What is in a name? Based on the sheer number of funny, clever, and dirty shirts sold at Beaver Liquors, a lot!

IMO, this place is borderline worthy of BeerFly. The selection is okay, I think there are other stores in Vail or Eagle that have better selections. Not much in the way of special release beers but the six-pack selection is solid. The beer coolers are filled with mostly Colorado stuff that you'd expect to find plus a few other West Coast breweries; just as much lame imports and BMC. The selection is nothing elite, nothing amazing... solid at best.

No help besides the cashier. Friendly people but no beer people.

I have visited this place a few times now and they are always just so great to deal with. I have noticed that it doesn't matter to these guys who you are, they know you are a paying customer and they are willing to help.

This place could carry more micros but oh well. There are two doors that allow for single mix sixers to be put together by the shopper.

There is a wide selection of wine if you are looking for such a beverage.

The store next door offers a variety of shirts that would make anyone laugh.

Beaver Liquors was a nice place to visit after a day of skiing on Beaver Creek Mountain in nearby Avon. There was an excellent selection of single bottles, both in the back and in various other refridgerators throughout the store, and there were plenty of six-pack holders available and ready to be filled with my personal selections.

The selection was Colorado-heavy, nice for a traveler like me that can't get many Left Hand, New Belgium, Avery, RBC, and other CO brewery products back home. The staff was friendly and helpful, and you can't forget the extensive Beaver Liquors merchandise available next door--some of which, I'll warn, gets rather raunchy--but all in good fun. They also have an extensive wine cellar and liquor assortment available.

I'm definitely making a point to return to Beaver Liquors next time I'm out in ski country.
