On-tap, poured into a pint glass.
A- Pours a hazy golden color with a finger of creamy white head, nice lacing.
S- Wheat sweetness, grain, a bit of breadiness and citrus. A bit of muted soapiness.
T- Similar to the flavor, sweet grain and wheat flavors, some lemon and soapiness again, has a really nice doughiness towards the finish.
M- Medium-bodied, smooth feel.
O- Not a bad pilsner, I'm not crazy about the citrus aspect but the malt flavors are very nice.

Golden clear color with a two inch head and some lace on the glass. The smell is mostly a citrusy grassy aroma, with a faint cereal grain. The taste has that nice grassy, lemony, doughy characteristic found in a summery pils. The finish has a nice hoppy bite followed by a clean crisp maltiness. Great option for the summer time, refreshing and easy-drinking.

I heard some good things about kelso so I figured I would give this a try
A- a golden yellow body with fair shades of lacing on the sides of the glass. No foam from the pour, but slow carbonation arises to the top making an attept
S- faint scents of grass, lemon, and bready scents are at the forefront. Not over powering, but still there
T- a stronger appearance of bready and grassy notes are presented as good pilsner flavors. Very lively and refreshing brew
M- excellent carbonation and flavor on the mouth. Very respectful properties of good pilsner
O- Very refreshing pilsner that displays the taste profile I look for. The grassy and lemony flavors are both in full effect and excellent

Had on tap at Whole Foods on Columbus Circle in NYC.
A: Served in a pint glass, the beer was a hazy golden color with a small white head on top. Not much retention or lacing.
S: Very light citrus and lemony aromas with some grainy malt and some bready sweetness.
T: Some sweet bready/grainy malt upfront which transitions to some light citrus and lemon.
M: Light to medium bodied, very crisp and easy drinking.
O: Took a shot on a brewery I had never heard of, and it paid off. It isn't mind blowing, but definitely a solid beer that I could drink all the time.

A: The beer is clear light yellow in color and has some hints of visible carbonation. It poured with a thin white head that died down and left only a ring of bubbles on the surface around the edge of the glass.
S: There are moderate aromas of bready and grainy malts in the nose.
T: The initial taste has flavors of soapiness and bready malts with some notes of sweetness while flavors of grainy malts become more noticeable towards the finish. The graininess and soapiness begins to disappear as the beer warms up and is replaced with more sweetness.
M: It feels light- to medium-bodied on the palate and has a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: This beer becomes a lot more drinkable as it warms up and bready malts dominate more of the flavor and are accompanied by sweetness.

On tap @ Little Town in Union Square. Awesome place that only serves craft beers. And only crafts brewed in NY State.
A- Pale golden yellow, has about 1/2 in head laces beautifully with lovely activity
S - really nothing there, watery slightly malty with just the faintest buttery sense
T - Wow super smooth with a lot going on. Starts sweet and malty, buttery smoothness. Nice dry hop finish, super crisp and refreshing!
M - Finishes clean, perfect amount of carbonation. Unbelievably drinkable
O- where has this been all my life one of the best I've had this summer. Great choice for those not yet into crafts, really tasty and a great American pilsner

On tap at a local pub, poured into a cheater pint
A: straw yellow color, small silky white head, reduces to a thin pancake cap, light carbonation bubbles
S: mellow aroma, slight grass
T: sweeter than I would have expected for the style. Grass and flower hoppiness try their best to balance sweetness but fail. Kind of a bland beer.
M: medium bodied, very drinkable
O: not bitter enough to be really called a pilsner, feels more like a blond ale with continental hops. Overall very sessionable.
Cheers!!!

Been drinking this on tap since my local place showing playoff ball has this on special during all games. A not quite clear straw yellow with a solid little foamy head into the pint glass. The smells are of sweet bread and some grassy and lightly floral hop. Decent bitterness, a long and slow malt sweetness with good body, and a kiss of hops, floral, citrus, grassy.
A solid beer with some good dextrins holding it up. Will be drinking much more of this until the playoffs draw to a close.

From a growler fill from Brazen Head. Pours a light straw color with small sized head. Smells slightly floral with a bit of banana action. Very light body with lingering carmel-ish sweetness. Hops not really assertive enough on this one for my liking, and the resulting is a fairly tired beer. Not the best Kelso style around.

Served on-tap at Amity Hall in the West Village. I didn't want to have this beer; I was supposed to be drying out for a day, but my friend @bearhuman was in town and I waited to see her off. It wasn't so exceptional that I regretted the decision to leave half of it on the counter. But the initial bite was pretty good. Maybe that was just my decision to drink again talking though.
Appearance: Looks like a pilsner, but it still has a body. Decent head, not much lacing to speak of. Golden color tells you what it is, if you didn't already know.
Smell: No real aroma to write home about, but I have a hard time knocking light beers for that. There's some malt, a little hops.
Taste: Not gonna be my session beer, but the ingredients seem good enough. Maybe a hint of citrus in it in addition to the malt and hops. Bites a bit. I will up my beercabulary to do better justice in the future.
Mouthfeel: Crisp. Goes down easy. But only very little substance. It's like a typical action movie with no compelling suspense.
Drinkability: it's funny because out of all the categories I gave this the best rating, and I didn't even finish my pint.
Only tastes from now on in the BeerQuest. Only tastes.

Served in a plastic cup at a stand in Coney Island.
Appearance: Deep golden color with a small white head that dissipates slowly and leaves lots of lace.
Smell: Weak smell, mostly of sweet, grainy pilsner malt
Taste: Rather sweet and grainy with some citrus and a balanced finish.
Mouthfeel: Lighter body with balanced carbonation and a crisp, refreshing finish.
Drinkability: A solid pilsner- a faithful interpretation of the style.
