Bottle from the local bottle shop. Pours a hazy organge color with a nice lacing. The smell is very fruity (mainly oranges and apples), yeast but also some honey sweetness. The taste is sweetish, with some spicy aftertaste. Medium mouthfeel and high carbonation, but very easy to drink. Nice work.

330 ml bottle, as Deugniet. Poured into my trusted tulip glass. ABV 7,5%.
Pale orange golden on the body, slighty hazy. On top of it two fingers of snow white head, soapy in texture with average retention. Light lacing around the glass.
Lots of citrus on the aroma, nice and refreshing. Some banana bread and bubblegum too.
Taste follows the aroma with a ton of citrus fruits, aome green apples on the background and a slighty bitter, hoppy aftertaste.
Medium body, lots of carbonation. Very dry on the palate.
Overall a very nice, refreshing beer.

Poured from the bottle into a tulip glass.
Hardly any head forms on this beer with a real nice display of white thin carbonation all around the glass, pinstripes and all. Body color is FILLED with yeast chunks all around, it's like a lava lamp practically and I did not aggressively pour this at all. Body color is a real nice amber bronze/red.
Nose is an interesting kick of cinnamon, classic sugar tripel sweetness, and some dry punchy yeast. Pretty neat, I like this cinnamon angle, never experienced that before on a tripel.
Taste is kind of muted, a slight anise quality but hard to notice. Somewhat flat, and strangely doesn't feel as carbonated as one would expect from the appearance. Slightly watery, not much density, but a good finish and taste, but also some alcohol and dry heat.
Overall not too bad. Bottles says brewed with coriander (I never smell coriander on any brew), licorice (ok..) and orange skin (not getting that so much). Regardless how these flavors might be not as apparant to me, they still make for a passable tripel for tasting.

poured from 750mL into a chalice. Pours a lighter gold color with a smaller head. A bit too light in color actually
nice and creamy aromas of citrus, honey, some malts, and a touch of florals
medium bodied with a nice feel, but lacking a bit. Smooth with flavors of honey, creams, and citrus
a solid tripel. Lacking a bit on both the smell and feel, but a very drinkable beer. Sadly there are better tripels that are around the price though

Great drinkable beer. Very soft, but nice alcohol keeps the tension. Is there Corsendonk yeast in it?
L: good top, could last a little longer? Golden colour.
S: grandma's apple pie! Vanilla, bread, cinnamon, raisins, butter: exactly the same recipe plus some malts.
T: soft, almost no bitterness, in line with the smell.
M: if it would have a little bitterness and extra body it would be a 5. Lovely though.
O: I love this beer.

T: Follows the nose: very fruity and yeasty. Bready. Spicy. Mild sweetness. Very light on hops. Very light bitterness. Very good balance
M: Medium and creamy body. Medium carbonation. Mild sweet aftertaste
O: Delicious Belgian triple beer

Nice fluffy pale head about 2cm thick. A light amber with a slight hint of haziness.
Some fresh bread smells from the yeast and also some other sweet aromas possibly honey. Also some light fruity notes apple and/or pear.
Some initial sweet honey caramel for me, but then a stronger spiced taste comes through. I got a sense of licorice on the after taste.
Lightly carbonated and a very smooth feel to the mouth. Washes around the palette nicely to get the full flavour.
Overall a pleasing beer. But not Belgium’s finest.

A little concerned with the court jester on the bottle, but picked it up anyway. Poured a golden color, minimal head, but good lacing.
Aroma was fruity, with oranges being the strongest.
Tasted good after the first swallow, which was extremely strong of oranges. The rest of the bottle was much more balanced.
Felt good in the mouth, enjoyed this while doing a jigsaw puzzle.
Overall a nice beer, but not much to cause you to reach past other beers to grab this one.

Brasserie Du Bocq Triple Moine, am I the only one who sees the label stating "Belgian beer" on the bottle a redundant exercise? No? Well on to the review then... smart-ass.
Poured from a 650ml (I think? No indication found) bottle into an Ikea wine glass that resembles a Belgian beer chalice.
A: Hazy pale orange body. There's a non-existent head (which I'm guessing was white), nothing out of the ordinary from the heavy hitting brews as I've found.
S: Nothing really hits me straight away (which was what I was expecting from a beer with this ABV). It's very light but it seems to be a mixture of wheat beer aromas: banana and clove esters with a slight bubble-gum tinge, and crisp pear (???)... quite pleasant nonetheless.
T: Very subdued for the ABV. Also this is the first triple I've drunk/reviewed and I was expecting a shear cliff-wall of flavour. Apart from that there is a subtle balance at play here - crisp pears mixed with light fruity hops that are mildly spicy (think Saaz, but not quite as spicy), mid palate honey (which I suspect gets bolder as it gets warmer) and a Martini dry finish... in fact I could quite easily see this drunk out of a Martini glass with an olive garnish in some trendy upscale beer *cough*wankerish* garden.
M: Again this beer surprises in how light it is. It's as if the brewers thought "Let's make a beer that will get people the maximum alcohol content without slapping them in the face"... i.e. get them drunk fast. Well its certainly succeeded in that respect, but as far as the body goes its balance is medium (bordering on light) with a dense medium carbonation at play.
D: If I owned a yacht (type: "Maltese Falcon Yacht" into Google) this would be the "light" flavoured beer I would have in my fridge to convince my (ignorant) spirit drinking friends into drinking beer. Otherwise it is a decent drop that has obviously been well cared for but is lacking the strength of character I was expecting from a Triple. Very drinkable but the question becomes are we drinking for the experience, or are we drinking to get drunk?
Food match: This brew would well suit the well refined but hearty foods you find in most modern Brasserie's, in fact it was likely defined with this in mind; braised meat and roasted vegetables with baguette.

Purchased as part of an order from the Adelaide Bier Shop.
Pours a hazed and rather pleasantly bright golden colour, with an initially frothy head of white, that collapses to a manageable size. Some lacing, but not a lot. Looks decent enough.
Nose is quite smooth, but rustic with those classic slightly raw Belgian yeast characters. Some sweet esters of crushed vegetation and a roundness. Rather pleasant. Maybe not as complex as some Belgian examples, but good nonetheless.
Taste is similar. Very smooth, with a slight lingering acidity on the back to freshen the palate. Light peppery, spicy phenols through the centre, and an overarching character of green vegetation, which doesn't quite tie everything together. It's very pleasant nonetheless. Again, not as rich and complex as some examples, but certainly still good.
Alcohol is well hidden, and overall, it's pretty smooth and pleasant.

Rerate, 330 ml stubby bottle, as Triple Moine, courtesy of Cardinal Pub & Bar, Stavanger: ABV is 7.3%. Pale golden colour, slightly hazy. Huge white head. Fresh aroma of green apples and grassy hops. Fruity and mildly spicy flavour, refreshing. Original rating: 25 cl bottle, as Deugniet, courtesy of Cardinal pub, Stavanger. Very pale golden colour, first clear, slightly hazy in the end. Huge white head. Fruity sweet "perfumed" aroma with notes of green apples, some citrus and spices too. Light bodied and refreshing for a 7.3% beer, fruity flavour with green apples and some citrus again, hints of spices and yeast, very moderate hops. Not bad, but I've had better.

Appearance: opaque golden color, about one finger of foam (chalice) foam lasts long, beer is very well carbonated.
Smell: Not a very outspoken smell in my perception, a faint hint of olive.
Taste: Soft taste, well balanced, smokey flavor,
Mouthful: sticky mouthfeel, very nice aftertaste that lasts long.
Drinkability: Despite the alcohol content of 7.3 it is very easy to digest, it labels itself as a blond beer and I associate that with a beer that is very drinkable and not too complex. this beer does that. would not mind drinking it more often.
If you are a smoker this beer would be well enjoyed with some sweet tobacco.

Drank from my Duvel Tulip
A - Pours slighlty hazey golden colour with a white fluffy head that hangs around.
S - Plent of hopps and a little sweet.
T - Has som BPA qualities with plenty of hopps, a little citrus and apple, quite sweet and no spice. A little unusual fo a Tripel.
M - Medium body with plety of carbonation.
D - Does not challenge the Westmalle or Wiktap Pater and is a little more like a Belgian Pale Ale

I drank this beer on a hot dutch night together with my buddy Andy. The bottle we had has another label with the most important difference that it states that it's a tripel beer in stead of an Strong pale ale.
Poured in my Maredsous glass the beer looks cloudy yellow with a nice white head. Sweet malts and herbs and a bit of honey.
Tastes good on a day lake yesterday!
