Pours a clear yellow with a fizzy off-white head that settles to wisps of film on top of the beer. Tiny dots of lace slowly drip into the remaining beer on the drink down. Smell is of malt, grain, and some sugary aromas. Taste is much the same with a sweet flavor up front and a grainy finish. This beer has a lower level of carbonation with a slightly crisp mouthfeel. Overall, this is a pretty average beer that is quite drinkable but nothing very exciting.

Incredibly light straw coloured yellow with a massive, foamy white head about an inch and a half tall and with decent retention staying quite well. There is tonnes of bubbles aggressively making their way to the top of the glass as well.
Quite sweet with a lot of sugary syrup and a strong lemon aroma coming through. There is a strange, almost skunky aroma but not quite skunk and also some basic lager malts and hops coming through as I've come to expect from this type of beer. There is some grain, corn and yeast but the smell is not a particularly nice one and comes across quite strong and offensive, although it does settle down ever so slightly after a few minutes.
Basic lager malts, a little grassy hops and a touch of sugary syrup in there that all match the nose without being quite so offensive. It was sweet in parts with some corn and bread plus a little grain.
Light but not quite watery, there is a slightly grainy feel but for the most part it's smooth and with a wet, very light bitter finish. Basic but what you would expect really for the style.
Not a great introduction to Lithuanian beer at all and not a drink that I'll be seeking out again, this one started really strong and was quite harsh on both the nose and taste buds and although it did settle down some what, it was still miles off being a good beer.

500ml bottle. Pokal glass. Enjoyed on jul´12. Crystal clear & yellow in color. White froth. Close, slowly dissipated crown. Aromas of sugar, malts & lemon syrup. Sweet maltiness at first sip & vey smooth palate. Very subtle citric hop follows. Light to medium body. Moderate carbonation. Watery texture. Hinst of ripe fruit –apples & pears- in the middle lingers into a dry sweet finish.

My frequent local trader, tone77, laid this on me in a recent trade. I am always curious as to where he finds some of these beers, but bottles make a suitable alternative to The CANQuest (TM) until I CAN lay in some more CANned beers.
From the bottle: "Alus-Piwo-Bier-Cerveza-[Cyrillic lettering]"; "Premium Lager"; "Crystal clear water from 615 feet depths, a delicate combination of carefully slected malt, premium hop products, and the traditional recipe that has been developed over the years flavors the beer with an exceptionally refreshing taste Utenos brewers are really proud of. Obviously refreshing. UTENOS BEER."
I went with a heavy-handed pour which resulted in two-plus fingers of dense bone-white head that evinced decent retention. Color was a pale lemon-yellow with NE-quality clarity. Nose had a grassy, slight skunkiness to it, but not unheard of in the style. Mouthfeel was medium with a slight sourness to its bitterness. I understood the presence of Noble hops, but there was something off about the beer's flavor on the tongue. Finish was kind of grainy and kind of tart in a lemon-citrus way. It was not totally awful, but neither is it getting any kind of high marks from me.

Poured from a clear 16.9 oz. bottle. Has a light golden color with a 1/2 inch head. Smell is of grains, a touch of skunk. Taste is crisp, malts and grains, a touch of sweetness to it. Feels medium bodied in the mouth and overall is a refreshing and very drinkable beer.

A: The beer pours a clear golden color with a short lived white head.
S: Smells of corn and straw. Not much going on here in terms of malt, maybe a bit of cracker malts. A light yeast aroma and fruit esters and apple juice.
T: A weird creaminess/sweetness with lots of corn. A light malt/bread note with some hints of bitterness and skunk. Somewhat watery with a bit of grass.
M: Light in body, slightly watery, with a medium carbonation.
O: Watery and bland for the most part, but just offensive enough.

Appearance: Great carbonation this beer does not have. But the pale greenish yellow is kind of cool in my opinion. Not sure if it should look like that, but there definitely is a green tint to this. Good lacing and foam.
Smell: Basically a lighter version of Golden Pheasant. Kinda weird.
Taste/Mouthfeel: Taste starts out refreshing. Sweet and lemony. Then it gets warm and gross. Mouthfeel overall is not good. Really watery and a bit slimy.
Drinkability: It's pretty obvious the water IS pure as advertised. Many rougher water would have hidden the imperfections in this.
Overall: Definitely not worth it.

Poured from a bottle into a Hoegaarden pint glass in low altitude Galway, Ireland, on November 14th, 2010.
Appearance: Pours a clear yellow. Interesting downward-force bubble show as the head quickly recedes. Two finger head of moderate thickness and a little cream. Pretty standard fare for a lager.
Smell: Hint of cream, malt, and barley. Nothing special.
Taste: Bit of cream on the open, a very smooth and clean barley body (which is one note but well built for what it is), and a crisp smack-your-lips finish. I love how the finish subtly counterbalances the body, but it just doesn't aspire to be anything bold.
Mouthfeel: Too smooth and too wet, but luckily not watery. The finish is the highlight of this beer, but that isn't saying much.
Drinkability: There is better beer to be had at this price range, but I'd like to try more Lithuanian brews.

Presentation: Poured from a 500ml clear bottle into a standard Shaker pint. My mother in law got this for me in a pack of beers from around the world. Label is foiled blue, gold, and white. No freshness date.
Appearance: Pours with 1 finger of pure white head. This settles to a thin layer of foam and eventually to nothing. The beer itself is bright yellow and perfectly clear with moderate activity. No sediment in the bottle.
Smell: Sweet malt with hints of lemon grassiness.
Taste: Very sweet malt upfront with a very slight citrusy finish. Long lingering sweetness in the finish, no bitterness.
Mouthfeel: Average carbonation level. Body is good.
Drinkability: Not too bad. An easy drinking beer, mainly because of its relatively across the board lack of anything too strong or stand out, Probably won't revisit again.

Presentation: 16.9 oz bottle into a large nonic. Thanks to beveritt for passing this one along to help feed the disease.
A- Pours a very pale golden, with ~1 finger of white head. Head fades gradually into a thin island of bubbles.
S- Sweet and grainy/corny. A slight hint of metallic aroma, and some very muted biscuit notes.
T- Grainy, and quite sweet. Slight lemon hint. Bitterness is very subdued. Not much to this, but at least it isn't unpleasant.
M- Surprisingly low carbonation. Moderately light feel.
D- OK. Inoffensive and easy to drink. Could easily down several pints if I were so inclined.
Future outlook: Not terrible...better than the staple BMC brews, but not worth repeat business.

Poured a light straw hue with a two finger foamy white head. There was decent retention and lacing.
The smell featured a sweet adjunct and a slight grassy hop.
The taste consited of a nearly cloyingly sweet adjunct and light utilitarian hop.
The mouthfeel was typical of the style.
Overall a below average euro lager.

A lithuanian beer, eh? I can't believe I'm trying this but here goes...
A - Poured from the clear bottle into a clear pint glass. The body of this brew is a clear pale straw color topped by a one finger white bubbly head. Head retention wasn't terrible at first, but it quickly receded to a thin cap which didn't leave much in terms of lacing.
S - Smells grainy with just a hint of lemon lingering in the background.
T & M - Sweet grainy taste with just a hint of lemon. There is a touch of diacetyl in there, and pretty much no hop character to note. Thin watery mouthfeel, finishes crisp but with a bit of a sweet aftertaste.
D - Pretty easy to drink, but there are better brews out there. I just had to give a Lithuanian brew a try.

A: Poured a very slight hazy lemon-orange with a creamy, dull white head. Visible carbonation was extremely soft.
S: promising with bright lemons and oranges with a nice spicy hop zing to it.
T: The flavor had a decent fresh graininess to it with hints of lemons and oranges. Pretty basic, ok overall with a crisp finish. There was some sweet buttery notes as well some citrus coming through in the end.
M: light, with a soft carbonation providing for a moderate feel.
D: Drinkability was average, not much to say about this flavor wise or drinkability wise. Doesn't offend though certainly not enough to distinguish itself.

Pale yellow almost grapefruit color . Fluffy white head with good lacing.
Sweet , grassy, or grainy aroma with slight citrus under tones.
Had a sweet , grainy , slight bitter taste . bitterness on back of tongue that faded quickly. This is a better tasting lager than you would get from a US macro brewer.
easy drinking , I found it pretty refreshing. A good beer but not outstanding.

500 ml bottle, courtesy of Cardinal pub, Stavanger. ABV is 5%. Pale golden colour, large head. Moderate sweetish aroma with notes of pale lager wort, hints of maize (corn) too, some fruity aromatic hops. Moderate carbonation in the glass, soft mouthfeel. The flavour has some malty sweetness and tolerable hops in the finish. Not too bad for a standard pale lager, but I preferred their Pilsener.

Nice straw yellow with a sustained white head. The smell is of light touched malt with a little punch of grassy hops. The taste is quite nice and I think this is due to the water that is used, the malt profile holds the beer together well and I think the hop flavor is a good size for such a small beer. This is a broad bodied beer for a Pale lager and this beer really delivers. Cheers to Utenos.

Appearance--pours a bright golden honey yellow with a large foamy bright white head that doesn't last. Mild carbination. Some lacing remains.
Smell--medium sweet malt and corn. I smell a hint of tuna?
Taste--Typical light euro lager minus any hops or body. Mild and lacks any complexity. Has a slight sweet and sourness. Anyone would drink this one, but it is boring.
Mouthful--Very light body. Thin.
Drinkability--Very drinkable as it is light and watery, but again nothing special here.

500 ml Bottle
Very pale yellow color and a huge fluffy white head. Very little action in the glass. The taste is similarly flat. Light and sweet with no body or depth. Grainy with no real hops to back it all up. No real nose. Very easy to drink. Just slightly more enjoyable than your typical euro lager. Seems to be pretty rare so its probably worth picking one up if you see it, however the end result is nothing special.
Since I didnt buy this one Im not sure how fresh it is. The back label seems to be set up for freshness notching but there were no marks on mine.
