This is one of my favorite places for beers.
One of the key things that I noticed that all the other reviews did not mention about this place is that YOU CAN BUY A BEER then DRINK IT AT THE TASTING AREA right away! They have wine glasses available for your use. I thought this is what makes this place awesome, you buy at store price and drink there like at the bars!
They have great selections, not as big as VenDome, but very decent.
The staff is very knowledgeable. Michael and Amy are awesome when it comes to recommendations and willingness to assist.
They also have a european style wine dispenser (for the girlfriend/wife) where you pay and try a pour. I wish they had one for beer.
The store is very nice. It feels more like a brewery than just a liquor store.
I love this place!

I visited Red Carpet today since I was in the area. The atmosphere is good with an upscale feel and a selection of wine, liquor, and beer. There is a small tasting area inside the store where you can purchase beer and drink it there if you so wish. Service was good with friendly workers happy to assist me in finding a beer that was not on the shelf. All of their beer is refrigerated and all bottle dates seemed to be current. Selection was very good with a wide range of beer split up by geographic region in its own cooler. Prices were pretty reasonable for all of their beers. Lots of goodies on the shelf that I haven't seen anywhere else before. Overall, this is a pretty great store that I am sure to visit again in the future and I highly recommend stopping in if you are in the general area.

My girlfriend's dad has been coming here for year, so I figured it was time that I went to go check it out. Its a pretty big shop complete with a tasting area. They have about 7 coolers worth of beer and the rest of the store is dedicated to wine and spirits. The staff was really nice and seemed pretty knowledgable, although we didn't have many questions for them.
I was able to pick up Allagash Fluxus, which my roommate had been looking for. They have a pretty good selection and I'd definitely be interested in going back to see what else they get in.

I was recently at red carpet wine while on vacation with my family. Read some reviews about this place so I thought that it looked promising. The stores located in a nice neighborhood with a nice storefront. The inside looks even nicer.
All the beers located inside the glass coolers. They have a great selection of IPAs.. Bear republic, Ballast point, Alpine, Stone, and others which is just what I was looking for. But I was pretty bummed because I could not find any russian river brews. Oh well I thought to myself and proceeded to fill up my bin with 2 bombers each of the above mentioned breweries.
While I was making my selection I was approached by a friendly staff member. He asked me if I needed help finding anything.
I asked him if had any russian river brews. I told him where I was from and that I don't get out to cali that much. He went into the back of the store and came back with a supplication and consercation! Now I have a proper vacation stash of cali beer.
Overall a great stop for anyone seeking quality beer. Especially if your out of town. Very friendly staff . Wish I had a store like this at home.

First and foremost the help staff is very welcoming and immediately invites you to join their email list in a legitimately caring way, not some used car salesman push. I talked shop with Mike for a bit about Bruery releases and forthcoming sours and he was very knowledgeable.
The selection is a cut above most wine stores, better than K&L and I would say equal to Cap and Cork, just different based on your needs. Picked up a bottle of Biere De Mars, great lambic selection, mikkleller has it's fair share of representation as well. The SD local scene was a bit underrepresented but still a solid stable for favorites like Sculpin and a bevy of Stone products
I will return, particularly if this email list is as fruitful as represented. Sipping on a 1000 IBU right now to their credit, keep up the good work.

Red Carpet is not in my immediate area, but I do my best to make it a point to stop in when I'm in the area, on the way somewhere nearby, or coming back from somewhere that puts me within distance of Red Carpet.
Good quality, prices, and rotating selection of beer, (though could be a bit better) and they also of course have a good selection of wines and spirits (check out some of the whiskies if your interested)
They will set aside bottles of some things if you call ahead, and have a good email/newsletter list as well of new releases in stock too.
Also, the 95% of their beer selection is refrigerated too, which is a great plus as well.
Michael is the beer guy. Funny recent story too, ran into Michael at the CoLAboration/TDA 1st anniversary fest, which was ironic, since I was going to Red Carpet afterwards to get some Pliney the Elder for a trade, had I known he'd be there, I'd just ask if he could bring it (not sure if he would have, but anyhow)
Great spot if you live locally, or are on the look out for new releases.

Visited here on 2011-03-26.
Stopped in because I'd read they had a fresh batch of Hair of the Dog's Blue Dot DIPA. Called ahead and they graciously set a couple of bottles aside for me.
The building was easy to find and they have their own parking lot. The store features more wine than beer, but their beer coolers held an impressive collection of brews. I'd be happy if this selection was available in a bottle shop near me in Pennsylvania.
After giving me some time to browse the selection, a very helpful and knowledgeable fellow chatted me up about my preferences.
For those so-inclinded, there is a walk-in cigar humidor with a good-but-pricey selection.
Thumbs up for a friendly store with a good craft beer selection!

Great stop on my last day in town. Went in to grab just a couple bottles to toss in my luggage since I had some lbs to spare, and ended up talking to one of the salespeople (Miles) for nearly 30 mins. Very knowledgable about beer, despite being primarily a wine store. I definitely had fun pacing up and down the aisle of beer coolers trying to decide what 3 bombers to bring back to Wisco with me. Then had a nice chat with Michael about the beer selection and what upcoming beers would be available to ship home with me. Needless to say, a place I would stop again, just for the friendly service.

This is one of my go to places for good beers. If you are an avid beer collector/drinker get to know Michael and get on his e-mail list. He will inform you of special beers coming in that aren't on the shelf.
Some bottles that I have gotten from here recently include Infinium, Bitches Brew, Sculpin, Beast, and Fluxus 10 just to name a few.
If beer is not your forte, they sell an assortment of wines and spirits and have a cigar section as well. As mentioned before, you can purchase beers or wine and enjoy them in the wine area. They also have various tastings throughout the year.

Great place, they have email listings.
Price is slightly more than Bevmo, but not by much, they have a higher quality selection than anywhere else in Glendale and neighboring areas. All of their beer is refrigerated as well.
Good service, and helpful people.
They also carry other goods, they are primarily a wine place, but they also have cigars, and hard liquors in addition to beer.
They also do wine/beer tastings occasionally throughout each month, which is a good way to expand your knowledge about alcohol.
edit: They now have a license to serve liquor in the store.
Buy beer from the store and have it in the store, glassware to grab. Pay liquor store prices and enjoy a beer or wine. They also now have cheese plates, a wine tap, and about 6 beers on draft.
The owners are very friendly and occassionally give out free samples. Everyone is is very knowledgable as well.
