It's interesting that this beer is catacgorized as an American IPA... I'm judging this as an EIPA so, just know that...

A-Pours an almost clear deep golden color with a cream/fluffy white head that has good retention and very good lacing.

S-The aroma is full of fruity, the reason I said that it's interesting that it's catagorized as an American IPA because all I get is English hops. Fuggles fo sho! If this was labled as an EIPA I would be very pleased with it. Woody hops are in the front with a fruity background.

T-The flavor is hoppy fo sho with woody/earthy and resonous hops and a soft caramel clean bitter finish.

M-The mouthfeel is crisp yet creamy at the same time. Has a clean bitter finish too. Medium body.

D-This beer is pretty sessoinable. I suggest this beer to any hop lover.

From notes 10/31/11: Pours a deep gold producing a nice white head and webby, sticky lacing. Aroma is citrus and pine hops, spice and caramel malt. Taste is hop dominant pine and citrus with a malt sweetness throughout the sip. Faintly dry/bitter finish and aftertaste. Very drinkable.

Highland has announced they are retiring this IPA, which just doesn't stand up against most IPAs. There will be a release party on 12/31/15 for "Highland IPA" which is replacing it, a west style IPA.

True to the style, it does not slap you up sideways like American or PNW IPAs. Malty and crisp, it has a light mouthfeel and easy drinking for a hophead. I'd buy it again, and probably will next time I'm in Tennessee.

12-oz bottle into Belgian ale glass

A - 2 fingers of white suds over a cloudy body of gold; moderate visible carbonation; decent lace

S - floral, citrus, biscuity malts

T - tropical fruits, citrus, pine, grass, herbal, biscuity malt backbone; pretty well-balanced

M - smooth creamy medium body, medium carbonation

O - Kashmir is an ok IPA.
