On tap at the Rock Bottom Atlanta location.
Black in color with a decent tan fluffy head. Nice lacing.
Milky lactose in the nose.
Milky in the first sip followed by burnt, earthy roastiness. A somewhat dirty finish with a thorough coating of the tongue.
A decent beer.

I would think people come to a brewpub for the stout and/or the IPA. Both are winners at this brewpub. It's dark black, it's creamy, chocolately. Yes sweet stout, and decidedly drinakble. Only 4.5% alcohol by weight makes it presentable at lunchtime.

I was at Rock Bottom on St. Patricks day and decided in honor of the occasion to try the stout (not that I really need an excuse to drink stout..)
The beer was served in a 20 oz imperial pint glass and it was almost black with a nice tan head. The aroma was a bit understated, but you could easily pick-up some roasted malt and a yeasty type smell.
The taste was just ok. The toasted malt character was slightly understated and the taste seemed a little sour. The beer was served to cold, but I did let it warm-up and the taste did improve slightly.
The beer was slightly over carbonated and the mouth feel was a little thin. Not a beer I would have again.
