Poured from a 16oz can into a pint glass. Reviewed live.
A- Solid two-finger off-white color head. Long retention. Orange-brown color with nice clarity.
S- Biscuity malts and some semblance of syrup? Strange smell and I wonder if it hasn't gone a bit skunky.
T- Biscuit malts and earthy flavor. Slight bitter finish. Not a lot to this beer in my opinion.
M- Medium bodied, thick, biting carbonation. Not bad, not good.
O- I liked this beer when I had it at Brew Fest. Not so much now. Very drinkable, but bland.

Served from the can into a nonic pint glass
A- Poured a mostly hazy dark brown color with a big fluffy off-white head that left some droppy lace
S- Mostly grains and wheat. Nothing malty or reminiscent of a Scottish Ale. Pretty faint aroma
T- Sweet brown sugar and toffee notes, butterscotch, breadiness, barley, and a little bit of fresh citrus peel on the finish.
M- Very smooth, soft almost silky mouthfeel for the style, pleasant prickly carbonation, and a dry finish. Goes down very easy
O- I do really enjoy this style, but I don't see too many breweries attempting it. Really glad I was able to find this one in tallboy cans.

Poured from a 16 oz can into a flared pint glass
Caramel color with a great off white head and good lacing
smells like malt and bread and caramel
tastes like fresh baked bread and pretzels, malty with just a touch of spice and a few hops in the end
mouthfeel is sharp on the roof of the mouth and creamy on the tongue, easy to drink
overall, this is one of my favorite beers. If this was available locally, it would be my "go to" beer for any occasion

I am an oddity: a pacific NWer who really doesn't like hops. This beer suits my taste perfectly. I actually spend a lot of time in Scotland and Fearless Scotch ale would stand up well to traditional Scottish lager like Belhaven's, which is my choice when there. it has a low carbonation and great malt taste. It's a bit pricey -about $10 for 4 pint cans in Portland.

SMOOTH! You can taste a tinge of honey, but it's well balanced and one of my favorite beers around. I've tracked a number of beers using Untappd (179, I think) and this one is still one of the highest rated beers around.
I used to only find it on tap, but now the 16oz Cans are popping up everywhere!

Poured into a MacAndrew's thistle glass. Pours a slightly cloudy caramel amber. Thin fine head dissipates quickly to a thin film and ring around the glass, slight lacing. Aroma mostly caramel malt with slight bready malts, sweet. Taste is mild toffee, caramel malt, a bit of bisquity malt in the middle. Finishes mild caramel malt, a bit watery. This has all the right elements for a Scottish ale, but flavors are weak. Could be very nice with more assertive flavors. Light to medium bodied, too light for the style.

A: Poured a unique looking cherry wood stained color, a bit darker but like it changes color as I drink it. Has a nice dirty white cap.
S: Nose is faint with hints if toffee and caramel
T: Has a lightly toasted taste to it, elements of toffee and and cramel shine through with a very light booze presence.
M: A bit thin for the style, more body would be good
O: Average take ont he style. Not too shabby.

Sent by flexabull and poured into a tulip.
Hazy sunset ochre. On finger of fuzzy light tan head pops away to a ring at a good pace.
Smells like apple cider, earthy hops, lightly biscuity, a hint of caramel.
Flavor’s pretty much the same. There’s a heavy honey/apple flavor, almost as if the beer’s a bit oxidized. Earthy hops hit mid-palate and lend mild bitterness, acrid toasted bread lingers into the finish. Fairly clean after the swallow, but the apparent oxidation is pretty off-putting.
A few bubbles massage the tongue mildly in the medium-light body. Tastes and feels like apple juice. No hint of alcohol, so I guess it has that going for it.
This is my first taste of Fearless, and I can’t say it has me clamoring for another. Too many off-flavors going on in this can.

Nice looking beer, pours a clear and bright amber color with a huge head.
Aromas are not quite what I expected from a Scotish Ale. Hints of spicy bread and earthy hops. Not bad smelling though.
Taste is bready, oaky, and semi sweet. There are notes of light tea, caramel, and earthy hops.
Mouthfeel is nice. Full, with smooth and thick body.
Overall, this is pretty good beer. It's pretty tasty, but it comes off as being a little light tasting for the style. This tastes good, but I want a little bit more.

Hazy rust colored with moderate foamy head and good retention. Some peat and floral sweet aroma. Strong peat up front give way quickly to stony, caramel end. Gritty, earthy floral notes and a slight aftertaste. Semi-dry and sticky with a light body and no bite.
This is not an easy beer to drink, even at 5.3%. It really begins and ends with caramel but the flavors through the middle don’t meld well. It seemed to be an attempt to make a beer taste like a scotch. A noble effort but not quite there. I thought this would be a no brainer to drink with Braveheart. I guess in the sense that both were gritty and lasted too long, then it works.

Can that I picked up at whatchamacallit market last night, after the brewer offered me a sample.
Clear amber color with a dense, off-white head with excellent retention and lacing. The head does recede to a ring, leaving nothing much. The nose does have a rather prominent toasted malt character with a rather strong earthy hop character. Very twiggy. The palate opens with a blend of toasted malt and brown sugar, mildly burnt. However, there isn't enough of a body to carry these flavors. Just a light toast and not a particularly nutty backbone. Decent. Medium-light in.body with a drying, mildly bitter finish, there's some herbal character here. Decent stuff, a little more body would hugely improve things here. I feel like I'm being harsh here, but this beer really has promise to be better

Clear golden colour with a creamy, long lasting white head. Nice lacing.
Mildly malty with just a hint of hop in the aroma. A good Scottish ale aroma.
Crisp, pale malts with a touch of caramelise character. Nice and malty ale with some light hop character.
Light body with moderate carbonation.
A solid American interpretation of the Scottish Ale. I appreciate the hop crispness that has been added to the malt. Good.

Poured from 16oz can into a pint glass.
Appearance: hazy orange hue with a thin finger of creamy ivory foam. Not bad, but not much head retention and not much lace.
Smell: rich, sweet caramel malt aroma. Not terribly complex but it delivers what I like in a Scottish ale.
Taste: very nice, somewhat sweet caramel malt flavor. I definitely feel like they did a good job caramelizing the sugars in this one. Even at a mere 5.3%, the maltiness is quite impressive.
Mouthfeel: medium body and a little low on the carbonation. I think with this lighter version of the style I can't fault the body, but this beer could be a lot creamier.
Overall: I'm quite favorably impressed by Fearless Scottish Ale. This is the first of their beers that I've had and I hope each of the others is as good as this one.

Poured a 16 oz. can into a pint glass.
A: A off-white head with subtle lacing. A reddish bright color.
S: Low hop aroma apparent caramel and toasted malts.
T: Definitely a hop filled malty brew with some slight sweetness to balance out the hops.
M: A flavor that develops at the end. Not as thick as I would like from a Scottish Ale.
O: Above average, this is my favorite Scottish Ale! Well done Fearless
