Brewed exclusively for the 20th anniversary of Stockholm beer bar Oliver Twist.
The colour is yellow; the liquid clear. The finger thick off-white head sinks slowly leaving some lacing.
The smell got notes of grass and some clean bitterness. It is very German indeed.
The taste is bitter, the bitterness is sharp and metallic. Earthy hints, and some hay. Quite a lot of fresh grass, too. Medium body. The aftertaste is dry and dominated by a metallic bitter flavour, hints of wort. The finish is very long with sharp bitterness, it is almost a bit harsh with a touch of white wine.
The carbonation is strong, the large bubbles are fresh. The liquid is light.
I am not convinced: Nils Oscar are capable of doing way better pilseners than this.
