A: Cloudy brownish-amber in color. Forms a minimal off-white colored head. Some light lacing.

S: Strongly aromatic with the scent of sour cherries, red wine, green apples, red wine vinegar, and just a slight hint of oak.

T: Rather vinous. Starts off with notes of sour cherries, unripe apple, and red wine vinegar. Then the flavor turns earthy, oaky, and musty with a mild funkiness. Exceedingly long, earthy finish just lingers on the tongue.

M: On the lighter side of medium with a rather crisp, acetic, and downright sour mouthfeel to it. Good carbonation.

O: Take my review for what it is worth as I admittedly don't care much for sours, though I do tend to like and appreciate RR sour beers. But something about this beer just didn't sit right with me. And while I do think this a very finely crafted beer, I think I just found it too sour, too acetic, too similar to the beginnings of a nice salad dressing for me to be able to really enjoy it.

A - pours a hazy amber with a standard head that dissipates and forms a ring around the glass. No lace. Too hazy to see bubbles.

S - relatively soft aroma. Pedio/lacto sourness, sour cherry, oak, soft malt and pinot noir.

T - is similar to the aroma. Sour cherry dominates upfront, but not intense like a Kriek. Pinot noir and oak follows the cherry in the finish. Very nice flavor!

M - medium body. Creamy, bubbly and slightly oily. Quite acetic with a long and really pleasantly warm winey finish.

O - absolutely delicious. The pinot noir barrels compliment a sour cherry ale very nicely.
