From the 12 fl. oz. bottle marked 335091935T2. Sampled on August 6, 2010. It has a nice enough looking golden color with a headless pour. There are some malts in the initial whiff of aroma but otherwise I smell more sugar and corn. Te body tends to be about medium with a taste that remionds me of sweetened malts and a dash of hops. It goes down fast though.

Sean Penn must half downed a liter or twenty of these bad boys while he was getting filled with Baron Samedi in the HAITI. Let's pop a cap before the tonton macoute arrive... .
-Appearance 3.0: Weird. Poured out a straw yellow color that slowly (and strangely) became a deep golden color. Small head dissolved into pleasing swirls all over the top.
-Smell 3.5: Very nice bouquet. I smell barley and hops and...lots of adjuncts. Still, this is miles away from your typical Macro beer.
-Taste 3.5: Front is slightly sweet with a nice corny hint. Middle is where the malt seeps in and is moderated by a wonderfully smooth adjunct that I am guessing is rice. Finish is all adjuncts, but I do (finally!) detect a hop note in it. Aftertaste is (again) all adjuncts, but is not harsh at all.
-Mouthfeel 3.0: Typical CO2 carboed mouthfeel.
-Overall 3.0: Fell just short of hitting the "3.5" category, but nonetheless, this is NOT a bad beer. Very light and refreshing and in the hellishly hot climate of Haiti, I imagine these would be like finding a bar of gold. Recommended for hot temps or those attempting to remember the hot temps. A good beer from a county that is not known for its beer!

Prestige by Brasserie Nationale d'Haiti is not very good. I don't know what to say. It's like Miller Lite but without the industrial attention to detail.
A: No head. Yellow colour. 2
S: Chlorine. Nothing much else. 2
T: Watery. Some light pils malt. Not bad, but not much there. 3
M: Flattish. 2
O: 2.5.

Prestige has a thin, white head and a clear, somewhat bubbly, straw appearance. The aroma is of faint, yet sharp hops and sweet malt. Taste is bold- sweet barley malt, grains, sugar, alcohol, and a fairly strong hop bitterness across the middle and back of the sip. Mouthfeel is light to medium, and Prestige finishes pretty crisp and refreshing. Overall, it's a good beer that improves as one drinks it down. Try it!

I picked up a bottle as part of a mystery 6-pack and did not know what to think - the beers included range from about $0.50 to $4.00 per bottle.
A- Prestige pours a crystal clear "cheap lager" yellow with some lacy head, maybe a half inch. Not very promising, but nothing to scoff at without tasting.
S- No real points won on the smell here, weak lager with malts hiding behind corn, a bit of a vanilla note as it warms.
T- Surprisingly, this beer tastes pretty good. It's somewhere between a very "basic" american lager like bud or coors and a "typical import" like heineken. The corn is still present, but it's sufficiently bitter and complex, not to mention extremely refreshing (more so than the bud-coors set). Lime on the finish, with even more astringent bitterness on the aftertaste, calming down to the corn again.
M- Really ideal for summer drinking or eating rich foods (I paired mine with meaty pizza). Extremely crisp and pleasant, delightful carbonation, and for its sweetness, it's absolutely not syrupy or sticky.
O- The "World Beer Cup 2000 Winner" on the label made me admittedly very nervous, as in 2000 I was in my middle school science-honor society because I maintained a 90% test average - no longer the first thing I tell potential employers. However, I thoroughly enjoyed this beer and would choose it every time over most of the domestic and "import" offering at local bars. Sufficiently complex to understand why they haven't changed their labeling: they have something to be proud of here!
Would absolutely buy again for a session beer, but not sufficiently interesting for a serious beer aficionado to jive on all night.

Appearance: Pours an extremely clear pale yellow with a 1/2 finger white crown that displays little retention.
Smell: Corn sweetness, pale malt, a faint hint of herbal hops (minor grassy note)
Mouthfeel: Fairly standard crisp mouthfeel found with a light side of medium bodied and well carbonated beer of this style.
Overall: Easy to drink to the point of being flavorless, in the same category as bud/miller/coors, etc...

A: The beer is crystal clear very light yellow in color and poured with a half-finger high bright white head that quickly died down but consistently left a thin layer of bubbles covering the surface.
S: There are moderately strong sweet aromas of adjunct malts in the nose.
T: The taste is very similar to the smell and has a light amount of initial sweetness along notes of corn and grain. There is some skunkiness in the aftertaste.
M: It feels light-bodied on the palate and has a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: This might be a good beer for a hot day in the tropics but there’s nothing special about this beer to make me want to try another.

A: Pours a crystal clear pale yellow in color with extremely light amounts of visible carbonation. The beer has a finger tall foamy bright white head that reduces to a thick layer over the entire surface of the beer. Light lacing is observed.
S: Lots of aromas of adjunct malts - especially with corn and grain presence - along with some sweetness and light hints of skunkiness.
T: The taste follows the smell though the sweetness is lighter than the smell would indicate. The taste is full of the adjunct malts with a more grainy presence. There is also some light amounts of skunkiness in the finish of this beer.
M: Light bodied with moderate to high amounts of carbonation. Slightly thin.
O: Pretty drinkable and refreshing though the skunkiness is surprising and not something I really wanted to discover.

Aroma is crisp and malty with a fruity undertone, nothing special but at least it smells like beer. It pours a clear, wan straw yellow with a thick white head that quickly dissipates. Flavor is - well, malty, slightly fruity, just a touch of hops. Texture, though, is nice - firm body and plenty of fizz. Nothing worth tweeting all of your friends, but worthy of a try. Besides, the folks in Haiti can always use a boost.

From 01/07/12 notes. Thanks to GT on RB for sharing this one. Poured into a tulip.
a - Pours a transparent pale yellow color with one inch of white head and moderate carbonation evident.
s - Smells of corn, grains, vegetables, skunked, wheat, and bread. Lightly sour, and not very enjoyable.
t - Tastes of sweet corn, vegetables, grains, and sour, skunked notes. Worse than the nose, not good at all.
m - Light body and low to moderate carbonation. Watery feel to it.
o - Overall a pretty bad beer; worse than American made AAL's. Would not suggest seeking out until you're trying to tick Haiti.
