An aggressive pour still only yields a light fizzy head covering that fades fairly quickly and forgets to leave lacing, over a semi hazy nectar darker orange colored beer.

NOse is a little weird, it has some saison aromas, light wheat like and almost hay malts, hint of saison spices, but quickly turns to fruity aromas, blood orange, little fruit punch, clementine, strawberries actually kinda fresh, a light rhubarb too, but it has a syrupy fruit syrup like aroma as well which gives it that candy like.

Taste brings tons of strawberry, fresh strawberry, a little juice, again syrupy strawberry candy, a light tart bitter rhubarb, fairly fruity, a light clementine citrus again I think from the saison this time, light saison spices which actually go well with the fruit and the bitter tangy rhubarb, light wheat and malts, fluffy, and a light but decent bitterness I think mostly from the rhubarb. Finish is a bit sweet and sticky, little syrupy still, more candy flavors, a little fruit but that mostly dries up, little strawberry syrup sticks to the sides of the mouth.

Mouth is med to lighter bodied, little sticky and syrupy, carb on the lighter side.

Overall OK, I hate to say it but more of a "girly" like beer. It has some nice flavors, but they seemed to get sweet and more candy like for the fruits. The rhubarb adds a nice interesting bitterness and some tangy flavors, but not much, and the saison is mostly gone if it was there to begin with. However, still not a bad beer.

12oz bottle poured into a tulip. Reviewed from notes.

A: Pours a clear amber/orange. Large particles in suspension. Head formation and retention is awful. Just a few whispy patches of lacing.

S: Fragrant with a strawberry-banana scent. Subtle orange peel. Shortbread. Touch of vague spice and some tropical ester. Ghost-like tartness. Cleaner than the average saison.

T: Spicy up front with tastes of cinnamon, coriander, and pepper. Strawberry-banana, orange marmalade. Shortbread and a hint of toast. Hop oils are briefly encountered. Finishes with a strawberry shortcake impression and a lingering peppery spice.

M: Light to medium bodied. Very bright and crisp with an aggressive carbonation. Creamy.

O: Really not saison-esque in the least, the yeast is far too neutral for that. If you can get past the fact that it isn't a saison, it's a decent beer. The strawberries really pop, and its crisp, refreshing properties mean that it will hit the spot on a summer scorcher.

Drank from a 12fl.oz. bottle at Blue Lobster Grille, Rockport, MA
Served in a pint glass

The beer poured a hazy, medium amber color and was topped by a fleeting crown of thin, light tan foam.

Strawberry notes dominated the aroma. I could hardly pick up anything else. Touch of sweet malts. Slightly wheaty.

The flavor profile was quite strawberry forward as well, yet it was definitely more complex than the nose. Strawberry notes melded with sweet malts on the front end. The sweetness faded in the center and the saison-like qualities came forth. Belgian yeast notes were apparent. Lots of orange peel. The finish was spicy, lemony and tart, and it contained notes of husky grains.

The mouthfeel was pretty ordinary. Medium bodied with a moderate effervescence.

Although this beer seems a bit hokey, it is still flavorful and immensely drinkable. This would definitely hit the spot on a hot summer day.

A: Pours a light golden color with a hint of amber with a 1-inch soapy head which quickly dissipates to a 1/4 inch head.

S: Aroma flows right out of the glass and is event more intense when you put your nose to it. I get some tropical fruit scent with strawberry, a little banana, apricot, and some wheat. A light flowery scent as well.

T: Similar to the smell with the Strawberry and banana. Also has a combination of hop sweetness and bitterness. Belgian yeast and malts follow the tropical flavor of this beer.

M: The mouth feel is more tropical than floral for a Saison. Moderate carbonation and quite drinkable.

O: This is a little twist on the style and is the first Fishermans beer I have had. I like Saisons and would say that this is a pretty good experimental beer.

Had on tap at the New World Tavern Plymouth, MA

Appearance: minimal head, orange-brown in color, cloudy, low carbonation

Smell: strawberries and hay

Taste: big strawberries at the start--light rhubarb and hay, then a big wheaty middle, light pepper and Belgian spices at the end.

Mouthfeel: light carbonation, medium-light bodied, slightly sweet and funky

Overall: A pleasant and different take on the saison style. Almost like a strawberry wheat crossed a saison. I really like this. Could not drink it all day, but very refreshing.

a: pours a slightly hazy golden amber color with half finger white foamy head that doesn't stick around too long. Not quite the hazy straw yellow I expect with a saison but I don't mind that.

s: dried apricots, malt, saison yeast, not much hop aroma to speak of

t: malt sweetness up front, then apricot and peach dominate with a bitter, dry finish and some breadiness as well

m: light to medium mouthfeel with good carbonation

o: a solid saison, unlike any I've had. I really enjoy the strong apricot notes.
