Poured from a nitro-can into a Fuller's Pint glass. Fairly clear reddish gold color with several floaties and 2 fingers of dense creamy white head. The nose is nice and malty with aromas of nuts, toffee, and bread.
Light to medium body and a feel that is somewhat creamy due to the nitro. Not bitter at all. There are soft flavors of toffee and caramel that are joined at mid-palate by some tea and lemon spiciness. Very smooth and drinkable.
Overall, a nice mild fairly well-balanced ale. I'd prefer more maltiness and body. Probably won't buy this again as I'm sure there are others out there worth trying that are easy to obtain.

Best by 9/2/13.
Pours a clear dark orange with a foamy light tan head that settles to a dense cap on top of the beer. Foamy swaths of lace form around the glass on the drink down. Smell is of malt, fruits, and a some grassy aromas. Taste is much the same with malt and grain flavors on the finish. There is a very mild amount of hop bitterness on the palate with each sip. This beer has a low level of carbonation with an almost flat but creamy mouthfeel. Overall, this is an above average beer that looks great in the glass but is quite mild aroma and flavor wise.

Nitro-can poured into a nonic pint.
A- Always cool, cascading pour from a nitro can. It ends up a clean, golden-copper body with a pillowy tan head of 1-1/2 fingers. Nice, thick rings left on the glass. Great sustain on the head.
S- A little buttery. Combined with carjacker-like hops it becomes something of a buttermilk biscuit with warm butter. Hopping is floral. Light fruitiness. A little more hopping comes through and almost gets an herbal tea scent.
T- Follows aroma. A little buttery. Nice maltiness suggests biscuit-like or crackery qualities. Lighter hopping is floral. Again with the herbal tea reference.
M- Creamy, smooth. Very nitro.
O- A very drinkable beer. When I sit down for a review, I find it quite flavorful. I'd make it my session beer if it weren't still near $10 for the four tall cans. Why can't somebody make a sub-4% beer at a discounted price???

Poured from a nitro-can into a pint glass. Caramel-colored appearance with a foamy, sticky head that remains after the last drop. Light-bodied, watery, but holds onto a distinctly creamy taste. Hints of lemon citrus, malt and a slight grassiness upfront with a clean finish. A little lighter than I prefer, but very smooth and the creaminess of the ale keeps it interesting.

Poured into standard pint glass. First impression I like the color copper with slight orange hue not much aroma hint of bread. After carbonation settled 1/4" head nice lacing as the glass emptied. Good flavor the smallest bit of bitterness very low alcohol content not an issue for me as I don't drink for the purpose of getting drunk. I really enjoyed this ale. Pairs well with a variety of foods although I prefer stronger tasting beers with Spicey foods. Overall I am quite happy with tettley's. I would buy again.

This beer has a nice coppery colour and a creamy look and texture. Surprisingly so for such a light beer. It has some hints of bready malts and also tea leaves, if I'm not mistaken. Just a slight bitterness is present. Very smooth with moderate carbonation. This definitely falls into the session beer category at 3.7% abv. Probably the lowest alcohol beer I've had, discounting the diet/low-carb beers. Definitely gets a thumbs-up from me!

Random can from my fridge. Poured into an UK Imperial pint glass. Nice rush of carbonation forms a thick but thin white head. Sunset orange colored body. Smell was faintly of marmalade. Taste was mild, with a smooth malt flavor and just a subtle hint of hops at the end. Mouthfeel was creamy, which is one reason I always enjoy nitro beers. Real low abv could lead to numerous cans being consumed. A light but satisfyingly rich beer to drink.

A: The beer is clear copper in color and has a slight amount of visible carbonation. It poured with a half finger-high creamy white head that has excellent retention properties and consistently left a quarter finger-high head covering the surface.
S: There are light aromas of fruity yeast and pale malts in the nose.
T: The taste is very similar to the smell and also has some hints of bready malts and tea leaves. A slight amount of bitterness is present.
M: It feels light-bodied, creamy and very smooth on the palate with a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: This beer is very sessionable; I would have no problem drinking a few of these in one sitting due to its light body and low alcohol content.

Not sure what to think about this beer.
Looks good when poured. Head is not real thick but it is very creamy almost milk shake like. The color is gold with a hint of orange.
Sweet fruity smell
I'm not sure I've had a beer this low in ABV before and the taste gives the low alcohol away. Fruity in the beginning but not much holding power. It quickly has a watery aftertaste.
There is a thick feel, all the carbonation is stuck to the side of the glass.
If I was choosing a session beer this wouldn't be first on the list, but not last either.

A: Pours a crystal clear amber in color with light amounts of visible carbonation, after the creamy cascade from pouring the nitro-can. The beer has a finger tall creamy light beige head that has great retention properties (less than 10% reduction of the head over the entire drinking of the beer). Significant lacing is observed.
S: A very faint aroma overall to this beer, there is some subtle hints of roasted caramel malts.
T: This beer has a pretty mild flavor but it is very well balanced. There is a nice roasted malt presence with just a subtle bit of caramel sweetness and a grassy hop finish with light bitterness.
M: On the lighter side of medium bodied with light amounts of carbonation. Smooth and extremely creamy.
O: Very refreshing, very light, and very easy to drink. This beer is extremely sessionable and definitely one that I could have many of in a single session. I really enjoy the creaminess and it is just as good as I remember it from nitro-tap when I was in the UK.

16oz tallboy nitro-can.
Look is clear amber, dark with few rising bubbles. Smell is straw, hay, barn, malt. Taste is crisp malts, barley, yeast. Creamy yet thin feel, is smooth but watery. A little hop bitter that comes off as medicinal.
A lot of flavor considering it's 3.6%, but compared to most beer it's just average.

Nitro pour is always cool looking. Creamy - cream colored head, clear amber body. Smells faintly of English yeast. Not the most aromatic beer. Creamy mouthfeel, easy to drink. Nothing offensive or off balanced. Caramel cereal malt flavors. Hardly any bitterness. Fun to drink, highlight is the mouthfeel. Could be that I'm drinking a 3.6% English beer in America, but really no hop presence.

I'm here in the USA, I had this beer once many years ago when I was in England with the US Marines. A few years ago, while living in South Florida, I was able to buy this again, however I moved to Pennsylvania, and I can not find it anywhere. I was searching and found this site tonight, can someone PLEASE send me some info on where I can order this and have it shipped to me? Thank you very much if you can. Jim at fts.wpb@gmail.com

poured from 14.9 ounce can into Guinness pint glass
A - Following the pour, the captivating churning of the carbonation gave way to an inch of rich and creamy eggshell head; deep gold body
S - the only lackluster characteristic was the weak and somewhat sweet aroma; it wasn't bad - it simply wasn't particularly bold
T - ample bitterness to complement a slightly roasted malt flavor
M - light feel with a slippery smooth texture
O - this is a tasty, and very drinkable brew; I will have to look for this style/container more often

Poured unto a pint.
Appearance: Dark brown with a huge off white head rising to at least a full inch off the body. Carbonation aside from the head seems low.
Smell: Have you smelled nothing, well that's how this beer smells like.
Taste: Tastes like raw tea, hate to make this comparison but the beer isn't horrible yet not really that good.
Mouth: light carbonation, very smooth.
Overall: good to have only one will never have again. I hate to bash a beer but looks can be recovering. Can be compared to other like beers but doesn't step to that level. Salud!

Poured out of a 14.9 nitro can into a pint glass.
A) Nice amber, with nearly 2 fingers of creamy, slightly off white head. Great retention on this one. A heavy amount of lacing. This is a very attractive ale.
S) Light grains and malt. A little caramel, light fruit aroma, and some bitterness.
T) This has some bread and light caramel sweetness. There is kind of a sour dough or fresh English muffin to this ale. There is light fruit, somewhat cider like. The bitterness provides a grassy finish.
M) Actually, kind of light, definitely lighter than the appearance led me to believe. This is well carbonated. This is smooth, pretty creamy, and easy to drink.
O) I admittedly enjoy these nitro can English Ales more than most. This one is pretty good. Hell, at 3.6% ABV, I might plan to put back a bunch of these while I watch the Euro 2012 Football Championship. If you like Boddington's and Speckled Hen out of the nitro can, you'll likely enjoy this as well.

Poured into a snifter.
4.5 A: Transluscent orange amber color. Nearly three fingers of dense, creamy off-white head. Retention is as good as it gets and moderate amounts of lacing is left.
3.0 S: Subdued nose from the nitro, but pleasant all the same. Flowery and grassy hops. Neutral malt sweetness with some breadiness and hints of caramel.
3.0 T: Much breadier than the nose suggested. A mild graininess accompanies the breadiness. Grassy and earthy hops again. A touch of caramel. Not bad.
3.0 M: Lighter medium body. Nitro would be better in this is the body was thicker to start. Still, decent creaminess.
3.0 D: Straightforward, average beer. It'd probably be tastier without the nitro.

Poured from a nitro-can into a nonic glass.
A - Light copper color with good clarity. A nice creamy white head.
S - Faintly sweet aroma. Bready and hints of banana, not much else.
T - Light malty flavor. Again, I get hints of the breadiness. A very clean/smooth finish.
M - Low carbonation...very smooth and creamy.
O - This is a really good beer for the style. Definitely could session a few of these.

Poured from the can into a good old English nonic pint glass. This shall do indeed.
A creamy typical nitro looking head, off white in appearance. Body color is a good crystal amber orange, but has some real strange straffing bubbles on the side. Classic lacing while drinking.
Real nice nose. Bread malts, and sweet orange cream, really digging that. Fruity esters, and fun things to be had, almost tapioca smelling. Creamy malts!
Real nice light bodied creamy palate, matching a biscuity dense sweet graham cracker palate. Milk sweet slight, finish with mild orange citrus.
Great tasting, nice looking. Real filling and light bodied, super sessionable. Great beer.

Poured out of a nitro can into a nonic.
Once the beer settles the appearance is a clear medium copper with a thick creamy head courtesy of the nitro pour.
Aroma is very creamy with some pale malt. Really no hops in the nose.
The flavor is also quite creamy with some pale malt and vanilla. A slight bitterness appears toward the finish and lingers. All other flavors fade pretty quickly.
Overall this is a decent English beer but not the best that is out there. Pretty run of the mill. Would like to have it on tap sometime.

Poured from a can into a pint glass.
Look – once it settled down, it was a bit of a dark amber color, with about two fingers’ worth of light khaki-colored foam that dissipates slowly.
Smell – a creamy smell indeed. It almost smells like a cream soda, but only faintly. The smell itself is fairly faint, with a slight bitterness in the end.
Taste – very creamy tasting in general, very smooth. There’s a bitterness throughout, which must of course yield from a hoppy blend, but it’s not so much in the taste.
Mouthfeel – smooth and leaning toward the creamier side.
Overall – interesting in general, but might be appreciated more from a tap.

A dark gold beer clear enough to read the paper through. Nitro widget results in an absurdly creamy white head that looks and tastes like whipped cream. Phenomenal lacing.
Mild aroma is faintly sweet and malty with traditional British-style hop characteristics, mostly bitter. Toasty and bready. Very, very mild; a little bit of grassy hops, a touch of toasty malt.
The flavor finds the simple bitter hops a little more prominent than in the nose but still well-balanced with the bready malt. Extremely creamy but thin-bodied; low carbonation and ABV make this totally drinkable and one of the best true session beers in a can I've had.
Simple, absolutely quaffable, so soft and creamy. Only knocks might be a very faint metallic aroma and aftertaste and a slight overall wateriness. Still, I really enjoyed this beer. Don't be an anti-nitro bigot!

This appears a ruddy brown with a lot of foam. One of those widget cans. Is there any aroma? I’m not picking up on it. Doesn’t bode well for the flavor either—tastes very thin, watery, like its mocking better British beers. There’s a somewhat unwelcome tartness that I didn’t expect nor desire. Not a lot else going on here, and not any reason to try it again.

Aroma
Light roasted malt, not a lot of hop presence. The scent is understated and mild but there, maybe poured a bit cold so may increase.
Mouthfeel
Light creamy presence on the palette. Mid range of carbonation, this had the nitro widget inside also which likely adds to some of the mouthfeel.
Appearance
Light copperish in color, with nitro it results in a nice rather creamy stark white head which is lacing nicely.
Taste
Light bready malt flavor, bit of nutty flavor much lighter than a nut brown. Some residual bitterness but minimal, goldings possibly?
Drinkability
Rather, I would love to see how many I could go through. 3.6% abv, it is meant to be a sessionable beer and it definitely is.
Overall
There's something that really does it for me with this beer. I like the nuance of the aroma and bitterness along with very high drinkability. Might be a bit dull for some, but one of my favorites.
