12 oz bottle. Given to me by a co-worker after his return from Guatemala. Poured a fizzy pale yellow, no real head to speak of, no lacing evident. Aroma slightly skunked, you can pick up a faint citrus aroma thrown in there, but when you taste it, all you get is a fizzy, bland, watered down taste. No hops, no bitterness, sweetness, nothing. If I didn't know better I'd say this was a Coors

I was impressed. Very drinkable, can taste Barley and lots of hops for a lager. Clean and refreshing, smell not as good, small head. Kind of a mix between Pacifico and Modelo Negro. There are not many beer companies in Guatemala and it's hard to compete with this brand with this taste. Guatemala's best beer will not disappoint.

Despite pouring the beer into the middle of the glass, the thin head could not even cover the surface. The body is clear, light straw colored.
There is absolutely no aroma, which might be a good thing.
The taste is a little grain, metal and mild bitter at the end.
The texture is crisp with a high carbonation.
Not a good beer.

Pours a clear golden yellow with a white head. Smells quite a bit like corn, not shockingly. Fairly bland and unoffensive nose, though. Mostly just sweet with a bit of cereal. Flavor is sweet with corn, a touch of bread, a little bit of apple, maybe some yeast. No hop flavor or bitterness. Easy to slam on a hot day.

Famosa (Gallo, or Rooster) has a thick, white head, and a bubbly, straw appearance, with even a little lacing left on the glass. The aroma is of sweet, bready, biscuity barley malt, and the flavor is sweet, malty, sugary, and a bit hoppy as well. Mouthfeel is light and watery, and Famosa finishes crisp, clean, refreshing, mostly dry, and imminently drinkable. This is an example of a near-perfect lager beer. It’s delicious!

A: The beer is clear light yellow in color and has a light amount of visible carbonation. It poured with a ring of large bubbles around the edge of the glass and some lacing on the surface.
S: There are light to moderate aromas of skunk in the nose—the smell dies down as the beer warms up.
T: Like the smell, the taste is rather skunky and does not have any other discernible flavors. There is a light amount of bitterness.
M: It feels light-bodied on the palate and has a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: This beer isn’t horrible, but doesn’t have much in the way of a smell or taste other than skunk. However, the light body makes it easy to drink. This might be good if it was tried fresh in the tropics.
