Always a nice selection at Bottle Barn. A little off the beaten path in my opinion but once you find it it's worth to cruise around for pretty much any kind of alcohol. I always go for the beer of course and they always have something I haven't tried and even seen before because I now recognize all the beer in the shops I frequent. I am happy to find that they are now allowing you break apart select 6 packs or 4 packs so I was able to get a single of Ten-Fidy, Adam and Ruth from Hair of the Dog for 2 to 5 bucks. Being that I have never had any HOTD I was pretty excited. They have a nice selection that I always go back to cruise and they have a nice glassware section and if you're interested in the wine check it out since that is about 75% of the store and I'm guessing sales too.

Disappointing given the high reviews. This place is large, but the beer selection is just a small part of the overall stock, and the selection is far from spectacular. Apart from a few cool finds - like Deschutes Jubel and Abyss - the selection is just about what you'd expect from a well-stocked West Coast bottle shop, including Moylans, Alaska, Alesmith and a few others. Hardly a trace of the East Coast can be found, however, and the imports are limited. The wine selection looks pretty good, though the liquor selection is not overwhelming. This doesn't seem to be worth a trip out of the way. Prices, however, seemed quite reasonable.

What an amazing find!
Damnation for 3.99 when it's typically 5.99 in Seattle?
Insane!
That's just one example. Great finds. Stacks of Abyss, 30th Anniversary SN long gone from NW shelves.
And the prices much less than what I usually find at home.
Forget the bottle deposit. No problem.
Seek out Zack. Very conversant and very helpful.
I had a great time at the Bottle Barn when not at RRBC drinking PtY.
This is a warehouse type setting that is easy to miss so look for the sign on the front and East side corner.
Row upon row of beers and if you're into wine? Definitely give them a look. Their prices on the fruit of the vine are exemplary also.

Walked in here trying to find Sanctification but they had not gotten their allotment yet - no worries, I was able to browse their other stuff.

A very nice and clean store with more than just beer. They have singles available which is great, and had some nice selection of beers (tons of Abyss, Mirror Mirror, Jubel, RR, etc.). While there was nothing insanely rare, the prices here were just fantastic. For the new North Old Stock Cellar Reserve (Aged In Bourbon Barrels) were $19.99, while The Abyss was $10.50. Freaking insane. They also had some nice cheap glassware, and I got two Delirium Tremens glasses with the pink elephans on them for $2.99 each.

Overall, I would go back here if I was in Santa Rosa. Nice store.

A huge warehouse essentially with stacks upon stacks of beer, liquor and wine. While I didn't really explore anything else besides the beer selection, whet they had was phenomenal. A fantastic selection of local California brews along with a good selection from the Pacific NW. In fact, I found pretty much everything I needed from the area in this one store, so I didn't have to travel around to any others. Service was pretty good, I didn't have anyone ask me if I needed anything, but it was a rather large store and I saw other customers being helped out nicely. If I'm ever in the area again this will definitely be on my go to list. Another nice thing is that they are located somewhat out of the way so you don't have to fight any traffic once you are there.

Bottle Barn is Mecca for beer lovers in the North Bay Area. This place regularly carries around 200 different beers, of which half are non-domestic. The staff are super cool, mostly young folks, and some are quite knowledgeable. They take suggestions seriously, and will do their best to remember who you are if you shop there regularly. For example, I suggested that they get the Haandbrygeriet Dark Force, and a couple months later they saw me and said "hey, didn't you ask about that Dark Force beer, we got it in for you, but we only got two cases so we haven't shelved it yet." They also are loaded with wine (probably 40 or so racks devoted to it - at least 1/2 the store) and carry a huge selection of whiskies, vodkas, gins, etc. Only place to go if you are trying to find new and eclectic stuff.

I've been to Bottle Barn twice now in the past month as I've driven through Santa Rosa, and both times I've walked out with boxes of beer and a lighter wallet.

Their huge store is made up primarily of wine and hard liquor, but they have a fairly decent craft and import beer section. Compared to other shops such as, say, Bevmo or Total Wine, Bottle Barn has a competitive selection with a handful of beers I have not seen anywhere else. The staff is exceptionally helpful and more than willing to pull stuff out of their "back room" if you ask for it. They still had Parabola weeks after the release, had a handful of caged and corked Russian Rivers bottles, and had all of the latest current Deschutes specialty brews (although they are now out of Black Butte XXI).

They have a very large number of Belgium, trappist etc. beers along one aisle, a fair amount of 6 packs, 4 packs and singles of craft and import lying around, and 3 or 4 refrigerators full of more cold craft singles. They also carry a few glasses and a good selection of ciders.

The thing I like most about Bottle Barn is that they are very reasonably priced. They are like $4 cheaper than my local Co-op (which has a great beer selection), about $2 cheaper than Bevmo, and around a buck cheaper than Total Wine in Roseville. Gas will even out the prices if you make a specific trip to the store, but if you're passing through HWY 101, or going to Santa Rosa for Russian River, definitely stop by this place a check it out. Even the most experienced beer drinker will find something he or she has to buy!

I stopped by Bottle Barn on a trip to Santa Rosa to try Pliny the Younger at Russian River Brewing.

Located in more of an warehouse district than a downtown setting, Bottle Barn is a very good sized warehouse style store, with a great selection of every type of liquor. The beer selection was also excellent. About half the beer is on shelves, the other half is kept in fridges (which they have a lot of).

They carry lots of harder to find beers, including all kinds of Rogue, Stone, Russian River, Deschutes, The Bruery, Alesmith, and others that I don't remember (I waited too long to write this review). An excellent selection. I only wished I knew to ask for their "back room" beers, per other BA reviews. The prices were very reasonable too.

A surprising find. Definitely a must stop if you're in or near Santa Rosa!

Quality- Have never bought a beer here I thought was poorly taken care of. Seeing past date hoppy Stone beers prompts the 4.

Service- Zach the beer guy is always a pleasure. If you know a specific beer you are looking for and ask, there is a chance he has some stashed he will retrieve it from the back for you.

Selection- The selection is pretty good, but lacks somewhat relative to Bay Area stores. Again, the secret vintage stuff is what keeps me returning.

Value- Here is where Bottle Barn excels. Beers here tend to be $1-$5 cheaper than everywhere else. Awesome.

Got this tip from a friend, thanks James.

We came here after the Pliny the Younger release, an boy were we hammered. I don't remember a lot of it, but I do remember picking up some great vintage bottles.

The guy that helped us out gave us some great vintages of Abyss and Consecration among bottles of Black Butte XX and Beatification. He asked us where we had came from and we told him, thats when he started showing us the craziness. The whole place is a gigantic warehouse where beer takes a good percentage of it. I bought a good amount of beer and was happy when I walked out. I think this place is better than Pizza Ports bottle shop or Holiday Wine in San Diego. This place had friendly staff and great beer. Highly recommended!
