On tap served in a Hoegaarden pint glass at the Belgian Beer Fest @ K Village, Bangkok, Thailand.

A:
Pink in color blends with some ruddy, orange hues, natural cloudy showcase with thick velvety head withal excellent retention, a head is not totally white but slight tinges with raspberry hue. Many clusters of lacing patch left once it dissipated.

S:
Raspberries dominant mingle with fruity esters, some spice from clove and coriander, a bit citrus.

T:
Also dominant by raspberries sweetness with aid from fruit estery, citrus zesty. Hop bitterness is almost unnoticeable.

M:
The body is medium, smooth with proper crispness but not as refreshing as its original wheat beer.

O:
Like attenuating version of the original Hoegaarden that rarefies some characters and bring the added fruit portion upfront. Anyway, still an easy and enjoyable drink.

Bottle at Meneer Nilsson, Amsterdam, Netherlands

A: The beer is hazy rosé in color and has a light amount of carbonation. It poured with a thin whit head that died down and left a thin collar around the edge of the glass.
S: Moderate aromas of sweet raspberries are present in the nose.
T: Lie the smell, the taste is rather sweet and has flavors of raspberries-but of the artificial syrup type.
M: It feels light-bodied on the palate and has a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: This beer is easy to drink and somewhat refreshing but the sweetness prevents it from being thirst quenching.

Colour is hazy deep pink (or light red? I don't know, I'm a man) with medium head that disappears fast. Aroma is fruity.

Taste followes aroma, quite artificial though. Lightly carbonated, as much as an carbonated Ice-Tea, or lemonade

Nothing special but if it's too early in the morning or another occasion where you shouldn't drink beer, that can save you the troubles

I should preface this review by saying that if it wasn't for Hoegaarden being the first beer I had that wasn't an adjunct lager, I probably wouldn't be reviewing this. Poured from a goofy pink mini can into a cheap wine glass...

A - Pours a hazy salmon color with a big fluffy pinkish-white head, that fizzles away after a minute or two. I really have to express my dislike with the packaging as well. Four packs of pink mini cans? I wonder what the target demographic here could be...

S - I don't even have to get in close to detect the stench. The aroma of steamed vegetables and cheap grains wafts up form the glass immediately following the pour. There is no real malt, and certainly no hop bouquet to be found, which is fine, but I don't even smell wheat or raspberry either. Terrible stink to this one.

T - Mild based of cheap adjuncts, with no real fruit or beer-like flavors beyond that, aside from maybe a touch of wheat. It's not just sweet, it's sugary. HFCS is present for sure... Honestly reading the ingredients on the side of the can is embarrassing. Concentrated fruit juice? Invert sugar? Acesulfame-potassium!? Is this even beer?

M - Light body, fizzy, inoffensive at best I guess.

D - I didn't exactly have high expectations coming in, and honestly this isn't even horrible, it's just not beer. This is certainly more akin to a soda than a beer. I don't hate it, but this is a joke of craft beer, and Hoegaarden should be embarrassed.

250ml can, 3% ABV, a single (dubbed 'Rosée' here) procured for a twoonie and a loonie (how could I pass that up?) at the best new liquor store in my formerly remote-seeming home town. Oh, and only 90 calories for all you concerned with your overindulgence over the past month. Me, I'm still at it.

This beer pours a cloudy, muddled pinkish-orange colour, with one finger of limply foamy dishwater beige head, which leaves a few instances of bleeding sandbar lace around the glass as it hastily fades away.

It smells predominantly of semi-sweet green raspberries, some musty leafiness, a further blended, tart fruity character, a very soft wheaty graininess, and flinty, plastic, sugary notes. The taste is rather sweet raspberry, strawberry, and apple puree, another sort of alien metallic sugar essence, faint grainy wheat malt, some untethered acidic citrus, and very little, if any, hop offset.

The bubbles are rather sedate, the body a sugar-enhanced medium weight, and kind of pithy, but smooth enough, I suppose. It finishes still sweet - mixed-berry fruit, fake sugar - and little else.

While not all that offensive - it's really just a slightly malty fruit beverage- it's the various soda-pop manufacturing tactics so evident in the list of ingredients that put me off the most. A patently unnecessary dumbing down of a more or less venerable witbier name.

A: The color is deep pink and the liquid is murky. The tall light pink creamy head dissipates slowly into rather nice lacings.

S: Rich fruityness; raspberries galore! Sweet wheat gives it a ripe banana smell.

T: Sweet malt and wheat, ripe bananas. The raspberries are overpowering everything else.

M: Sour aftertaste, but also a bit sweet. Body is light and carbonation moderate.

O: An interesting Wit with a lot of raspberries.

nose: reminds me strongly of rice pudding (which I used to like in my youth), my girlfriend (at the end this is a girly beer) calls it a rubber smell

taste: I would think a red bull dilated with water and paired with some lemon zest would taste close to this ... my gf's view is 'synthetic lemonade' ...
