I have liked most of the Clipper City / Heavy Seas brews. I avoided this one, for some reason until now.
A – Golden and bubbly, with a 1 inch head that quickly subsides.
S – Clean, with a faint breadiness and a very light spicy hop.
T – Initially very crisp and nice. True enough homage to the Pilsner style, but imperially supercharged. The alcohol becomes quite present as it warms up, and it begins to have a buttery, caramel-ish malt flavor. The hop is more dank than spicy in taste, and is fairly high in the taste profile.
M – Very nice level of carbonation and a soft texture to boot.
D – Overall, quite drinkable because of the style’s versatility. A beer for all seasons.

Pours an amber gold with a two finger frothy white head, good retention and moderate lacing.
Aroma of sweet bread , light malts and hints of citrus.
Taste of grain and malt with a slight honey sweetness, hints of citrus and floral hops.
Mouth Feel was medium body with moderate carbonation, smooth with a little crispness and refreshing. The alcohol is very well masked.
Overall this is a very enjoyable solid pils, a great picnic or ball game beer.

Pours a golden amber in color with 2-3 fingers of creamy tan head. Good retention and lacing. Unfiltered with a lot of sediment but does clear when settled.
Smells of sweet creamed corn, caramel, pepper, and lemon zest.
Taste is bitter up front followed by corn, biscuit, bread, toffe and dirty earth tones.
Mouthfeel is thick and creamy, rather heavy with minimal carbonation.
Overall a solid and unique beer but nothing I'd actively seek out.

12oz bottle into pilsner glass.
A: very clear. very bright golden body. head is pretty bright white. frothy. good retention. minimal lacing.
S: very malty. not getting much hop aroma here. cant tell if there is a hint of metallic flavor or not. a rich pilsner focused malt aroma seems to be bulk of the aroma.
T: sort of metallic. minerally. lots of grain. really malty, a little corny. bitterness is plenty. cant tell if the mineral flavor is European hop derived or more metallic.
M: moderate amount of carb. medium body.
D: cant decide about this one. definitely a rich lager but I cant tell if there is a metallic off-flavor or some light dms going on here. might need some refining in the brewing process to clean this up, but has a good starting point.

Delicious! A tasty and very drinkable pilsner with an almost buttery aftertaste. Crisp mouthfeel. I would call it the perfect after work beer if I wasn't shocked to find out it's 7% ABV! I would never have guessed - you don't taste it in the slightest. Impressive. Will definitely drink again.

Appearance: Clear golden to amber in color and a head about one inch high.
Aroma: Floral hop with light citrus notes. Little bit bready, and a touch of caramel malts.
Taste: Buttery texture, crisp mouthfeel, citrus but mostly floral hop with a light dryness. Sweetness from caramel malts with a twinge of biscuity notes.
Notes: Solidly drinkable and can be enjoyed anytime of year. Cheers.
