16.9 oz bottle with code, poured into a SA Perfect Pint
A - Clear golden color with a good two fingers worth of bright white head. Retention settles to a skim, decent lacing.
S - Very soft nose; lightly floral, lightly grainy.
T&M - This one has a very German/Austrian hop profile; lot's of spicy hops in the flavor with the signature coarseness in feel that can sometimes be found in these types of pils. Golden malts are present mostly in the finish, and seem to have some difficulty standing up to the hop bill.
O - Not bad...very German. I typically prefer the more floral and soft pils I can find stateside, but this is a nice change of pace. Worth experiencing, but nothing that's going to send you running for more.

Picked this up at Top Hops last week, not having a Pilsener in a long time and never having a beer from Stieglbrauerei before. I almost thought that this was a European Light Lager when I saw the green bottle but thankfully, this was much more solid, normal-smelling, and easier to enjoy than any beer of that style and this turned out to be a great example of how crisp and hopped a good Pils should be!
The pour to this was a nearly-clear straw hue with a moderate amount of head and just a bit of lacing. Not a lot of aroma here but the taste more than made up for it. Lots of grass, straw, and lemon with a bit of sourness in the back. Somewhat bready but not as full as a Dortmunder or as starchy as a Macro Lager or mass-market beer, but the finish was crisp without being cloying.
I never considered a beer of this style to be one for a long session but this would have fit that bill perfectly. The carbonation was just right and there was just enough of a floral and earthy feel to this to keep it light while never feeling watered-down. This was a great example of the style and maybe the best beer that I've had out of a green bottle in quite a long time.

A-Pours a straw color with a fizzy white head that dissipates quickly leaving a thin layer of foam.
S-skunky, malty, grassy-like Noble hops
T-Grassy hops (Noble) and some caramel, with a skunky flavor to it.
M-Nicely carbonated, but more on the creamy side.
D-Very drinkable as the flavor is good and it is quite refreshing.
Overally, this is a solid German Pilsener that I would recommend others trying.

Can't get very much more classic than this iteration of a German Pilsner. Tons of head & lace.
Grassy and sort of a clingy mouthfeel; I thought the nose was a little catty, but nothing that would put me off it. So much better than the Grolsch-Heineken business that too often overshadows this stuff.

Half liter poured into pokal.
Light amber body, vigorous carbonation!
Two finger off white head
Smells of wet grain, and lager yeast
Tastes: grassy, herbal, lemon, and a bitter sharp finish
Mouthfeel is moderate
Overall, this is a pilsner worth seeking out and having in your fridge. Buy some today!!

A- pale gold with a fluffy white head. Head retention is good, and lacing is inconsistent. Lacing improves once the head has receded a bit.
S- grassy, biscuity. floral hops.
T- Bready malt with a sharp hop bitterness. The finish is off-dry with the aforementioned hop bitterness.
M- Light and refreshing. Carbonation is light and prickly.
O- It's a nice representation of the style
