Pours light golden/ white with a foamy white two finger head. Smell is very grainy and not much more. Taste is a lot like the smell . Very clean and crisp, bubbly. Finishes a little dry as expected. Not much goin on here, grainy white and light, good for an entry level Belgian drinker but a bit. One dimensional for me.

A lot of Palm beers on tap at this place in Gent. This witbier has a typical spiced lemony coriander aroma. Similar to Hoegaarden in regards to the flavor profile. The mouthfeel however is different. The good-a quick crisp finish. The not so good-a thin mouthfeel and a bit too drying. Good drinkability but just average for a wit.

Bottle of 250 ml, ABV 5.0%, at home, poured into a tumbler glass.
Light honey color, hazy, with a one finger white head. Head has good retention, going down slowly, no lacing left behind.
Fruity smell of bananas and oranges.
Taste follows the smell, fruits, mostly banana with some citrus notes.
Medium thickness on the body, average carbonation.

Appearance: A rather unimpressive pour, with none of the Belgian froth one would expect; just a finger or so of head sits atop the hazy straw-colored liquid and it quickly fritters away to a film, leaving just a few dots behind
Smell: Very bready, with a vague hint of lemon; the spicing is barely discernable
Taste: Bready, up front, with a touch of banana and a hint of lemon; the spicing is so subtle that the beer tastes more like a hefe than a wit; in the finish, the banana and lemon tones are just a tad more discernable, though the breadiness remains the dominant flavor
Mouthfeel: Light to medium body, with low carbonation
Overall: Very easy to drink and I can see where this might be enjoyable on a hot day, but it is nowhere near the top echelon of wits

I had this beer poured from a bottle into a tasting glass.
The beer poured average with a mildly hazy golden straw color, a nice white foamy head, and left no lacing on the glass. The beer smelled average as I got subtle hints of lemon zest, wheat, and a bready yeast. The beer tastes mediocre as it mild flavors of lemon and wheat but very light in taste, almost too light on flavor. The mouthfeel was average as the beer was well carbonated, light bodied, with watery mouth, no lingering taste. Overall, the taste of this beer was extremely mild and lacking in flavor. This beer would be good for someone trying to get into craft beer and wanted to start out light and work their way into it slowly.

Pretty decent Wit, maybe not in the top tier but good and highly drinkable nonetheless.
Hazy yellow colored beer, nice big fluffy head, settles down slowly, moderate lacing.
Typical Wit aromas, very lemony, coriander and other spices, yeast. Clove and banana in there too. The taste is pretty much right there as well. Not the most flavorful or biggest character for the style but more than passable. Some malty notes along with the citrus and spices.
Crisp and refreshing, fairly dry and short finish. Fizzy carbonation. I am a fan of the style and enjoy most of them if they’re not, you know, terrible. Maybe prefer something a little more interesting but this one works in a pinch. Decent price too.

S- Slightly sweet. Lemon. Touch of clove spice.
T- Little bit of lemon and clove.
M- Light, dry, and somewhat watery. Medium carbonation.
O- Nothing special. Not that bad. Very easy to drink.

A: Poured from a bottle to a pint glass. Had a pale yellow color and a cloudy consistency. There was an inch of fizzy, fairly long-lasting head. OK lacing.
S: A somewhat subdued aroma of malt, citrus and some spices.
T: Like the smell, the taste was very mild, with some malt, coriander and a little lemon in it. Not wholly unlikable, but not sharp enough to be entirely successful.
M: A well-carbonated beer with a smooth, dry finish. Light-bodied.
O: This isn't a terrible beer by any means, but it wouldn't be my first choice if I was buying a Witbier.

Wheat beer from Belgium, often a good choice.
25 cl, small , bottle.
Colour of lemonjuice, cloudy, with white head, nice lacing.
Smell of fresh baked bread, citric and floral hops.
Taste is mild bittersweetness from malts and hops, but also a pleasant yeastyness.
Smooth and refreshing
Overall, a good alternative to f.i. Hoegaarden, I would say.

Poured from a bottle into a Guinness pint glass in low altitude Galway Ireland. The cork didn't explode, thankfully.
A: Pours a two finger, thin head of poor retention. Hazy dark yellow colour.
Sm: Light. Clean. Barley. Nothing extraordinary. A bit disappointing.
T: Crystal hops. A slight hint of orange. Barley. The body really needs more complexity. This beer doesn't try to do enough. Disappointing for a witbier.
Mf: Very fizzy and extremely light on the palate. The finish is lovely and tantalizing.
Dr: You could down it all night because it's so light, but the taste doesn't justify that. Disappointing for a Belgian beer.

A: 1 inch fluffy head, fast rising carbonation and lots of it. Flakes of yeast floating around. Light hazy yellow.
S: Sweet yeast, banana, thick, lemon peel.
T: Very mild flavor. Watery, sour, a bit like tonic water. Bland.
M: Sharp, crisp carbonation. Medium body, barely astringent.
D: Uninteresting taste, but it feels nice.

I found this Belgian witbier in a 750ml in the lush beer section of Whole Foods Market in Manhattan. I was intrigued after reading of Steenbrugge in "Brewing with Wheat."
A Light-yellow straw color. Moderate carbonation. Thick foamy white head of 1.5 cm disappearing almost entirely over several minutes. Mild permanent haze, but clearer than other witbiers epitomizing the style.
S Overall, mostly clean, but slight hoppy aroma, however. No appreciable yeast in the aroma. No major represenation of the Steenbrugge gruut (herbs) in the aroma.
T Smooth and balanced. Some nasal, hoppy bitterness but also some "creaminess. " Again, the guut is downplayed in the taste. Not tart or sour like some wheats, but overall typical of the style.
M Not very full bodied, on the thin and watery side.
D Extremely inviting and light and refreshing. An excellent representative of the witbier style, and probably dynamite outdoors in the summer. Compares well with San Bernardus wit and Hoegaarden.
