Easy to find when walking down from the Station along Luitpoldstrasse: as you reach the junction with Obere Konigsstrasse, look left and you can see the Weissbierhaus, look right and you can see Spezial and Fassla opposite, so all three close at hand before reaching the old town centre!
The usual dark wood panelling, double room with bar in one, and several tables. We had the always excellent Maisels Hefe Weiss, though served in a Bamberger Weissbier glass, I guess unique to the brewery tap. We arrived here at about 1.45pm on a Wednesday, and had to drink up quick as they close the doors at 2, but showed us a way out through the kitchens!
Definately worth a visit and probably a bit quieter than the more famous Fassla and Spezial further along the street, but get there well before 2pm weekdays!

The Bamberger Weissbierhaus is a tap room for the Maisel brewery. It is a traditional style pub, with dark panelled walls, pine tables, etc. The St. Michaelsberg Dunkel and Maisel Pils are on draft with the rest of the Maisel range available in bottles. Unfortunately my favorite Maisel beer, the Kellerbier, is only available in bottles. (Since the pub on Michaelsberg has closed, finding a fresh Maisel Kellerbier is becoming hard work!)
The good news about the Weissbierhaus is that it is just a couple of blocks from both Brauerei Spezial and Brauerei Fässla, so if you are short on time there is no need to trek out to the brewery.
The food, as in most of Bamberg breweries and tap rooms, is good. They also have reasonably priced hotel rooms.(I have not stayed there but friends who have stay said they would stay again.)
The Weissbierhaus is closed on Sunday and during the week closes for a few hours in the afternoon.
