Appearance: Straw-yellow to light golden in color. Pours a one finger head that recedes to a half-finger of fine, white bubbles.

Smell: Nice malty aroma with little to no hops. Smells Belgian for sure.

Taste: The taste started out basic with a hint of citrus. Then, as it hits the back of the tongue, it transforms into an extremely refreshing and slightly minty flavor. The finish has a very enjoyable, yet mild, bitterness. Mild, perhaps aged, hops are noticeable throughout. Also a hint of pepper that builds on the palate. Really good.

Mouthfeel: Lots of carbonation with just the right amount of body. Very, very good.

Overall: So impressed with this beer. The flavor is so unique. I will definitely be purchasing again.

Bottled 4/4/13, consumed 5/29/13

A - Cloudy yellow-orange pour with a one inch head which leaves scant lacing

S - Pear, cloves, banana peel, esters, lemon

T - More pear and cloves backed with a sour, funky yeast flavor. Prickly and alive, this beer reminds me of Duvel and Damnation

M - Prickly, well carbonated, light, smooth and lively with a dry finish

O - A very tasty, easy-drinking blonde ale. I can't believe I've never tried this guy considering I see it all over but will definitely have it again. Cheers!
