Poured into a pint glass. Was not expecting to like this one, but been wanting to try it for a while since it's so readily available around here in Nashville. This beer really surpassed my expectations. My go-to grocery store IPA (when I can't get all the way to the liquor store) has been Sweetwater IPA, but this might be my new go-to! Good, not overpowering bitterness, very hop-forward, nicely balanced grapefruit and honey finish. To me it's a little more well-rounded than Sweetwater. Color is a little darker amber than many beers I like, so I was expecting it to be a little skunky -- but it's not at all. Always nice to be surprised by an inexpensive IPA. I hope Yazoo sticks with this recipe, and maybe decides to put the ABV info on the packaging next time around.

12 oz. bottle stamped [73 2. 3.] served in a lager glass. Pours clear orange-amber. Moderate sized, very creamy and durable head leaves plenty of lacing clinging to the glass.
Aroma: relatively appealing, hop-dominated, but with a clear note of baked bread showing from the malts.
Flavor: like the aroma, plenty of hops here along with a solid malt base. Moderately bitter at the peak, which appears in the aftertaste. Complex hop-induced flavors.
Feel: medium body; fairly soft, medium carbonation; a touch sharp.
O: a fine IPA worth seeking out.
