500 mL bottle. Mug.

A: Light copper pour with a half-finger of head that is gone in a flash.

S: Tons of bready flavors, a little bit of metallic aroma, and some berry notes.

T: Rye, dry dough, tin, some tangy flavors, and a berry finish.

M: Medium-light body with a little creaminess.

O: This is easy to drink and hearty. It's very good with a meal.

Pint from JDW real ale festival. Amber colour, cleared after initial haze rose, one finger head, good retention. Aroma was faint hop and yeast. Bitter taste, notes of malt and cranberry. Finish long and wheaty. Thin texture, carbonation gave it a coarse edge. Overall slightly too strong to session and lacking character, ok but forgetable.

A - pale golden and clear with a thin frothy head
S - very faint sweet grassy notes
T - caramel, biscuit with a healthy grassy hop farewell
M - light bodied and moderately carbonated
O - a very average pale ale. Nothing offensive but nothing to write home about either

My wife picked this up for me from her work I think.

Appearance- slightly amber color, nice sized head, nice lacing

Smell- lots of grains and malt

Taste- grains, slight bit of apple

Mouthfeel- lighter end of medium bodied

Drinkability- Pretty good, I like the lip on the bottle for pouring.

Poured into a snifter.

3.0 A: Fucker gushed on me despite having a reasonable carbonation level. Didn't shake it up at all. Weird. Lightly hazed orange-amber-brown color. Two fingers of frothy off-white head. Retention isn't too great and small touches of lacing are left.

4.0 S: The barley, rye, and oats come through well. The wheat is a bit harder to find. Large mineral component. Spicy earthiness from the rye and supple graininess from the oats. This combination is unique for me and I rather like it. Strong lemongrass and pear fruitiness.

3.5 T: The taste, while still good, isn't as exciting as the nose. The individuals mesh a little too well and are softened. Still earthy and spicy with the mineral component. Pear and ripe apple fruits. Lemongrass herbalness.

3.5 M: Lighter medium body. Good moderate carbonation. Lightly creamy. Not bad here.

3.5 D: Decent brew with a lovely nose. Easy enough to drink.

A teensy bit of yeast swirled into the pour. A Guinness pint glass full of iced tea colored beer and a bright white head. Prevalent spidery lacing. Lots of frozen bubbles on the surface. 3.5

Loads and loads of grains in the nose. Musty malts with an apple fruitiness. Maybe a little red grape. Some wheat present, but not much detectable rye. Clay earthiness. Toasted qualities. 3.5

Sugary toasted grains with a frosted whole-grain cereal vibe. More apple, quince, and red grape fruit notes. Lovely tangy finish. Nuances of Angostura Bitters, sweet vermouth, and tea leaf. The tea has got to be the hops. Malty and juicy. 4.0

Slick body with a slight stickiness. Medium carbonation. Low ABV + big flavor = 'sucking it back'. 4.0

Happy that my girlfriend insisted on picking this up, even though she's not enjoying her share. I'm cleaning up on the rest of the glass. A nice fruity English Pale. 4.0

Poured from 500mL bottle into a pint glass.

Appearance: nice orange hue with a tiny hint of haze and a very light effervescence. Head is a thin finger of frothy ivory foam.

Smell: sweet malt aroma with a lot of caramel character plus a light fruitiness. An interesting blend, though rather mild.

Taste: sweet malt with some caramel character and more of that difficult-to-describe fruitiness from the aroma. I feel that this combination works better in the flavor than the aroma. This is an interesting beer.

Mouthfeel: medium body with a light and somewhat rocky carbonation. Not too bad.

Overall: this beer is growing on me. Its slightly unconventional flavor makes it an interesting and rewarding beer to quaff.

Poured from a 500ml bottle into a pint glass.

A- a tiny bit of a gusher straight out of the bottle. relatively careful pour, a golden yellow, surprisingly after the initial gush there is very little head. just a whisper that quickly subsides to none. Meh.

S- really grainy upfront, a touch spicy which i guess is the rye, and fruity (wheat), some herbaly hop near the end. smells okay.

T- grainy and malty straight up, a touch on the sweeter side, touch of rye spice in there as well, there is not too much on the hop side, just rounding everything out with a slight bitterness. a bit meh.

M- lighter to mid bodied, not much in the way of carbonation, bitterish finish which lingers. not to bad.

O- not a bad beer, but a bit meh to me. nothing unpleasant just a touch lackluster.

I bought this out of curiosity not expecting much I figured it would be like cheerios fermented.

poured a good looking pale amber pint with a decent white head.

A sourdough taste prevails so not that far off lol

I can't get the hop taste, just off cheerios.

looks good though.

This bottle was about a year old so there was not surprise the hops and carbonation had fallen a bit. Still, I liked it more than I expected I would. There was little head on this beer and the nose was all malt. Dark yellow corn color. Very mellow tasting and malty, not as sweet as I'd expected after reading some other reviews of this beer. Medium full mouthfeel, pretty drinkable at a low ABV. The lower carbonation keeps the bloating in check as well. Not bad, worth a shot if you can find it cheap.

(Served in a nonic)

A- This beer pours an aged copper crystal clear body with a bubbly oatmeal head that fades to a creamy film.

S- The apricot hops have a touch of green hops to them but are very mild.

T- The juicy apricot fruity hop flavor is followed by a pale malt that offers just a touch of sweetness before the dry finish.

M- The medium-light mouthfeel had a soft fizz note that help dry out the finish a bit.

O- The juicy fruity hops were very pleasant with a good gentle support from the pale malt.

A-Pours clear chestnut amber without much head to speak of, just a thin ring of brilliant white bubbles.

S-Pale, sweet malts. An aroma reminiscent of American adjunct lagers. One dimensional.

T/M-Grainy sweetness rolls off the tongue and coats the palate from the first sip. The mouth feel is this beer's greatest attribute. Soft and yielding with delicate effervescent carbonation, it leaves a thin sugary film as it departs down the back of the throat. Understated dry hoppiness hits mid-palate, but never really amounts to anything.

O-Could use a bit more of a hop profile to balance out some of the excessive sweetness. Otherwise, not bad at all.

Pours a slightly cloudy, burnished gold with a somewhat slight head. Smells toasty with some light buttery notes , and some lightly metallic yeast notes in the background. Pleasant enough. The taste, however, is a bit of a shock. Far too sweet in my opinion. There is a sweet, buttery, graininess that sort of dominates everything else- almost sugary. There are some grainy, bready notes as well, but frankly they get lost in the sweet mess. Quite disappointing, I was expecting more.

Tan-tinged gold with fast-fading loose white head that leaves a crusty rim. Buttered, er, multi-grain toast nose. Cut hay and granola with some apple followed by woody hops with some dried orange peel. Fruit comes out as it warms. Spiced pear finish and compote linger. Medium, prickly, greasy.

Malts are sure there, but I don't get much rye spice or oat smoothness (though there's some wheaty creaminess) in which case, what's the selling point? Some subtle fruit, though, that makes it worthwhile. Pleasantly slightly-above-average bitter.
