Presentation: 22 oz slender brown bottle with a manufactured date on the back label.
Appearance: Clear pale yellow with a thin broken lace that barley sticks to the glass at all.
Smell: Dry hay and cooked veggie in the aroma, other than that it is quite clean.
Taste: Light bodied and thin with a semi-forceful carbonation. One sided malt flavour with a graininess that lingers far, mild cooked cereal grain flavour within. Even yet prickly hop bitterness though there is no hop flavour. Hint of smokiness ands an interesting twist to the clean palate. Dry and grainy in the finish.
Notes: A decent pale lager that does a good job of cleansing the mouth for the next sip beer or bite of food.

650 ml (1 pint 6 fl oz) bottle, with manufacted date reading 04/2011 batch no. 3468, so this brew is about two years old. Been hitting the India imported American adjunct lagers at my local beer store lately, and I quite enjoyed the Taj Mahal Premium Lager by the same brewery, so I figured I would give this one a shot. An American pale lager, at a moderate 4.70% abv, no need to drag this out any longer, so on with it.
Poured into a Firestone Walker pint glass.
A - Semi-aggressive pour yields two fingers of eggshell white bubbly head on top of the typical clear apple juice urine colored body. No lacing.
S - Some sour tart apple champagne like presence in the nose. Has cider qualities to it. Some bready yeast. Honey.
T - Very sweet, clean taste. Honey sweetness. Apple. Carbonated, medium bodied feel. A drinkable tasty beer for being what it is: a four dollar bottle of imported beer from India.
M - Smooth, light, and sweet mouth feel. Clean, and somewhat carbonated.
Overall, a highly drinkable beer. I think I might prefer the Taj Mahal Premium Lager just a bit more, but both beers would be nice to try if you ever manage to spot a bottle. Beats the hell out of the awful adjunct swill Bud Light and Coors Light being made in America, and if beers like Flying Horse Royal Lager Beer were more widely available, I would probably be drinking them more often.
Flying Horse Royal Lager Beer ---3/5.

Somewhere between a German pilsner and an American light adjunct lager, this beer was light and easy drinking with German bittering hops, a nice strain of lager yeast, and corn being the predominant flavors. The color and nose were nothing special, inoffensive at best, boring at worst. Mouthfeel was what you would expect; heavy carbonation and thin without being watery. Not a bad beer by any means and much better than Taj Mahal brand lager, but not something would willingly drink again, as pedestrian light lagers aren't my thing.

This pours what is worthy of calling a “piss yellow” color with a carbonated head that disappears quickly. Pour this in a glass and hand it to someone, they might think its tainted water. The aroma is cheap, full of cheap grains with that classic adjunct scent. Wow this light taste rivals that “beer” called Miller 64. Really light and taste less other than cheap corn syrup. You really can skip over this one!

Each time that I go to get a haircut, I like to stop in at Country Garden 6-Pack if for no other reason than to see what is available. I am rarely disappointed and certainly not when I come away with a massive bottle of Indian lager for a song. I visited Bombay in 1987 and I still have nightmares about the crushing effects of disease and poverty that I encountered there. Let's hope that this beer will not be nightmarish.
I got a finger of fizzy, bone-white head with low retention from my pour. Nose was grainy and malty and I began to wonder if its classification as an AAL was correct. Color was a light-yellow with NE-quality clarity. Mouthfeel was medium and the taste was honey-like, the hallmark of real unadulterated lager. The CANQuest (TM) has caused me to come in contact with far too many AALs not to be able to tell the difference. Finish was semi-dry and quite refreshing. I was very glad that I decided to give this one a whirl. That, and the price was well worthwhile.
