Appearance - very clear, golden; nice 1 finger heads holds up pretty well

Smell - clean, pale grains

Taste - grainy, very nice; medium-dry and moderately bitter, lingering just a little

Mouthfeel - crisp, but not too prickly; light and refreshing, but not thin

Overall - better than average lager, would buy again if it weren't so pricey

Clear golden colour with a small, smooth white head. Decent head retention.

Smooth and nutty pale malt with a distinct caramel note. Mildly fruity and creamy.

Creamy malt with a strange chocolate note. More caramel and lots of rounded malt. Strangely sweet but pleasant.

Medium body with moderate carbonation. Quite thick for a lager but I find this one pleasant.

It was interesting to see the reviews for this after I reviewed it while out. I really quite liked this and think that it is a unique and creative take on a normally dull style.

Bottle into Grolsch pint glass in low altitude Cork, Ireland.

A: One finger head of slight cream, bad thickness, and poor retention. Clear yellow colour.

Sm: Barley, hints of cream, pale hops. Standard lager smell.

T: Creamed barley body with hoppy climax. Nothing special. The cream and hops are a nice effect, adding complexity but not enough. Balanced well, built average for the style.

Mf: Silky smooth and nicely wet. The best part of this beer. Complements the refreshing cream aspect of the flavour. Unfortunately they don't completely match, but it's a favourable juxtaposition.

Dr: Pretty affordable by Irish standards, but not a fantastic beer by any means. It's a refreshing beer for good weather.

Light yellow in color with an average white head. This brew has a moderate malt aroma. Husky barley and grass, mixed with a herbal hop scent...but very faint. The taste is semi-sweet, with a nice bitterness at the finish. Smooth and very clean. The beer is relatively low in carbonation. At times, the mouthfeel seems a little chalky. Otherwise, the mouthfeel is quite empty and watery. Still, not a bad beer at all. The problem is that the flavors are all very muted and subdued. For this reason, it's more or less average. It has some potential, though.
