The Last Straw is located in the north central part of Regina and is really one of the only pubs in the area. Definitely the only brewpub in that area. Opened in the early 90's, it's one of the first of a chain of local brewpubs. They have a small parking lot and parking can be a bit of a pain on friday and saturday nights. There is street parking available nearby, but you might need to walk a block or two.

Inside, it's a pub/lounge type atmosphere with booths, tables, bar stools and a nice sized deck. Pool tables, video games, Video Lottery Terminals (VLTs) and a few tvs for your entertainment. Usually quite busy on fridays and saturdays.

The quality of their own beers is average to sub-standard. Their goal isn't to produce high quality brews, but rather to produce beers that are un-offensive and can be consumed in mass quantities.

The selection of beer is really limited. Other than their house beers, Molson and Labatts, you can find limited selections of Great Western, Big Rock and Sleemans, as well as the usual macro-imports (corona, heineken, etc). Not much to see here.

Service is generally pretty good, but if you come on the weekend, expect your wait-person to be run off their feet and perhaps a little too busy to be overly friendly. Servers knowledge of beer is limited since their selection is also limited.

Menu is typical "pub grub" and is fairly average in quality and cost.

An attached cold beer and wine store is well stocked and has a decent selection of macros, larger micros and regionals (Molson, Labatts, GW, Big Rock, Sleeman).
