taste mostly lemons with a touch of graininess.

A very light aftertaste with some lemony tones.

This beer seems to remind me of a lesser quality Budweiser.

Steinlager Classic has a thin, white head and a clear, bubbly, golden appearance. Lacing is almost nonexistent. The aroma has an initial skunk whiff upon pouring the beer, but this goes right away. What one encounters is a sweet, lightly-toasted barley malt, a nice hop bitterness, and some cracker. Mouthfeel is light to medium, and Steinlager finishes crisp and refreshing. Drinkability is astronomical. Overall, this is quite nice.
