While this is a ways away from my house, the wife and I will make the trip out west since it is a fun place to go. We love the cocept of being able to eat, watch a movie, and have a few drinks all at the same time!

The food was pretty descent. I can't remember what I had last time, but have never been unhappy with what I had. The desserts are the only think that I am not a fan of.

Beer selection is nice especially since it is a movie theater. 23 that I counted on the menu and the bottled menu was about 36. Alright prices..but then again that is the trend all over.

Hope this helps!

I have not been here since we had kids but we used to enjoy going here for a movie when we were single. The food is ok, but you just can't beat the service. We usually ordered the pizza or the burgers which are just average in my opinion. It was nice to get served during the meal. The beer and wine selection is great for a place like this. Desserts are also very nice. Now that they have one in Katy, we will be visiting them rather than the west oaks location but I definitely recommend visiting.

This is absolutely the only place i will watch a movie in Houston. Not only is the beer selection good for a movie theater, but it's better than 95% of the bars/pubs in town. They rotate seasonal beers and have a very impressive and growing selection on tap. One of the only places in town i know of that has selections from Rogue and Stone breweries.

They have current movies and kids under 18 are not allowed without parents. It is themed for adults and it makes the experience much more pleasant. The also have beer tastings, celebrity appearances, anime, and other special events.

Overall, highly recommended.

I know of no other place in my area where you can drink beer and see a movie. This is not a bar you go to to drink; you have to buy a movie ticket to get in the door, and there are only six or so seats at the bar (enough to get your beer before going into the theatre). It is a really cool set-up. There is a low bar-like table running in front of every row of seats in the theatre, with a space in front for the servers to walk (bent over at the waist so you can still see your movie). They show recently released films, but also regularly show older classics (Scarface, the week we went). Beer selection is quite impressive considering it's such a small place. Bottles include some Sam Smiths, some Young's, some New Belgiums, some Real Ale, Abita, Unibroue, ciders; draft is more common (Fat Tire, Guinness, Harp, Sierra Pale, St. Arnold's Amber, Stella, Dos Equis) but also Monty Python's Holy Grail and Hoegaarden. I think it's awesome that you can get beer brought to you in a movie theatre! We had dinner too and food was really good. It was a little pricey but a unique and enjoyable experience.

This is the coolest theater I have ever been to! Dinner and drinks with your movie... I don't know what the situation is elsewhere but it is definitely not normal to get a beer with a movie here in Houston so this is pretty special. They even have special nights of the week when they show different indie films and classics. The day after I went they were showing Scarface and serving Mojitos.

They ID you when you buy your ticket and then you walk right up to the bar where you would normally find concessions. The fact that they check IDs is nice because the place isn't overun with 14 year olds like most theaters. The bar is small but attractive with a large selection of drafts. In the theater you sit in normal theater seating but there is a narrow table/counter in front of each row.

The service was very good. Our waiter did an excellent job of taking care of us while not being a distraction to the movie. You just write your order on a slip of paper and they come around to take it. Very unobtrusive.

The beer selection was probably about 60 or 70 beers, maybe a little more than that, didn't count. This included some crap beers but there were some nicer selections including several imports and some American craft brews. They had a couple of beers that are their exclusive brews although I didn't try any of those. We ended up drinking New Belgium Trippel for most of the evening.

The food was pretty good but nothing to write home about. When I go back I'llprobably get the pizza. My girlfriend had it and I think it outdid my sandwich and was a better deal.

The beer and admission were fairly priced but I do think the food was just a bit pricey. We ended up spending about $60 on the whole thing. I think it was worth it though to have this unique experience. I've been thinking about checking this place out for a while and I am glad I did.

The basic reason this place is on BA is because it is one of two places in Houston where you can eat and drink while watching a movie. Luckily their beer selection is pretty good too. The bottled selection includes a nice mix of popular craft brew, imports, and locals, plus the standard domestic fare. The beer on-tap is more interesting, IMO, and includes 4 or 5 of the "tap only" Texas micros. An estimation of the overall number of beers is 50 to 60. Food and beverage is served at tables that are in front of standard movie seats. Service is quite good and didn't interrupt the movie as much as I thought it would. However, I do imagine that full theater house, like Friday and Saturday nights, might make the waitstaff very busy and detract from the film. The food was pretty good, a personal pizza was a perfect size for my father and very tasty . Unfortunately, the philly cheesesteak I had was too small and not that good. Plus they charged $3 extra for fries, which I thought were part of my meal. The beer and pizza prices were very reasonable, but the cheesesteak was a little high priced. The overall experience was enjoyable. If you want to drink good beer and have a meal while watching a movie, Alamo Drafthouse is recommended with just a few aforementioned downsides.

What a concept!!! Solid beer selection that continues to grow. Good mix of micro brews and traditional lagers. The bar area is very small, so grab one before getting seated, then order from teh servers inside the theater. The food is actually very good. The pizza is some of the best in Houston. Burgers and Chicken Sandwiches. Wide variety of food to choose from. The service is excellent and completely undisruptive. The screens are not exactly high tech, but who cares, where else can you watch a movie while servers bring you food and good beer????

Alamo Draft House is an innovative concept. Go to one place to eat, drink, and see a movie. And you never have to move! So it's actually a theater but it's different. The rows are further apart to allow for shallow long tables in between them. Arrive twenty minutes or so before your show to order drinks and food. Before and during the movie, the servers will serve food and continue to take drink orders. If you need anything during the show, paper pads are provided for you to leave a note for your server. And you would think the servers would get in the way of the movie, but they are pretty good about ducking down. Since it's dinner and a movie all in one, the crowd is generally older, couples trying to get away (so it's quieter). Don't expect a stellar beer offering, just your standard fare. The food is decent for being a movie theater. The food selection is standard comfort foods- pizza, burgers, chicken sandwiches, salads, and chips and queso. All in all, a great date night place.
