Birreria Pedavena "Pedavena Classica Pils"
33 cl green glass bottle coded "Da consumarsi preferibilimente entro fine: 08.20 20 P L106911". Sampled on 1 December 2019.
Notes: "Ingrediente: acqua, malto d'orzo, granturco, luppolo.". Seeing as how this is made with corn it's no surprise that it comes off as a basic Euro-Pils. It's clear, golden, and has a short head of white foam that drops fairly readily and leaves little behind in the way of lacing. It doesn't smell like an adjunct beer, but neither does it smell like Pilsner malt. There's just a smear of hops to the aroma. It has an almost "generic beer" aroma. The flavor follows but at least it's balanced by a stiff bitterness that keeps it from becoming sweet. It finishes mainly dry with just a flicker of the slightly grassy but otherwise non-distinct hops that run through it. Medium to medium-light in body and crisp with a standard carbonation level. There are worse Euro-Pils out there, but not by a whole lot.

Pours clear, light yellow in color with one inch head. Taste is pilsner malt and grass. Light bodied, sweet with high carbonation. Makes for a slightly above average pils. Not bad, but have had better this trip.

Simple Italian Beer, littlebit better than Peroni and MOretti, but still very bad taste.

Probably a good session beer on a hot summer evening but I had this on a chilly blustery day outside in Verina, Italy. Same yellow color with a white frothy head and a little lacing. A pilsner nose with light grass. The mouthfeel is crisp and almost dry. Malty taste with notes of hop that makes things grassy. Some light sweetness was also present. This one is pretty decent if you like light pilsners.

660ml green glass (ugh...) bottle poured into Westvleteren goblet in Rome, Italy. Reviewed live.
A: Pours a half finger head devoid of cream, quite thin and boring, and of abysmal retention. Clear yellow colour.
Sm: Cream and barley. A light scent. Boring.
T: Simple build of just stale barley and stale cream. Pretty damn bad. Hardly balanced and poorly built. Some malt creeps in on the climax to make it even worse. Thankfully it's not watery or alcohol-strong.
Mf: Too smooth and wet. Classic fallacy. Doesn't feel at all tailored to the flavours of the body.
Dr: Average ABV, pretty bad drinkability even for the style, and a decent price. Poor quality.

Pale yellow beer with very thin head that disappears quickly.
Moderate carbonation and a light taste, with a slight bitter aroma.
Mainly a summer beer, it's very drinkable and it pairs very well with pizza, pasta or a "cheese and cold cuts" dish.

On tap at Pub Italia in Ottawa, ON- Pale sparkling straw pour with a frothy and long lived white cap. Nose of biscuit malts, grains, bread crust, some lemon. tastes of some saaz, lemon, biscuit, pale malts, floral hops. Pretty sharp and clean. A well made pils to quaff on hot days.

From a 50 cl bottle, this brew is a yellow, fizzy beer. It's a bit sweet, with a faint grain aroma. Not much to the beer, really...there's a small white head that fades quickly. The body is very light ans airy. It has a slightly jagged bitterness to the taste, which comes out in the mid-taste, as well as a slight metallic quality. It's akin to a below-average macro. Simple and uninspiring lager.

Bottle in a fantastic little Italian cafe (Glass & Thompson) in Edinburgh -- the only beer they had.
Poured a pale, fizzy gold colour with a small head that didn't stick around and not much lacing. Aroma is a little bit fruity with some mild yeast undertones. Flavour is quite sweet and fruity with some sharp, lawn-clippings-like hops backing it up. High carbonation, mild tart fruit aftertaste.
Very refreshing after a long walk around hilly New Town and Stockbridge. Went great with lunch platters of fresh tomatoes, olives, bocconcini, and crusty bread.

Looking ok in the tallish glass at the outside wood fired pizza ristorante ,I was not disappointed, mainly because I had no great expectations.
Nthing really distinguishable other than swetness overlying malts with an after thought of bitterness.
European mediocrity.

slender green 330ml bottle. best before 3/06. just in time for this one. not much info on what type of beer it is other than "qualita premium" below the brewery name on the label.
pours very light yellow, almost straw color. white head which settles to a thickish lace. light carbonation showing tiny bubbles making their way to the surface.
decent enough aroma. light, grassy, with just a hint of sweeter malts.
ehh. nothing special about the taste, but nothing foul either. comes off a bit sweet which counteracts the light bitterness.
overall pretty standard, but my expectations were low anyway. good to see beer from the mother country available so far south.

Didn't really taste like a pilsener to me, tasted more main stream Italian style. Sweet malty at the start, them crisp and grassy towards the end, a bit rougher around the edges than say something like the Messina i had before it or Nastro Azzuro. Just another boring Italian lager.

This German-style Classica Pils pours a shiny gold with a snow-white medium-sized head and some trailing and sticky lace.
An herbal grassy malt aroma mixes with a mildly spicy hop smell.
The smooth-light malt body has a biscuity quality and a mild herbal taste.
The hops are citrusy with a little Euro-metallic tang.
Some citrus peel astringent taste is noticed in the back of the throat. It finishes clean with a light taste of limes. Nice easy brew for the hot summer days or after some strenuous activity.
