Neon Johnny's is a really nice find on the NW side of Indy. Fairly dimly lit interior with a lot of bar memorabilia on the walls. Good sized bar with seating for 15 or so people. They have quite a few widescreen TV's and always have a game or two on to watch.
Food is really good. They have multiple plaques proclaiming they have Indianapolis' best pizza, awarded by a local newspaper. If you like deep dish pizza, it is fantastic and reasonably priced. They also have a good selection of appetizers and sandwhiches.
The beer selection is above average for Indianapolis. They have about 15 or so taps. With the exclusion of the standard macro-brews, they usually have some very interesting stuff on tap. Hoegaarden is almost always available, some Bell's, Pyramid, etc. They also have a decent selection in bottle, and full liquor selection.
In the summer months you can sit outside on the patio. Unfortunately the patio is basically the walkway between the parking lot and the front door, so the view isn't much to talk about, but it is a nice option.
All in all, one of my favorite places to meet friends. Friday nights they have a special on draught beer, all pints $2.75 and that is when I usually try to get out there. Definitely worth checking out if you live in Indy.

Neon Johnny's is a sports bar on the northwest side of Indianapolis. The bar is in a strip mall, but the interior is pretty nice.
Selection isn't amazing, but they do have some decent regional selections as well as one or two hard to get beers on tap. I managed to find Sierra Nevada Harvest Ale for the first time here, and they have a few beers from Bells, Upland, etc.
The service is friendly if not terribly prompt, and the food is fairly standard fare. Not a bad place to go for a beer or two while watching the game.
