I came here while working in the area for the week. I had previously visited the BrickHouse about three years prior.

A: Typical warm brewpub setting with a long wrap around bar and seperate dining area. The place was filled with college types ordering cheap bottled beer, not too many craft beer drinkers to be seen.

Q: The beers were better than drinking macro bottles beer and slightly above average for the styles that I had this evening, which were IPA, Pale Ale, Rauchbier, and Nitro Stout.

S: The place was crowded so I gave them some slack but when I was told by the bartender, Ill be right back...then 10 minutes later, I still couldnt get acknowledged, thats bad.

S: They had a nice wide variety of different styles on tap which appeared to range from 11 different beers, plus two guest taps.

F: Food was decent...I ordered the Bourbon Chicken which came with two sides. One of the sides I ordered was wrong and they gave away my food to someone else so I had to wait longer.

V: Pints were in the 6-7 range and the food was higher than I normally see in the area, but they compensated with two free pints for screwing up my order, especially after they gave my order away to someone else.

Overall, I wouldnt drive out of my way to go here but if you are close by, then it may be worth a stop. Unfortunately, this section of Long Island seems to be far and few between or good craft bars or brewpubs.

A - A little dark inside, especially near the bar. The main room is large and wide open. Not sure if there's any other seating area.

Service was great. Attentive bartender that could properly explain each of the beers on-tap. Friendly, and willing to make conversation.

Nice selection of house beers, with good range in styles and abv's. I just so happened to be there on wing night, so the .25 wings made it a no brainer. Prices were very reasonable.

Located right on Main St. in Patchogue, this brew house not only has great homemade beers and other local craft beers, they also have great food. They have a full service bar, a restaurant, and a brewery.
Owned by a member of the same family that started Keegan Ales, they know what they're doing beer wise, sometimes bringing back old styles not often found in your everyday beer distributor.
Food wise they have a great menu, and some great changing specials. Definitely a great place to go for food and a brew. Parking can sometimes be a bit of a hassle, but most of the time you can find a spot in the lot behind the building.

Stopped in for a quiet lunch during a recent trip to LI.

Place is kinda dumpy and smells a bit (yes, I do know it's a brewery). But something smelled a bit off - like dirty socks. Worn around the edges and could use a nice overhaul.

Served at the bar by a very friendly and helpful bartender, but she seemed not to know a ton about the beers - no biggie.

Had a roast beef sammich au jus with jalapenos and cheese that was extremely tasty.

Had a decent English-style IPA, followed up by a forgettable lager then an amazing English style Pale Ale. All beers are well-made and fresh.

I'd come back here again.

A - Was here during the week. It was quiet. I've also been here when bands play live music. Overall not a craft beer vibe, but not a bad place.

Q - All their beers are top notch, easily noted on the chalkboard. That's a plus; you know what styles they have.

Serv - Bartender knows the offerings, can make suggestions, and is attentive. Not a 5 because all beers seem to go into pint glasses.

Sel - Gotta love a place with 10 of their own offerings on tap. Also 2 guest taps. You ar elimited to what they have, but they cover all styles you could think of.

F - Good choices, standard pub\restaurant fare. I've been satisfied with the food, though never wowed by it.

V - Actaully reasonable. Two beers and an app for under $15. That's a win.

I'll be back. Been here a long time ago and the visit today would make me come back sooner.

This is really great place for beer, music, and watching a football game. The appetizers are excellent and plentiful making it a perfect place to watch a football game. The nachos are really good, so are Brickhouse Clams made with Brickhouse Brewery's light ale. I would highly recommend the jambalaya, too. The brews here are excellent, too. Especially, the Dark Star Imperial Stout and the Main Street Coffee Porter. The Coffee porter is a new release and is a first class porter. A slight effervense makes it unique and adds character to this excellent beer. Which has become a favorite of mine. The Brickhouse Brewery serves it in a pint class with a bit of coffee on the rim, giving it a nice kick.

Atmosphere is decent. They had some good band playing but it was so crowded and loud that it was hard to talk to the people I was with. The food was pretty good (we got a bunch of the appetizers) but the beer was pretty bad. You know how there are some brew pubs that brew stuff that's clearly designed to convince people who normally drink BMC that they are now drinking "good beer" but really its nothing special? Yeah, that's this place. The guest taps were better than their beer.

Overall, this isn't a place I would really choose to go to again. I didn't care for the beer very much and I didn't like the atmosphere. Its pretty much an average, unexciting bar. Bobbique across the street is also really, really good so I dunno why anyone would choose the Brick House over Bobbique.

I am going to make this short and sweet.

The beer is ok at best.
The food is better then normal pub grub.
The music is almost always awesome.

One of the main reasons i go here, is because my band plays here a lot. Other then that, i don't tend to visit The Brick House. I know Mark Burford from Bluepoint is the brewmaster here as well, but there is just something about the beer. The atmosphere is what you would expect. The mash and fermenter tanks in the foreground give it a nice touch as well.

Stopped in for lunch on my last day in Patchogue. The Brickhouse Brewery is on main street in downtown Patchogue.

Large red brick building on the corner, pretty old. Big Greeni/Blue signage. Brewing system visible through the large front windows.

Met the greater at the front where bottled beer and other shwag are available for sale. The brewing is being conducted on the left as you walk in. I could smell fresh wort, I think the brewer just finished lautering.

The bar meet you directly. Pretty big, with seating that wraps all the way around. They must have a pretty good following as they have a bunch of mug club mugs hanging around the bar. There's more seating in the dining area in back. Reggae music playing at a nice level for conversation.

The decor is pretty simple, old brick and original signage visible. They have a bunch of signed t-shirts from other breweries on display around the bar area.

I sat in a bar table to the adjacent to the bar as it was full. Above my head was a chalk board that listed the breweries offerings which included: Street Light, A Red, Hurricane Kitty (IPA?) and a oatmeal stout. I ordered the sampler flight of six which included two guest taps from Keegan Ales (a Brown and a Stout)

All the beers were pretty piss poor. The two guest taps were better than the house offerings. The pale honestly made me gag a little. I don't know if their recipes are jacked or if it's the lines but only two beers of that six were drinkable, in a sampler size. I don't understand how anyone could stomach a tall mug!

The chicken sandwich and fries were the only saving grace of this place. The overall vibe was kind of odd. The beer really was awful. Save yourself the time and go across the street to Bobbique, awesome food and out of this world beer!

Big Skip! BOOO!

Went here with a bunch of grad. school buddies...

Atmosphere is pretty good. They often have a live band playing and the area is rather large. They have a decent bar if you want to be close to the music as well as a back seating area if you want somewhere a little quieter.

Quality is also decent. Beer was served out of clean glassware and the place just seemed generally well kept. Nothing to complain about here.

Service is pretty hit or miss depending on the waiter/waitress that you get. But in general, people are friendly and they pick up your orders rather quick.

Selection is pretty much what you'd expect from a brewpub. Their own brews plus some stuff from Keegan Ales and Blue Point are what's on tap.

Sweet potato fries is what I remember this place for. Amazing, amazing sweet potato fries. All the rest of their stuff is decent and also rather decently priced. They had a special menu for St. Patrick's day last time I went but you'll almost never order something that you'd categorize is bad or that you'd regret.

Definitely recommended if you're in the area, but nothing to travel out of your way for. If you don't like their brews though, there's always Bobbique directly across the street.
