Poured out of a bottle, gift from Brent at The House of Brews. Thanks Brent! Poured into my tulip.

A – Almost perfect clarity on the pour. See through all the way with an almost light apple cider like color. Crisp white head that stayed around as a small cap.

S – Very light floral and grassy herbal scent with a mild grain mixed in.

T – Like the nose this has a very smooth grainy taste to start out with a light fruit qualities. Has some apple and white grape flavors. Herbal hops and touch of bittering mixes in. Has a bit of a funk to it but finishes with a spicy and sweet mix.

M – Light bodied and extremely crisp on the palate. Tingly and bubbly.

O – Pleasant surprise here. I was not expecting much but this beer has a nice light and crisp taste that is extremely refreshing. You can drink this all day long and would make an ass kicking brew on a hot summer day. Bring it on.

Best before 2/13/14.

Pours a clear gold with a foamy bone head that settles to wisps of film on top of the beer. Small dots of lace form around the glass on the drink down. Smell is of malt, grain, corn, and grassy aromas. There is a bit of a skunk smell as it is being poured but none once it is settled in the glass. Taste is much the same with grain and slight grassy flavors on the finish. There is a mild amount of hop bitterness on the palate with each sip. This beer has a good level of carbonation with a crisp mouthfeel. Overall, this is an above average beer that is drinkable but nothing all that special in my opinion.

Crystal clear bright golden 2 finger bright white clingy head. Clean grainy nose.

Flavor wise a little bland, I wanted to like this because I like palm but it's a little boring. Definitely better than a Stella though. Sweet malty grains, medium bodied with a slight creaminess, faint hop bitterness tries to balance fruity sweetness. Carbonation is lower than expected. It is an extremely clean drinking beer so I always enjoy nice clean flavors. But otherwise pretty lackluster. Better then stella still.

Draft, Toronado. Served in a branded glass. Looks kinda like a gueze glass. Pours a bright, golden shade of yellow. Perfectly clear. Medium head which seems pretty good for a cold pour to the brim. Very white. Very fine bubbles. Good lacing. Aroma is a bit light on hops but there's a fresh, pleasant grain character. It's sweet and a bit doughy. The hops provide a little lemon and grass in the background. The taste starts sweet with pale malt. A bit more of that doughy, bready flavor. Nice lager yeasty note in the middle. Picks up some apple flavor which I don't love. That apple cider flavor lasts into the finish which could use a touch more hops. What's there is lemony. Mouthfeel is light but somewhat creamy. Gentle effervescence. Good pils but not fantastic.

Poured into the tall Stella Artois glass, it makes a nice piled-up head and plenty of bubbles. But I think I'd rather have a stella.

This has that slightly musty taste that seems to be the downside of light Belgian beers. The dry mouthfeel minus the yeast is what dominates. Sort of like a Trader Joe's lager poured into a glass with a splash of Duvel left. No discernible aroma. Is there a faint whiff of hops? Slight bitterness is the final taste. Not any improvement on the run of the mill Euro Lagers, and less pleasant than the crisper varieties.

From the six pack bought at Liticker's Liquor in San Diego. Not very expensive, fortunately.

Clear golden, short-lived white head - some lace.
Muted nose - faint cracker, smoke...some grassy tone.
Dry and crisp but lacks the flavor of a pilsner - - not terrible but nothing memorable either.
Clean, thin, proper carbonation in the mouthfeel.
So - so overall....not one that gives you much to make you want another 1 or 2.

11.2 oz. bottle - Part of a 12-pack variety pack (about $16.00 at my local store) - Poured into a pils glass -

Pours golden with abundant carbonation rushing to the top, forming a thin, bubbly head that lasts. Spotted lacing sticks.

Smells of grain, some floral notes and a hint of sulfur.

The taste is of some sweet grain, some sulfur-ish yeast, and a floral, dry finish. Crisp.

It's light-bodied, crisp, with ample carbonation, but not too fizzy.

It's a nicely balanced, refreshing Euro Lager.

Pours a clean yellow color with a white head. In the aroma, saaz hops, with small fruity notes. In the taste, saaz hops and a small fruitiness, that runs dry to sweet to dry again. A small hop bite and a lighter bodied mouthfeel, with a lightly dry to clean aftertaste. A fresh pils with a nice hop presence. Reminds me of Belgium, drinking with the locals at the Hop Festival.

Part of a mixed 12 pack for $19.99. 11.2oz bottle. This beer is already a conundrum. This beer labels itself a "Belgian Premium Pils", but then also says it's an ale on the label...with "a slow fermentation" which implies it's a lager, not an ale. Anywhoo...hopped with Saaz. 5.2% ABV.

Pours out to a brilliantly clear, apparently filtered, straw golden, forming a medium tall white head with very good retention and lacing. Moderate brisk carbonation, ~3.0 carbs. The aroma is basically a very clean lager with a touch of corn (adjunct or DMS) with no appreciable hop nose. Basically like Budweiser. Smells like the same yeast strain. The mouthfeel is crisp, clean and light bodied. Yeah, this isn't an ale. The taste...well, a little pils malt here, a little corn there, a little hop bitterness there...not much to speak of. Clean finish. Just enough hop bitterness to stand out from domestic pale lagers.

Well, it's a good beer, but it's still a pale euro-lager. I'd drink it in a pinch, but there are tastier euro lagers out there. It does what it intends, which is to be easy drinking.
