One of a chain of pubs in Regina and Saskatoon.
Located in a strip mall on the west end of the city. Not alot of parking and not easily visible either. If I wasn't familiar with the city, I could have easily missed it. Inside, it looks like at one time it was fairly nice when it was new, but now it's run down and dingy. There's a room with pool tables that looks like it was an afterthought and doesn't seem to really mesh with the rest of the pub. The phallic shaped bar is worth a chuckle. There's also an old blue collar after work club type atmosphere about it: photos of patrons on a corkboard titled "good times at clark's"; handwritten signs on paper posted on the wall. Decidedly un-classy.
The quality of the beer can best be summed up by saying this. None of the regulars were drinking the house beers. I was the only one with one of their mugs in my hand. Not terrible, but not very good either, the house beers were watery and bland. Similar to the rest of the pubs in this chain. See reviews for more info.
I sat at the bar and was served promptly by the friendly bartender. She didn't seem to know much about beer though, as I asked, "What's a Steamer? Sounds like something from a coffee shop." She replied, "It's just one of our own beers we brew here." I asked, "Why kind of beer is it?" and she said, "Uh.. would you like a sample?" I had hoped she could have said that it was a Steam beer or a lager or something, but other than that service was ok.
Small selection of beers. 4 House beers on-tap and then nothing but macros with some macro-imports (corona, heineken, etc) and a couple of mid-size brewers (big rock, great western) in bottles.
I didn't have any food, but the menu was full of your typical pub grub with reasonable prices.
All-in-all, a disappointing experience. Not worth going out of your way for. In fact, even if it wasn't out of you way, I'd recommend going somewhere else.

They had a wide front with the entryway slightly left of center. Coming in, their varnished dark-wood bar was in the same club-like shape as Maquire's on a left oblique. Booths lined the left wall, under the stained glass of 2-row barley. Ha! Off to the right were a bunch of standard restaurant tables and chairs, followed by a projection screen, a gaming area, and culminating the off-sale shop. The lavs were on a right oblique headed aft. Aft of the bar were a couple of high, round tables with high chairs, followed by a few tables and chairs fronting a line of upholstered benches. Further aft, through a doorway, were two green-felt pool tables. Service was lackadaisical, at best, and it took forever for my server to pour me a beer.
Beer: Steamer; Harvest Wheat; Bridge City Brown; Prairie Pilsner.
I began with the Pilsner, which was so sulfurous as to make me wonder if a boiled egg had been added to the fermentation process. Oof! They were out of Steamer.
Harvest Wheat: Still slightly sulfurous.
Frankly, this was a place to avoid. The beer sucked, the service blew and the aesthetics swallowed. Is there a quantifiable number less than 1? Rubbish! Better burnt to the ground and starting over.
Price vs. What I Got = Gimme my money back, plus bus fare home, plus something for my troubles, ya ... !
