What an amazing find!
Damnation for 3.99 when it's typically 5.99 in Seattle?
That's just one example. Great finds. Stacks of Abyss, 30th Anniversary SN long gone from NW shelves.
And the prices much less than what I usually find at home.
Forget the bottle deposit. No problem.
Seek out Zack. Very conversant and very helpful.
I had a great time at the Bottle Barn when not at RRBC drinking PtY.
This is a warehouse type setting that is easy to miss so look for the sign on the front and East side corner.
Row upon row of beers and if you're into wine? Definitely give them a look. Their prices on the fruit of the vine are exemplary also.

Overall, this place is great and it has an extensive beer selection. Of all the beer stores I've physically been to (admittedly only in California), this has the largest and most consistently diverse selection of any store I've ever been to.
They have everything from the likes of really cheap malt liquor or Coors Light up to pricey and unusual beers from Belgium, the UK, Germany, etc., or limited offerings from Stone, Russian River, etc.
They have a fairly extensive area of several shelves devoted exclusively to Belgian-style beers with a few French and others filling in the gap. The Belgian section is about as good, overall, as any I've seen elsewhere although perhaps slightly behind City Beer and Plumpjack (both in San Francisco) in terms of rarer Belgians. Compared to Beverages and More, it's about the same but with slightly different inventory, lacking some of the more common ones but with other less common ones not available at BevMo.
It has a very good selection of German beers, one of the most varied and extensive I've seen. It includes all the standards (Beck's Warsteiner, Dinkel Acker), as well as less common ones like Lammsbrau, Augustiner, Schonramer, Meckatzer, etc.
The British selection is not large but overall is one of the best around. It has most of the standard stuff, but less than places like Beverages & More, yet carries a constantly rotating selection of rarer and unusual UK beers that are otherwise almost impossible to find and rarely even seen at the best beer stores in San Francisco, such as Wells Bombardier, Bateman's XXXB, Harviestoun, Traquair House, Blacksheep Ale & Riggwelter, Nethergate Old Growler, Marston's Pedigree, etc.. In addition, it carries some beers of Samuel Smith, Young's, Fuller's, etc.
They have a large selection of Eastern European beers, including a lot of Polish strong lagers, although these fluctuate a bit.
They have a very large slection of US Micros, one of the best I have seen anywhere for sheer number and variety. It includes a lot of West Coast stuff, especially from California, from Stone in the south to Weed/Shasta in the north, plus a few East Coast beers like Geary's which are otherwise almost impossible to find here. It's the best place around to find the available local beers like Russian River, North Coast, Bear Republic.
They also have a very large selection of all kinds of beer glassware - shakers, tulips, nonics, kolsch glasses, mugs, etc. - and many brand-specific ones.
It has an extensive supply of macro beers, too, of all sorts: Rainier Ale, Pabst, Old Milwaukee, Hamm's, Budweiser American Ale, the full Michelob range, etc.

I stopped by Bottle Barn on a trip to Santa Rosa to try Pliny the Younger at Russian River Brewing.
Located in more of an warehouse district than a downtown setting, Bottle Barn is a very good sized warehouse style store, with a great selection of every type of liquor. The beer selection was also excellent. About half the beer is on shelves, the other half is kept in fridges (which they have a lot of).
They carry lots of harder to find beers, including all kinds of Rogue, Stone, Russian River, Deschutes, The Bruery, Alesmith, and others that I don't remember (I waited too long to write this review). An excellent selection. I only wished I knew to ask for their "back room" beers, per other BA reviews. The prices were very reasonable too.
A surprising find. Definitely a must stop if you're in or near Santa Rosa!

Awesome. Had heard it was good, but did not realize it was going to be amazing..
After standing and drooling at the far cooler, picked up quite a few various Stone special releases Eleven, IRS, Epic, Avery Barleywine and Litigation/Collaboration, various other goodies and some 2 days in the bottle Pliny and Blind Pig!!! Also grabbed some Hair of the Dog items as well. Almost missed these as they were on a middle shelf mixed with other alcohol
Really decent prices considering the selection of special release goods. Will definitely visit Again!

Another great place to visit in Santa Rosa, I'm beginning to love that area! The beer guy at this store is pretty knowledgeable and keeps this place stocked with a fantastic selection. They had plenty of great Belgians and German beers. All the local beers made an appearance with some things from Bear Republic and Russian River that I can't get down south. Had some tiny Drakes barrel aged beers that are super expensive, and I've never seen before. Definitely some exciting stuff in here. Make a stop!

Stopped in on a whim while my wife was sleeping in and recovering from our previous nights visit to Russian River. This is an excellent place to visit to stock up on Russian River and other NoCal beers - some of which are only available in Sonoma County. They had a couple of cases of Abyss and Supplication was $10.99 compared to $13.99 at Russian River. The beer guy working there was a lot of help. He even went to the back and got some beers for me that were not on the shelf. They sell boxes to ship wine but when FedEx asks, tell them IT IS NOT WINE.

I heard of Bottle barn through beer fly and a waiter. Being from Chicago it was my goal to purchase as much Russian River and Deschutes as I possibly could. Upon entering it was half wine and half beer. Most of the beer was in coolers. They had a pretty impressive collection of Belgians, I even saw Cantillion. Bust as I said I was on a mission for Russian River and Deschutes. As I was walking around I got my Pliney and only saw 2 bottles of Mirror Mirror which I picked up. I then saw an employee wearing a Bear Republic shirt and asked if they had any Deschutes. This is my fun began. He said he had Black Bute and the Abyss in the back (I totally pick those up). They guy was very helpful. All in all great place if you are in the Santa Rosa Area.

Got this tip from a friend, thanks James.
We came here after the Pliny the Younger release, an boy were we hammered. I don't remember a lot of it, but I do remember picking up some great vintage bottles.
The guy that helped us out gave us some great vintages of Abyss and Consecration among bottles of Black Butte XX and Beatification. He asked us where we had came from and we told him, thats when he started showing us the craziness. The whole place is a gigantic warehouse where beer takes a good percentage of it. I bought a good amount of beer and was happy when I walked out. I think this place is better than Pizza Ports bottle shop or Holiday Wine in San Diego. This place had friendly staff and great beer. Highly recommended!

Bottle Barn is the least expensive bottle shop I have ever been to. They constantly have Russian River options on the shelves as well as a very good selection of other local and imports. The prices here are awesome! They have PTE and other RR beers for less than you would pay at the brewery. The only downfall to this place and that is that they do not allow you to break up 6 packs and the beer guy is usually busy, if he is even on the floor. Aside from that however, this place is a must visit for anyone in the North Bay.
